Namaskar I am Dr. Geeta Lakshmi, disciple of our Guru Maharaj Jaipataka Magraj and I have been in this medical field for past 40 years and now I am the vice chancellor of MGR deemed university and I head various posts in the medical field from professor as a Director of Medical Education as a Vice Chancellor of Medical University and right now also a Vice Chancellor. But apart from that all these aren't the material and the karmic way of our living. We have to be live, we have to live our life. So in that way I've been fulfilling whatever God wanted, Krishna wanted from me to this society. But of course it was all the energy given by in my later part of my life. Energy given by our and blessings by our dear Guru Maharaj. So you would be wondering like how I did come and contact because I was also a Shivayite and also go to my own temple. But there was an attraction, how did it happen? So I would tell you the pastime that in the year of 2004 or 5 I think so probably my sister was connected with the ISKCON with the ISKCON devotees and she used to go to the Barkit Road, the ISKCON temple. But you know like I used to stand outside the gate I never entered the temple at all because I was not attracted. And why all this azzle basil? Why everybody singing, why everybody dancing? All this was new to me and why should I get inside and get in also I used to be near the gate so this was happening. And though my sister was Dr. Vasanthi though she used to come asked me to come and say that I never used to go. One day really it was the day where I became interested in ISKCON was when Guru Mahgaraj had visited Barkit Road in 2000 I think so 7 or 8 I think so it is 2008 I think so he just called me. Till then I didn't enter the temple at all so he just called me inside. Why don't you call your sister inside? So out of like curiosity elder person Sanyasi asking me to come inside. So he had just made me out and he called me and gave me the prasad and asked me to go around the Tulsi with the song Tulsi Mata song. So I went around him and he just gave me the prasad and I just came out. Then again then my sister Dr. Vasanti brought the Kirtan Prabhu to my house in Mylapur and every Sunday there used to be a Kirtan in My house where the neighbouring people would come and also preaching will be done. So slowly my children also got involved. First my daughter got involved. Even now I didn't get involved but there was something going on that's all in my life. Then my daughter got too much involved in it. And she used to go to Iskcon temple and she also dragged me into. Come on, let us go. On Sunday by the time the Iskcon temple got changed to near the Isiah road at the present temple. And since she used to go I had to go. So that's how I had to follow my daughter. Now Priya where now she is in US as a director of one of the big software company. So this is how I got connected. And each time then my son, so my son, the elder one, Karthik he also got connected with Guru Maharaj. Every time talking to him, looking at him really got attracted. So all of us, myself, my son and my daughter got attracted to him. And he used to talk to us very freely. Not like as usually we think like Sannyasis are always on a spiritual talk. Guru Maharaj used to crack jokes. And we were thinking oh, sannyasis can crack jokes. And so we got little bit more connected like oh, he comes into the everyday living of a person. So then my son, he was so attracted that he used to drive him from the airport to Chennai temple and back again. Used to do service for Guru Mahgaraj. And that is how. And there was a lot of turning point in my son's life life where because of Guru Mahgaraj's blessings really which changed his life. And now he is really one of the best person I could say. And he also got blessings from him. And his name was changed though everything was changed. But we have a lot of attraction for him. And his life also changed a lot. And I could see a best gentleman in my life, my son because of Guru Maharaj's blessings. And the other pastime I want to tell is when Guru Maharaj when I was the vice dean of Madras Medical College Guru Maharaj happened to come by train from Vijayawada or some place. And since he came everybody started to come to center. And I also visited him in the central station. Then he recognized me. How are you doctor? Everything he asked me. Then I said my college and hospital is just opposite to this central station. Then I'll come and see you where your office is. So that is how he came to my office, sat in my chair and really wonderful things happened after that. That because of his blessings My higher level of what to say. Automatically I got into Krishna consciousness, started to chant 16 rounds. And that is how slowly I. Because I couldn't chant 16 rounds all of a sudden. So Guru Maharaj said first chant twice, chant four times, chant five times. Every time he used to ask me how many times you are chanting. I used to think how many times I was chanting four times. No, you have to increase. Okay par doesn't matter, you increase it. So slowly I increased my chanting and finally I came to 16 rounds. And of course this has helped me in my life to know whatever many what to say, crucial moments come in my life or many things happen in my life. I was calm and serene because I got the strength because of chanting Hare Ka Mahamantra which kept my mind still. Which kept my mind still. And to anticipate what would be coming in future and how to tackle these the karmic problems which we face in every day to day life. So this had given me the strength. It's all because of Guru Maharaj bringing me into Krishna consciousness and my sister Dr. Vasanthi who put me into this Krishna consciousness. And today, even today. And then of course then I thought I would say. Then the next one I would say. See all this was a preparation. I think so Krishna's preparation for Guru Mahgaraj. When Guru Maharaj had to do a transplant finally he underwent treatment in Delhi, in another us, New York and other countries. But of course, you know, he landed up in Chennai. And I and my team of doctors, Dr. Rela, Dr. The other person, I just forgot his name. He himself and his team of doctors took care of him. And we used to visit Dr. Raila and the courage given by Rela either he said one answer. We have to do transplant for him. There is no live donor for him because no relatives because everybody are relative to him. But his mother's liver did not go go with him. So blood group, everything. Because we need the same blood group. So it did not go with his liver transplant. So we were looking for how to he said then go in for cadaver transplant. Of course to get a cadaver cadaver is very difficult because either we have to keep track of it. And we have as you know like we have a transplant committee at central transplant team which monitors the cadaver transplants like kidney, liver, heart, lungs, everything. So it is in a queue. In fact it was in a queue. So Dr. Raila admitted him in Global Hospital. Then we couldn't get liver, cadaver, liver. So we had to change one place to other and finally it was my sister said Dr. Vasinthi, why can't we go into a government hospital to get the. Because Stanley Medical College was the government hospital. And we could get. Because always liver would come first to the government hospital. Then only if nobody is there, it will go. So we shifted him to government Stanley Medical College where I was the dean. You know, I was the dean of that medical college. And you see how Krishna connects everybody. He connected me sometime before because how Guru Maharaj pulled me inside the Barket Road temple. And then he came to my hospital, sat in my chair. And then how we got connected and finally it would be, I think so it's Krishna's play. I would say that made happen. And in Stanley everything was done and we could get a cadaver transplant both from the same person who died because of a road traffic accident and from same person kidney. And because kidney could not be transplanted to some other person. So it came back to Guru Maharaj. And that is how a transplant had happened with the team in Stanley Medical College. And Dr. Raila took all the apparatus, all the equipment from the global hospital in a big van, brought him, brought it inside this government Stanley Medical College. And because already we had a MoU with the Raila with Dr. Rayla to do transplant, you know, that was also a game of Krishna. So he landed up Guru Maharaj landed up in Stanley Medical College wherever I was the dean where I could make things happen, happen. And this is how transplant was done for him. And it took one whole day. And people were very. The devotees and disciples were very helpful and devoted to Guru Maharaj's health. And later on Guru Mahgaraj regained. And usually Guru Maharaja used to tell that I had a dream that you were under the sea. That's what he used to tell me. Even now I couldn't understand the meaning of it. Like I was under the sea, it seems. So he used to tell after he regained from consciousness. So that is how he came out. And then his health improved. And I mean review of his health every time Dr. Dinesh he is very helpful in now it has become a raila hospital. And Guru Maharaj had all his treatment, I mean follow up through the emails and online treatment was going on and his health was monitored every time. And Dr. Dinesh used to monitor it and I and Dinesh used to. To discuss with Dr. Rela and Reila would give his comments and I would forward it to the doctors looking after the Guru Maharaj. So this is how his health is being maintained till now. And of course it's all the mercy of Krishna which I got through Guru Maharaj. My Guru and Guru Mahagaraj, the wonderful person I have seen. He is my strength. And and always, every day he gives the blessings to me. I call him and he gives me the blessings. And my chanting helps me a lot. Hare Krishna Mahamandra helps me a lot. It's all because of all the devotees, my sister, my other devotees and particularly my lovable Guru Mahagaraj. Jaipataka Swami. Namaste.

Can you tell us about your initiation interview?

Yeah. So my initiation I think so. But I don't remember the exact date. Might be it was in 2006 or 7. Might be. So slowly that's what I was telling Guru Mah. I couldn't chant so much, so many rounds and because of my work. But somehow I made myself to chance 16 rounds. And even today morning, five rounds to six rounds. Then while driving, while in the car, five rounds. And when I go back another remaining rounds through doing my walk I completed. This is how I got initiated to Guru Maharaj and also my son and daughter. Of course my husband couldn't get into it. Even now he is not into it. And when I ask Guru Maharaj why Guru Mahagaraj, my husband, he is leading his karmic life. Let him finish his karmic life. He will one day come. That's what the reply given by Guru Mahagaraj.

So how was the initiation given name?

My name was Gokula Lakshmi. But anyway I usually forget about my name and suddenly I remember Gokula Lakshmi. But since I have because I love going to temple. But I keep myself engaged with Krishna and Guru Maharaj and do service for all the devotees. That is what I do. And also my work all Krishna Arpanam. My service in medical field and service to devotees who whomever come and service to Guru Maharaj. So this is how my services go. So I forget my name. Even now my name I forget. But somehow I remember my name. It's Gokula Lakshmi. And my son's name was changed. And my daughters but they know the name. But anyway name is not because it's a new birth. That's what Guru Maharaj tells that you come away from what life you had been going through and a new life. That is how he says because of the new name given to us.

Do you have any memory with Guru Maharaj in Mayapur or another place?

Yeah, in Mayapur. I forgot to tell that we used to. Every year we used to visit Mayapur either during the Guru Purnima or narasing, a Chaturthi or Radharani festival. And usually it's like we used to meet Guru Maharaj. And Guru Maharaj will give us very good hosting also. And we used to go and talk to him in his room there in the evening hours when he comes out for preaching. So that's what. Because he is always busy in Mayapur. But when he comes out like away from Mayapur, so particularly in Chennai, he stays in Oimar Road, one of my disciples house. So he is then very close. And he will talk and talk and talk and keep on talking that other devotees will say, Guru Maharaj, you have to go to sleep, you have to take food. So that is then only the devotees will pull him. Till then he will be keeping on talking something or other, which would be really nice for me. And sometimes I might not understand because of his facial palsy, which is I could not understand. So some of the disciples will translate it and tell me because who are close to him. So we keep on talking even for one hour. So that is how Guru Maharaj is.

Can you tell us how you see Guru Maharaj following Prabhupada instructions? Prabhupada orders.

How Maharaj is doing what Srila Prabhupada wants.

What S Prabhupada.

Yeah, I know.

So how Guru Maharaj surrender to Prabhupada or how he disciple of Srila Prabhupada doing everything for the movement.

But that and all I haven't gone into depth into it. Usually preaching he used to tell. But whether your camera is on or not. But I have my way of getting the message from Guru Maharaj. For me it is Guru Maharaj. Guru Maharaj has got instilled by Prabhupada. So whatever he communicates is what Prabhupada preached him or when he had come. I mean whatever every day to day how he was with is being transmitted to us. That's all I and transferred to us. So that is how I feel.

Any instruction from Guru Maharaj, personal instruction.

Once he said, like I have problem because it's in my post. And they have given me another post. Good. He said, if you were not in this higher post, you would have been in trouble. So Krishna had given you a higher post to get away from that trouble. And he used to take tell a story like one of a known person to him or a disciple or something. Was in Kolkata only. And he had, I think so he was a headmaster or A school teacher or something. And he went into a lot of trouble and turmoil in his job. So as I had undergone. But what he did was like he didn't take up the higher post. If he would have taken the higher post, the person who was an opponent would have not given him trouble. Since he did not take the higher post, he was put into trouble by the opponent. That's the story Guru Maharaj told me that since you have taken, I used to feel, Guru Maharaj, because of this higher post, I am suffering a lot. It gives me a lot of tension. I mean, what I anticipate doesn't happen. And so I used to tell him, he said, good, you have come to a higher post. But none of the opponents or the person who wants to dig you up will not come near. That is what you have been given this post for. So don't worry about your happenings which you feel like suffering. It's not suffering. You are away from the suffering. Krishna had brought you away from the suffering. That is the story he told me when he was in the institute of biliary disease in Delhi.

Any other memory with Guru Maharaj memories.

Like always, he used to smile and put his what to say? One stick on my head, you know, that is my memory which I have about him. So every day, morning, I get his blessing. As though he is giving his blessing through the stick. So that is my memory of him. He is a personification of Krishna. That's all I can say. He is a real Rupa of Krishna, which I can see.

I didn't have a dream. Any letters. No letters. No letters I don't have. Because I get connected through my mind, you know. So no letters or no communication. Whatever it is, it will be done, right? It will be done. Hare Krishna.
