Arms. Namaste. So I'm sure that all of you must be very eager to know when Guru Maharaj is visiting uk. I think this must be your main question right now running in your mind if he's visiting and then if he's visiting and when is he going to visit? Yeah. So actually our original travel plan was to visit UK right after the Narsima Chatur Dasi and before the Panihati festival in Atlanta. We had all the plan arranged, travel plan arranged. And just probably somewhere in the mids third week of, third week of May Guru Maharaj developed a severe infection in his leg with fever, high fever and his BP was plunging and he was put on heavy antibiotics with that. It, it took almost like two to three weeks for him to come out or recover, to fully recover from that infection. And he was actually even till one or two days before the Paniyati Festival. The Panayati festival in Atlanta was scheduled on the I think 6th of June if I'm not mistaken. So Even till the 4th he was still insisting to travel to go to Atlanta for the Panayanti Festival via uk. But somehow you know we, every week we used to evaluate and have a meeting with the doctors and they told him very strictly not to travel until he fully recovers. So so then that plan got cancelled. Then we revised our travel plan and two weeks later Guru Maharaj called again because he knew he's not going to travel for the Panihati festival. So two weeks later he called us again. Then he revealed his next plan to travel to UK and the us. That was somewhere around mids of June. He said that now the Radhayatra festival season is coming up which is the Radhayatra supposed to, I mean it took place on 27 June and then in India I think most of you know the Ravayatra festival they goes on for almost seven to eight days. It's a full festival. Not like in other countries, like western countries they just celebrate for one date or some, in some places half a day. But here in India almost every single temple they celebrate for one exactly like Puri. What's happening in Puri? So he gave a complete plan how he want, he wanted to go to Siliguri and then to Durgapur and then to Diga and then to Kolkata and from here, from Kolkata he wanted to go to Mumbai for the bureau meeting and from Mumbai he wanted to travel to UK and from UK to the us. This is the plan that he revealed to us just before the Radhayatra festival. So Then we took it up. We had a meeting with the doctors and they revised this plan again. They said that Guru Maharaj, if you wanted to travel safely to UK and the us better to skip all these small, small cities like Siliguri, Turgapur and Diga, just remain in Kolkata and attend all the Radhayatra festival there. And then you go to Bombay for a bureau meeting. From Bombay to UK and then us. So this was planned. Of course, he was not so happy about it. But we managed to abort the plan of going to these places like Silchar, Durgapur, Diga, because we said that there is no proper dialysis facilities there which meets his requirements. So finally accepted and remained in Kolkata. And the first five days of the Kolkata Radhayatra festival, he was in full form, inaugurated the Ravayatra. And every evening he gave class on the main pandal. And then after that at Darshan, and then also did the question and answer session. This was happening every single night. For the first five days of the Radayatra Fasti, he was on his full form. And even because he is right now on dialysis thrice a week. And during this dialysis day, in the morning he goes to the hospital, goes for the dialysis, and then after that, from the hospital, he travels straight to the Radayatra Panda, goes, gives class, and then does question and answer, meet devotees. So he was doing that, you know, like in a full form, completely charged. On the sixth day, he was giving class after giving the main class on the pandal, on the main stage. And then from there he came to the question answer booth while he was giving class. Suddenly he developed, you know, his body started shivering and then he developed fever. And then we told him, we insisted that he should stop the class right away and should leave. And we had a plan to take him straight to the hospital. And we, you know, he was not even allowing us to move the mic out of him. He was when we moved the mic out of, you know, from, from him when he just grabbed the mic again and he wants to continue speaking, but again, we have to, you know, somehow force him to come out of the rath, I mean, the question and answer booth. And we took him to the hospital straight. And there he stayed for another five days. And again, this time he also developed the same infection in his leg. Cellulitis with high fever, BP started plunging, all the vitals became messed up. And it took like five days to stabilize. But the parameters. And then the fever, fever subsided, parameters stabilized, but the infection in the leg didn't go away. That took quite some times for infection to settle down in the legs. So again the doctor said okay, not, not to travel again. So they have to revise the plan. He was not happy. Then at the end we had to bring him back to Mayapur from Kolkata. In fact, before leaving Mayapur this time we packed all our luggages good enough to travel to uk, US and come back. All the, you know, stocks of medicines, everything was packed and ready. We prepared to travel. But in uk, I mean in, sorry, in Kolkata when he had this infection during Radha, we have to cancel the trip. We have to come back to Mayapur. And now he's still recovering. And couple of days back he again revealed the third plan. This is for the third time he revealed another plan, the travel plan to go to UK and us. And this time he said he wants, he wanted to go to either Mumbai, from Mumbai to UK and then to US or Mumbai, Dubai, Dubai straight to us. So this is what we were discussing. But two days ago, unfortunately, two days ago he started having this infection again in the leg. It recurred and he started having fever, shivering and his leg, right leg, became reddish and started having a lot of pain. Of course they were not. This infection was not as serious as the previous one and the first one. But it is quite, you know, bad then. So that's where we are now actually in regards to travel. This is where we are now. This is the third attempt that we made. First, right after Narsim Chaturasi and before the Panihati festival in Atlanta. Second, during the Kolkata Radhayatra festival failed. And now third, it was two days ago he had fever and infection. So right now we don't know. But if at all he travels, he has to travel to the US before 24th of August because his green card is expiring by then. So if at all he travels. Yes, he has to travel by then. And then, yeah, there is a chance of coming to uk. So this is where we are now. You may probably, many of you may wonder, I don't know whether I have mentioned this before but I'm not sure whether you know about it. Like you may wonder why Guru Maharaj is, you know, keep getting these infections or we keep hearing that he's sick. What is the reason for this? Reason is because in 2018 he had this dual transplant, liver and kidney transplant together. And it is a universal standard for any post. I mean for any transplantation patient. Post the transplantation, the patient will be put on immunosuppressant drug which means it brings your immunity level to the lowest possible so that it can retain your body, can retain the foreign organs in your body. But you know, the doctors told us that it is like threading the bigger evil with a smaller evil. Because when your immunity level goes low, very low, naturally you are prone to get some infections. So therefore, you know, he's putting up despite all these challenges, you know, this is one of the greatest challenges that he has that he is, you know, very steadily, with full of determination, putting up with all this now continuous infection, you know, different, different sickness and carrying on doing all these services that Prabhupada gave him. Like, you know, all this while for the last one and a half years he's on dialysis thrice a week and even in dialysis room he's keeping himself busy answering emails, watching reports from different, different devotees from around the world. They're preaching reports that they send. And also he attends meeting and beside, you know, then after the dialysis he goes back into other meetings, gives class, attend festivals. So he keeps himself busy reading books every day, half an hour to one hour and then also doing Bhakti Sarbhapam. Now he's also studying for Bhakti Sarvabama and also giving exam for that. So like that he is as usual, despite all these health challenges, recurring infections constantly. But he's keeping himself very determined and carrying on with his service as usual. Recently I was reading this particular subject. It's called the Yaksha Prashnam from the Vana Parva of the Mahabharata. This is a beautiful conversation. In fact it's a question answer session. I think many of you must have read this or heard this. A beautiful conversation between Yamaraj and Yudhishthir Maharaj. And Yamaraj asked rapid fire questions, 125 rapid fire questions to Yudhishthir Maharaj. Out of this 125 questions, one of the question was what is that one thing? If you give up, you will be loved by all. Can anyone guess? Don't do a Google search or search in the chat GPT. Just guess. It's the false ego. Yes, ego. Who is that? Ayushi Maya. Yes, false ego, right. It's a brilliant answer because generally we are, we have heard, you know, in ISKCON or in many of our classes, we always hear that devotees, we should remain humble. Humility is one of the most important quality that devotees we should possess. But here it's a very, you know, like this question, it was not like a straightforward question. It is a very indirect question, but Yudhishthir Maharaj answered this very brilliantly. He said, false ego. If you give up this one thing, you will be loved by everyone. So today, as we know, the main reason why we are separated from Krishna is this false ego. The reason why we are in this material world is because of this false ego. Because this false ego ruined our relationship with Krishna and it is still ruining the existing relationship. False ego is one of the main cause of the problem that is arising between husband and wife, between parents and children, between devotees, between guru and disciple, between employer and employee, between nations. And the list goes on. I think, I mean, I'm sure you all agree to this. This is what false ego does and it keep ruining the relationship. And therefore we are requested to remain humble all the time. That's one of the main teaching of Sri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu. Also, because in spiritual life we are always taught to remain humble. But in the world outside, you know, in universities or college that we go out there, we are groomed, we are taught how to be egocentric. Because out there they coach you, they groom you to become the best, to become, you know, what you call super, or to become most powerful. You should be number one in everything. That's how it is groomed. But in spiritual life it is the other way around. Now, identifying ourselves with false ego is the cause of our fall down. So instead we should identify what this false ego is. And some of the key characteristics of someone who is inflamed with false ego is generally, I think it's there in me and you might have seen in others. But we can also do some self reflection. And we can also see in ourselves if these characters are there, I mean within us. Because generally someone who is like inflamed with false ego, what they do is that they feel superior. They feel they are very superior compared to others and they look down upon others. And the same false ego will make you to refuse or accept your own fault or your limitation. And the same false ego makes you to believe that you are the doer of everything. And the same false ego makes you to take full credit for any success and when comes to failure, tend to put the blame on others. And the same false ego. We always wanted to dominate conversations, decisions, people. We always wanted to dominate people, other people. And with this we also false ego makes us not to surrender to our authority. Guru, then what to speak of Krishna, we will not admit our wrongdoings. And also false ego will make one resist from learning from others. Even from someone who is more experienced than us. So in this way we also lose opportunity for good counseling. So like this there are many things like false ego will also resist to work as a team. And then we, for someone with false ego always look for or crave to have, you know, some people praising them. And someone with false ego also always wanted to be charge of. In charge of something. Anyway. So these are all like we can see, these are the key characteristics of people acting on the platform of false ego. So today I'm going to share because I know you must have heard all these philosophical things many times from many speakers. And I know you all are here to hear some pastimes about Guru Maharaj. So I'm going to speak something related to this false ego. I'm going to link some few beautiful pastimes of Guru Maharaj. How Guru Maharaj deals with devotees, different, different devotees on different, different levels. So this can become a nice valuable example in our life how we can also follow the footsteps of Guru Maharaj in dealing with different Vaishnavas. I remember in 2008, February 2008, this was probably either February end or early March. This was just one day before the Navadi Mandal Parikrama started and the last day of Kirtan Mela on that evening, this was in 2008, that evening. This was pre stroke because Guru Maharaj had stroke on the 23rd of October 2008. And this was in February or March 2008. That morning, one morning a devotee came to meet me and he told me that Prabhu, I heard from the assistant of Aindra Prabhu that when Ayndra Prabhu came to Mayapur, I think you all know Indra Prabhu, right? Srila Prabhupada, disciple and the great famous Kirtaniya, very exalted devotee from Vrindavan. So generally Ayendra Prabhu, he has a vow. He had a vow that he will never leave Vrindavan. And he had only left Vrindavan just to come to Mayapur for the Kirtan Mela festival. And then in 2008, as usual he had come and somehow it happened that he felt Guru Maharaj didn't greet him and welcomed him in one of the Mangalarti. So I think probably that would he would have felt like that. And he conveyed that to his assistant and his assistant would have conveyed that to another person, to another devotee and that to another devotee. So like that it went viral in my opinion. Luckily at that time I Think Instagram or Facebook. I don't know how active they were, but this was the situation. And I only heard from one devotee in the morning and in the afternoon there were another two or three devotees who came and told me the same thing. And then in the evening another 3, 4, 5 devotees came and told me the same thing. Then I thought, like, this is becoming serious. Then I went up to Guru Maharaj room in Lotus Building and I went straight to him. I said, guruma, I have something important to inform you. And he was busy. He was about to. He was just standing outside his room just next to the door. And he was all dressed up, ready to go to Namahata Bhavan to give for the Parikrama Adivas program. The Namata Parikrama devotees, generally they do the Asanka Adi was and Sankalpa in the evening and he was ready about to leave for that. And right after that he's supposed to come for the International Book Distribution Award ceremony. So he was very busy with that program. And when I told him he, I mean he became like quite, you know, I could see some anxiety and his face changed and I could see some anxiety in his face, face. Then he asked me, where is Aintra Prabhu now? I said, gurmaji is in the Kirtan Mela. He's performing Ketan now. And that was the last day. Then he asked me what to do now. Then I don't know. Then I said, probably you can meet him. And then Guruma suggested then maybe I can meet him tomorrow. I said, now Guru Maharaj is leaving tomorrow, early in the morning at 6 o'. Clock. Then Guru Maharaj, he just, you know, was quiet for a while, for a minute or two. Then he went inside his room. Then he wrote a note to Ayindhara Prabhu. And then he told me, you go and give this to. He told me and I was accompanied by another devotee called Murali Dhar Prabhu from Perth. So both of us went down to meet Ayndra Prabhu in Panchita Hall. When we went by then it was almost like eight in the night and he was still in the kirtan. And we waited and waited and waited. At ten o' clock in the night, he ended his kirtan. And while he was packing his instruments, musical instruments, then we just approached him very respectfully from behind. And then we told him, Jataka Maharaj gave this note to you. He opened the note and he saw, you know, his eyes became very big and you know, we could See, his face became very serious. And then he asked me, where is Maharaj now? Can I see him? And I said, yeah. I said, now, give me five, two minutes and I'll find out if it is possible to see him. So I called one of the servants who was with Guru Maharaj and asked Guru Maharaj to ask Guru Maharaj if Guru Maharaj is ready to meet Ayndra. And immediately he said, yes, Gurma is ready to meet him. So then we accompanied Ayindhara Prabhu. He packed his instrument, we carried help to carry his instrument. Then we climbed up to the rooftop. As soon as Guru Maharaj walked in, sorry. As soon as Aindra Prabhu walked in into Guru Maharaj room, Guru Maharaj, he was attending a meeting. We had Bhakti Purusha Maharaj Prabhavishnuprabhu and few leaders from Iskcon, Nepal. They were sitting there and they were attending a meeting with Guru Maharaj discussing about some managerial issues in Iskcon, Kathmandu. And Gurmarj was honoring his dinner. He was eating sandwich and there was some milk and sandwich. And as soon as Ayendra Pru walked in, Gurmarsh Bedi. So they sent us first and then he left. Though the meeting was still going on, Guru Maharaj offered him a chair. And Gurmaraj told him, see, that morning, Gurmaj, that morning I saw you from far distance. I saw you from far distance. I was standing near Prabhupada and you were standing. No, actually it was Ayndra Pru, sorry, Aindra Pru, who explained about this that he was standing near Narshandev altar. And he saw Guru Maharaj walking from the Vyasasana of Srila Prabhupada. And he walked passed by Ayndra Prabhu and went straight to the Radha Mother folder in front of Radha Mother folder. And Hindra Prabhu said that generally Maharaj, whenever you see me, you always greeted me and you always welcomed me so warmly. But few days ago, when I arrived in Mayapur, when you passed by me, you didn't, you know, greet. You didn't greet me and you didn't like, you know, welcomed me. I felt like I was ignored. Then Guru Maharaj said, no, that's. I mean, okay, maybe I would have done that. But it was an unintentional mistake. Because generally, whenever someone is making an announcement, I'll be thinking about the announcement, what to speak next or what if they have missed something. So my eyes would have seen you, but not my mind. But I'm extremely sorry. I never had any intention not to welcome you or greet you. So he paid obeisances. Gurmaj paid obeisances and then embraced him, asked forgiveness, and then offered him also some dinner to join him. So like this, this is, you know, wonderful dealing between God brothers. So in the absence of false ego, you could see from this particular pastime, you could see that when there is an absence of false ego, it makes one to act immediately, to rectify oneself. Even if the mistake is unintentional, you act fast. And first you don't wait for the other person to come and ask you. Like how. As soon as Guru Maharaj heard about it, he wrote a note to him asking forgiveness. So that's how it is. Like, you know, with false ego. Generally we don't do such things. But when you act in the absence of false ego, then we can, you know, you act first and you act fast because you respect the feeling of the other person. So that is something which we could. We could learn from this story. And I have another pastime. This is related to me. In 1996, this happened in Malaysia. December 1996, we were in Patavat, this is northern part of Malaysia. And we just had Radayatra in Penang. And the next day, all the swamis, we had Guru Maharaj Prabhavishnu Swami. I mean, who's Prabhu now? And then we had Solana Janananda, Goswami Bhakti Vijanandan Swami and few others. They were there. We all stayed in the temple. We stayed in the temple. And Guru Maharaj and Prabhavishna Prabhu, they had room next to each other. And the next day morning, Guru Maharaj woke up. He was getting ready to go for the Bhavadam class to a different place. And I came to know Prabhavishnu Prabhu was very sick on that morning. He was having fever. So then I informed Guru Maharaj that Prabhashna Prabhu is not feeling well. He's having high fever. Guru Maharaj then he used to. Guru Maharaj always used to have a huge bag full of medicines. Like, you know, he travels with this small mini pharmacy. So because, you know, in travel, whenever he feels sick, he immediately takes this medicine. So Guru Mahari said, you go take this particular medicine and give it to Prabhashna Prabhu right away. So I went. And when I went into his room, there were another four or five Brahmacharis sitting around. Maharaj trying to assist Him. So while I was preparing the medicine, Guru Maharaj walked into the room and he was there. And Guru Maharaj, he was keep observing how I was preparing the medicine. And we had like six or seven similar looking stainless steel cups on the table next to Prabhashna Prabhu. And Guru Maharaj told me, you have to segregate the cups that you are going to use for Prabhashna Prabhu because he is sick, you have to keep a separate cup for him. Don't mix the cups. I understood. I heard him and I gave the medicine and water to Prabhu Brahm. After that, he returned the cup to me and I kept it in the midst of all the other cup. Now Guru Maharaj asked me, give me my medicine also. So I started preparing his medicine. And Guru Maharaj told me for a second time, make sure you are not mixing up his glass with the others. I heard him. But then when it was time to give the water and medicine to Guru Maharaj, I was about to, you know, put the water into the cup. He saw me, like I was trying to mess up things because I have mixed up the cups. And he observed that. And then he just, you know, he slapped me, slapped me on this side. It was quite hard. It was a hard slap here. And I was completely stunned. And my mind, you know, became completely blank. I didn't know what was happening. All I could see is Guru Maharaj, you know, like, with so much of anger. And I went blank. And the entire room became, you know, like pin drop silent. Everybody was like in total surprise, you know, because nobody expected that, you know, Gurmar is slapping me. And I was like trying to, mentally, I was trying to calm myself down, you know, consoling me, it's okay, fine, you know, after all, he's my spiritual master. He has the right to beat me. And it was my mistake. Fine. But while I was consoling myself within my mind, I was like almost breaking down. Then I just paid obeisances and left the room. So I went to Guru Maharaj room, started packing his luggages because we were about to leave for the Bhagavadam class in another place, at another place. And then I packed all his luggages and I started loading his luggages into the car. And there were about almost 20, 30 devotees. They were standing around the car because naturally when Guru Maharaj leaves, devotees will be there to send him off. And while I was loading the luggages, Guru Maharaj came down. He came down. He went straight, sat in the Front seat of the car. As soon as he sat, he opened the door, came out again, and he came straight to me. He said, maha, I'm so sorry. I don't know how you tolerated this. I shouldn't have done this. Please forgive me. And he embraced me and this happened, you know, he asked forgiveness right in front of all that you would have. And the devotees who were there, around me, around us, they were like, wondering what's happening here? You know, why Guru Maharaj is asking forgiveness from Mahabharah, you know, like. And he was very sincere and very down to earth. So that though, I mean, like, I hardly, I got slapped from anyone. I don't remember even my father had slapped me, my biological father. But here, Guruma had slapped me and I went blank. But Here, immediately, within 10 minutes, he came and asked forgiveness so genuinely, so sincerely. I really felt it. And this is called, you know, someone with the absence of false ego, only they could come down and ask for an unconditional apology. Conditional apology means you still trying to defend your dignity. Because here Guru Maharaj came, he didn't see time, place and the circumstances. There were so many of his own disciples there, yet he just came genuinely, sincerely, asked forgiveness in front of all of them. Because I have experienced and I've seen how many of us, what we do is generally to ask forgiveness to someone. We always try to see that we have not been seen by others. We always try to choose some private place because the false ego always dictates here within us. Because we wanted to protect our dignity. And the always be very careful in our words. We choose what kind of word to use so that, you know, we to just try to defend our dignity, choose place, time. But here, nothing. He was like, absolutely genuine and sincere, came and asked forgiveness in front of everyone, unconditionally. As I said, conditional means we always try to defend our dignity, though we may ask forgiveness. But behind the forgiveness, there is a feeling. Because the false ego will always try to pull us back. No, you know, you should not lose your dignity. That's what the false ego does. I'll give you a simple example. For example, if someone, if I'm to ask forgiveness from another person, from another devotee, I'll go and I'll tell him, prabhu, I'm so sorry that I have hurt you. You know, it was not my intention, you know, had you spoken softly, I don't think so. I would have, you know, raised my voice. So you see here, yes, I asked forgiveness from the person, but I shifted the blame on him that had you spoken softly, I wouldn't have acted like this. So this is called conditional forgiveness, where the ego is still trying to pull you back. But here, that unconditional apology that Guru Maharaj made so fast made me so attracted to him. You know, like, made me to completely forget the slap that he gave me. In fact, you know, the chastisement of Guru is actually a blessing. That's how I felt immediately. As soon as he asked his forgiveness, I really felt, it's Krishna who has revealed the advanced quality of your Guru to you. That's how I felt immediately. And I cried for almost two hours after that. After seeing that genuine apology from Guru Maharaj, I cried for almost two hours because that really touched my heart. So this is another example of how devotees, we as a devotees, we should always act not on the platform of false. See, you should be always acting in the absence of false. I'll tell you another story. What's the time now? What time I should stop?
How much time do I have in God?
All right, I'll tell you another story. This was probably in the year of 2005 or 2006. I'm not so sure. Myself and Guru Maharaj, we traveled to place called Silchar in West Bengal. We traveled by Air India and we landed there. And Guru Maharaj, he made that visit after four or five years of gap. So naturally, when we landed, even while we were waiting to collect our luggages, we could hear a loud kirtan outside at the exit. And as you know, we came out of the terminal, there were like almost 100, 150 devotees out there. They had a amazing welcome for Guru Maharaj. And we got on to the car and these devotees, they got into the bus and they were doing kirtan all the way from the airport, all the way until Gurmar reached the temple. Almost. It was a 45, one hour journey. They were doing kirtan, amazing loud kirtan all the way throughout the journey from the airport to the temple. And then after Guru Maharaj reached the temple, Guru Maharaj went to the temple hall, took darshan of the deities, offered aarti for Prabhupada, and then he came back to no. Then he. They made him to sit for Guru Puja. So Guru Maharaj also attended to Guru. I mean, Guru Maharaj. They did the Guru Puja for Guru Maharaj. And then we settled down in Guru Maharaj room. By then it was already 10:30 in the morning. And there were like hundred of our devotees. They followed Guru Maharaj all The way from airport to the temple, inside the temple hall for the Guru Puja and all the way into the room. And after Guru Maharaj sat down in his asana, all these hundred devotees, they also sat in front of Guru Maharaj. And I was outside and I was just walking into the room. I just arranged all the bags and then I walked into Guru Maharaj room and I saw all these hundred over devotees sitting right in front of Guru Maharaj. And as I was walking into the room, Guru Maharaj screamed at me like anything. He said, where is my breakfast? It is 10:30 in the morning and I supposed to take breakfast at 9 and it's already 10, 10:30. And I supposed to choose names, interview the DODs for initiation and I supposed to choose names. And you have not done anything yet. What are you doing? He was just, you know, like really screamed so loudly looking at me. I was like, well Gurmar, I was thinking in my mind like, guruma, I came along with you. We came together and we just settled down and I thought, why? Gurma is simply shouting at me. And within a minute all these devotees started leaving the room. One by one, you know, like in groups, they started leaving the room. Then I realized, okay, that bullet was not meant for me, it was meant for them. But it came through me. Then I went, I sat down and I started, you know, working on the initiation. And Guru Maharaj came after all those devotees. After they left the room, he came to me, said, maha, please forgive me. I was not meant to scold you, but I supposed to. I don't want them to simply sit in front of me and just keep staring at me doing nothing. They could just simply go and do the required service there. But since they are seeing me after so many years, I don't want to simply chastise her, you know, because naturally, you know, they just wanted to be with Guru Maharaj after being, you know, seeing him four, five years. But he didn't want to tell them directly. So he used me to tell, reconvey the message. So this is another way of how, you know, you deal with devotees sensing the, you know, the particular circumstances, the particular mood or sentiment, how he dealt with those devotees in a very brilliant way. And then after that, coming and asking forgiveness and explaining, explaining to me. So this is what it is like, you know, in the absence of false ego, you could easily sense the sentiment and emotion of other person and you act and deal with the devotees accordingly. This is another beautiful story. And somewhere in September 2016, we were in Band Hospital Guru Maharaj was there because this was like pre transplant period. And he used to get a lot of this fluid accumulated in his abdomen. And quite often we go to the hospital to remove those ascites fluid. And on this particular time in September 2006, we was in Mumbai or we we supposed to travel from Mumbai to I think Slovenia, Italy and Slovenia. So before that, Guru Maharaj visited the Bhakti hospital to get this ascitis fluid removed from the abdomen. And while we were there, the doctors recommended that Guru Maharaj should go for a ENT test because his voice was very feeble and as if like he didn't have good energy to speak out loud. It was very soft. He was speaking very soft. So therefore the local doctors, they recommended him for go for a ENT test. So I arranged ENT test with Dr. Rasa Manjari, Rasa Manjari Mataji from Bhaktiran Hospital. So we were there and I took Guru Maharaj, the servants, along with other servants, he took Guru Maharaj down to the OPD cabin of Rasamanjari Mataji. And as soon as we went in, Mataji was all ready. Then she connected a small camera. It was like a tube which is connected to a big screen which was mounted on the wall. And. And then she switched on the screen, but the screen was not working. The camera was working. The camera supposed to go inside Guru Maharaj, mouth all the way down to the throat. That was. We saw the light that was working, but the screen was not working. And then, you know, she became a little panic. Then she started to, you know, see what went wrong. And she started to check all the cables. Probably there are some loose connections. And she, you know, kept on checking and checking. And five minutes passed, nothing happened. And I could see, you know, she started becoming very panicked and she started sweating and she became quite uneasy there. But Gurumaya was very calm, sitting there chanting on his clicker. And 10 minutes passed, nothing happened. And then she immediately called the technician, the domestic technician to come and look at the problem. So the technician came. After two minutes, the technician came into the cabin and he started checking things. And you know, she started getting on his case. And then, you know, because, you know, naturally, you know, she felt so bad to keep Guru Maharaj waiting there. Fifteen minutes passed, nothing happened. They could not rectify the problem. And Guru Maharaj was still sitting very quietly. Twenty minutes passed, another technician came and together two technicians, Mataji, they were trying to repair, to identify the problem. Still they failed to identify. And this time I could See the frustration on Mataji's face. Pity her. And 25 minutes passed. Nothing happened. Then I told Mataji, Mataji, Guru Maharaj is staying in Bhaktiran, the hospital. So you don't worry. Anytime, whenever you feel you are ready, once you have rectified the problem, you call us. We'll bring Guru Maharaj down. She said, okay, Prabhu, fine. Take him up and I'll let you know. But we could see she was like so frustrated and she felt so bad that she kept Guru Maharaj waited for 25 minutes. And Guru Maharaj didn't say anything. He was just quiet, very peaceful. Then while we were rolling Guru Maharaj out of the cabin, then Guru Maharaj said, stop. I stopped and Guru Maharaj said, go and tell her not to worry and I'm going to get a second chance to meet her. And I'm looking forward to meet her again. And I went back to her cabin. I told Mataji Maharaj has a message for you. He said not to worry and he is happy to come and meet you again. I could see tears welling up in our eyes hearing that statement from Guru Maharaj. Because here, what you could see here is here. Guru MAHARAJ lost 25 minutes of his time, valuable time, though he is a loser. But he made the other person more important. And by doing so, though he has lost his valuable time. But what he gained was the trust and love of the devotee. See how he dealt. Generally, you know, person with false ego, you know, they'll say, you have wasted my time. You know, they would have blasted people like anything. But here he was very quiet. Though he lost 25 minutes of his valuable time. But he made her and made her to what he called, you know, release her from her guilty and anxiety by giving some sweet words. Now, not to worry, I will get a chance to see you again. So this is how you deal sometimes with devotees. And this can only be done in the absence of falsehood. Because you know, though you are a loser, being a loser, still you give importance to the sentiment and emotion of other person. Someone with falsehood will never do like this. So this is another. Though this story may look very, you know, simple stories, but there are a lot of things which you can learn from exalted devotees like Guru Mahanoj. There are other things, like as I said, someone with what you call false ego, they may not like to work in a team. They are not, you know, what you call that? They're not team. What do you call that? They don't like to be a part of a team, you know, they don't like to work with a team of devotees. But what I have seen from the time I know Guru Maharaj and especially being with him full time for the last 16, 17 years, you know I think most of you all know Guru Maharaj is one of the senior most co director in Mayapur. Prabhupada made him the co director in Mayapur. So he's a co director in Mayapur since the inception of Mayapur till today and being a cinemas Guru Sanyasi co directors in Mayapur. I've always seen him being very respectful, being very cooperative and willing to welcome give room to all his junior managers. I've never seen him exercising his superiority. You know I'm the senior most co director here, you have to listen to me. Never seen him exercising his superiority at all. He always, you know like in Maypur now with Gopal Krishna Maharaj left his this left this world. Bhakti Charu Maharaj left this world. Many of his peers, God brothers who were the leaders of Mayapur. Kamal Krishna Maharaj with all of them not on this planet anymore. Guru Maharaj is almost the, you know like senior most. He's the senior most co directors here and all those who are under him now all are juniors and he always deals with them as if like you know he. Exactly how he has dealt with his peers or brothers I've never seen him being very egoistic. You know. He always, whenever they come, he always offers them ice cream. Whenever he takes some snacks, he always gives them snacks and make them to feel like they are part of the team as a team. They decide things together, takes decisions together. He never dominates the conversation. That's why I was making all this point. Never dominates conversation, never dominates them, never dominates decisions. And he always likes to listen from them, always work as a team. I've seen this. As I said he never exercised his security on them. There was a time probably about 10 years back where the power of co directors was completely stripped off. There was some restructuring happened on the Mayapur management. Restructuring of the Mayapur management. And in that the co directors were kept just for a namesake because Prabhupada, you know made this particular position in May. So you know the position was retained. But they don't have any power. No power. The only thing they were they could do to call for an emergency meeting this was. This happened about 10 years ago during in the process of restructuring the management and Guru Maharaj and one more devotee. They were the co directors they were made as a co directors to be in that position. Because Guru Maharaj, you know, he was appointed by Srila Prabhupada to be a co director. So that position was retained but without any power. And Guru Maharaj never made any protests about that. He was the, that position was made by Prabhupada and he was a co director of science since inception of Mayapur till that time. And when the power was, you know, the position was there but no power was given to them. He just remained, you know, cool, no protest, nothing. Then after a year or two they realized that, you know, that was not working well. So they again brought back these co directors into full fledged power. So like that, as I said, you know, someone with false ego would have acted in a different manner. But with the absence of false ego you can always depend on Krishna and maintain your humility and work as a team together without hankering for post opposition or praise. This is what it is. So these are the things which are very, very important in our life. Something which we can always observe how these exalted Vaishnavas, they are acting, you know, each and every steps, the dealings that they do with Guru Maharaj, I mean with others. And we have, we always observe how Guru Maharaj deals with his Godbrothers, God sisters, his disciples, the devotees in general, you know, being the senior most person, he always maintains his humility, these sweet dealings with devotees. Because these are very important elements as we know. Like how. I'm not sure how many of you know this series of same Priya verses. Have you heard about this series of Sam Priya verses in Bhagavad Gita? How many of you heard about this verse? Series of Sam May Priya verses. These verses are there in bhagavad Gita chapter 12, the last eight verses. If you say, if you see these verses from from verse number 13 till verse number 20, because this particular chapter has got only 20 verses and the last eight verses in every single verse, Krishna reveals how a devotee can become very, very dear to him and Krishna one after another. In every single verses, Krishna says same Priya, such a devotee is very dear to me. Such a devotee is very dear to me. Repeatedly the last eight verse, you can have a look later. Repeatedly saying such a devotee is very dear to me. And how Krishna reveals the secrets. Krishna says, if one is free of false ego, one never claims the proprietorship. One being very friendly to devotees, I mean with others, one who never creates any anxiety to others, one who never Puts anyone in difficulties. One who never create any fear on others and one who never envy others. They are very, very, very dear to. Krishna reveals how a devotees who's practicing Bhakti yoga should develop. What are the qualities they should develop. And these eight verses in Bhagavad Gita, these last eight verses in Bhagavad gita chapter 12 are very, very important for devotees to really dive deeply into these verses. Because with this we can develop these qualities and they can. Krishna is openly saying in these verses how one can become very dear to him. Never, you know, in any other part of Bhagavad Gita. Krishna has mentioned this repeatedly. Maybe here and there, one or two, but repeatedly, verse after verses, eight verses in total. Krishna is explaining how his devotee can become very dear to him. And in all these verses you can see Krishna talks about never become envious of others. Free of false ego. He says Nirankaraha. Yes, that's a word he used. And then no false ego. And then no claiming proprietorship. Be friendly. No, you can read, you can read those verses. Amazing verses. And these qualities. If we implement these qualities naturally, the relationship between we devotees, definitely they can improve. And we can see a very loving, kind relationship can be established. Because if someone who. Someone who acts on the platform of false ego, he may feel superior. He may feel, you know, temporarily, he may feel that he's getting everything. But in the long run, eventually he will end up in an island called ego, false ego. Because all those who around him, they will leave him. He will lose the Sangha, the association of devotees, if he still keep acting on the platform of false ego. But for someone who acts in the absence of false ego, you will see thousands of people will be attracted towards him. You can see that in Guru Maharaj, the reason why thousands and thousands of people are going after him because of his kindness, because of his friendliness, because the way he deals with the devotees. So yeah, with this I land my speech, Hare Krishna and I pray to all of you, all you wonderful devotees. I can also act on the platform free of false ego. So bless me, Hare Krishna.
