A short spiritual discourse (YouTube video) addressing sexual ethics in the context of devotional life. The speaker explains that sexual relations between husband and wife (grihastha) are not sinful and are likened to a form of celibacy in scripture ("fifth canto"), while illicit sex (sex outside marriage, visiting prostitutes) is condemned; an anecdote about a devotee admonished by Prabhupada illustrates this point. The talk emphasizes avoiding illicit sex and endorses householder life over hypocritical celibacy.
Besides, between husband and wife their relation is considered as a type of celibacy. It is. It is said that husband and wife between them their relation is considered a kind of celibacy. So I was present once. I was a husband who was caught going to a prostitute. During Prabhupada's time there was a devotee who was caught going to a prostitute. Prabha Sadaya, you are a Grihasta. Why are you going to a prostitute? So Prabhupada said to him, you are a Grihasta. Why did you go to a prostitute? He said that wife is for having children. I ignored sex and that I went to Pratz. So he said, wife is for having children. I wanted more sex than that. So. So I went to a prostitute. Then Prabhupada said that if you have relation with your wife there is no sinful reaction there. But if you go to a prostate then you are committing a sin. So in the fifth canto it says that husband, wife, their relation is celibacy. So in the fifth canto it says the husband and wife, their relation is celibacy. I have you right there. Then the goal is to only have relations with my children. If you want pure bhakti then the goal is to have relationship only for children. But in any case, in any case there is no sin. We should avoid all forms our illicit sex that means sex start other than wife. We should avoid all forms of illicit sex. That means sex that is not between husband and wife. We have any Brahmacharis. I have to be good Brahmacharis. Otherwise better being a bad Brahmachari. Because we are. We have many Brahmacharis. They have to be good Brahmacharis. But instead of being bad Brahmacharis, it is better to be a grihasta.
