Then Guru Puja being done by her grace Kamala Gopi Mataji. And that will go on for the next 15 minutes or so. Then we'll move into one round of Japa chanting led by her grace Jaira Seswari Devi Dasi for about seven minutes there. And then we'll have some glorification of Guru Maharaj by His grace Mahavishnu Das, followed by the recitation of the Narasimha Kavacha by Bhavamalni Devidasi. And then we'll have a nice Yajna for this, just to invoke the blessings of Narsimadev Tanvantri and Sudarshana for Guru Maharaj's health which will be performed by his grace Sanatan Sevak Prabhu Radha Gopinath Das and others. And then finally we'll end the program with the closing Kirtan performed by his grace Amog Leela Prabhu Jeet Krishna Das and others. So now we will begin with Guru Aarti and Prabhupada Aarti Hare Krishna.

Thank you everyone for joining us in that one round of chanting. We'll move to the next part of our program. The next part of our program is glorification of our dear Guru Maharaj. We will hear today from his grace Mahavishnu Das. So Mahavishn Das Prabhu is among the senior most disciples of Guru Maharaj here in Canada. He has taken initiation from our dear Gurudev in 1986 in Bahrain which is also known as Balram Desh and has been selflessly serving Guru Maharaj and the ISKCON community here in the Greater Toronto area for the last 26 years. So please join me in welcoming his grace, Mahavishnu Das.

I am fortunate enough to get this opportunity to glorify our beloved Guru Maharaj. It is nothing but Guru's grace and the grace of our Vaishnava that I got this opportunity. Let me take you back almost four decades back in 1990, 1983 in Bahi later known as Balram Desh. It all started at Dr. Sitaram like was known as in a karmic name. And then later on Radharaman Prabhu House. We started this small ISKCON with few devotees, with few families. Actually only 15 or 20 families in a house. And, and that's where right now if you see Balrandesh is grown so much. But it started in the humble house of Radharaman's residence. Let me tell you about my first experience with Guru Maharaj where it started off when we went to meet meet Guru Maharaj at the airport. We were all actually not initiated at the time. So we were not aware of so many things that's happening. But my sister Guru was Grand Krishna Das who actually informed us and kept us about how conducted us and informed us. Yeah, just fixing the mic. She's still on. Yeah, so.

Yeah, yeah, yeah.

So he, he informed us how to conduct or behave in front of Umara. So that's what our session did. So in the airport, when we went to the airport, we were expecting in a saffron dress, some sanyasi to come at the airport. And then we were all expecting and then I see from far a huge 6ft white person in a golf hat and a safari suit holding a big thunder in his hand and he's walking towards us. So I was, I was really amazed by his personality and then. But Guru Maharaj was so discreet. He knew that he has come into a Muslim country and it's Bahrain. And at that time there was no ISKCON anything that spread at as it is now everybody knows what Hare Krishna movement is Hari and iskcon is. So. But he was so politely informed us please don't do any going down or anything. Just do tanam and let's go. That's all that is. What is our Guru Maharaji. He knows the surrounding, he knows the situation and he politely makes us at ease. Actually in, in the beginning we were so apprehensive and very fear what's going to happen. But just meeting Guru Maharaj at the time he put us at Ease. And that's another quality of Guru Maharaj. Yes. You know, another service that I was given at the time that's again his grace, his mercy. And I was his driver. I, I used to take Guru Maharaj around. I was still driver. So I was so nervous the first time I'm driving Guru Maharaj from the airport to the residence of. Yeah. And then on the way, I, I was just thinking what I'm going to answer if Guru Maharaj asked me a question. But that opportunity did not happen that. So when we reached the residence, there were a lot of more devotees had come. And then everybody knows how and everybody has experienced this. Right. Whenever Guru Maharaj comes, like there is garlands and everything, but Guru Maharaj is always looking and seeking something from the crowds. He'll be always looking around. And then he suddenly he has some attention, gets fixed on a couple of new devotees, new whoever has come. And then he, and then he suddenly what happened? One of the garlands he will go and put on to that new devotees. Or sometimes he will touch his danda and on their head or sometimes even the japamala, which is having. He just plays on their head. And few of us, we smile at each other. Our devotees smiling in the sense we know that person is gone. Gone means coming to Krishna conscious. You will see the next time Guru Maharaj comes. They are full into Krishna consciousness, full into the service mode. So that's what our observation and I'm sure everybody must have observed. This is so Banam desh. Like Guru Maharaj always says, this is my resting place. He always say, this is my resting place. So he used to come there and we used to make sure that he rests because we know Guru Maharaj is traveling so far, everywhere, all the places. So we want to make this place a resting place for Guru Maharaj. So we don't actually have too many questions or anybody asking. But as you all know, Guru Maharaj never rest. So immediately after he will ask, is there anything, you know, anybody has any questions, anybody can say anything or that. And we say, no, Guru Maharaj, no, we are all okay. Everything is fine, everything is going on. But Guru Maharaj is just like an X ray machine. He knows there is something, something is there. And we are not saying. So he, he, he just. So whatever little issues we have over there, because we were just growing into a, a full fledged Hare Krishna or ISKCON temple. So there are definitely issues always there. But Guru Maharaj then, you know, he solves it. So without, you know, very humbly Very politely, he will solve the problem without hurting anybody speaking feelings. And that's our Guru Maharaj. And in the end what happens? We say, yes, Guru Maharaj. Okay, Guru Maharaj. Sure, Guru Maharaj. You know, and that's how this. He solves all the questions.

Right?

And, and then most of the time.

Oh, okay.

Let me say one instance during his lecture, during his one of the classes, Guru Maharaj, what he did, he divided the group. He made two groups. One group of Bengalis sitting there and one group of South. That's from the Malayalis because they were Bengalis and South were more. Ah. The reason why he. We were wondering why he did. Why he was doing all this. But then later on we found out from the group he used to make one person translate in that Bengali side and one person from the Malali or South Indian cycle translate. He wanted that whatever coming, the nectar is coming from his lotus lips that everybody understands and everybody will take home the, the, the whatever Guru Maharaj has said for the day. So. And then during. We used to go for his morning walk. So that's why another instance in the beautiful Bahrain seashore beach, we used to walk. Well, Guru Maharaj used to walk and we used to run. Yeah. Because his stride is so long. He's walking. Stride is so long. We are literally running behind him. And during the walk then we used to have all, all the discussions, solving problems, making plans, scheduling the next place and all. And planning in the sense. Actually, though, in the spiritual world, he's. He's also aware what is happening around the world. Well, I had the opportunity to do his ticketing and things like that because I was working in an airline over there, in there. So he, Guru Maharaj knows that I knew some situation where things are there. But even spite of that, he knows exactly which airline gives you a cheap ticket, where to go, which destination. See, it's always there to save the money. And that money can go for the, the temple. So that's how Guru Maharaj and then he had definitely knows what's happening around the world. So any new devotees come, he puts at ease, but not only talking about a spiritual thing to him because it's too much. So he talks about the other make him at ease, talks of what's happening around the world. And the person, he goes, wow, this Guru Maharaj, you know, he knows everything and he's up to date with what's happening. And then, and then I see this person coming every day. Otherwise he used to not even step inside the temple, in the house and Then next time I see and believe it or not, this same person from not stepping to the temple, he became the president of the temple. So this is all Guru Maharaj's grace. And that's how he is, right? He.

He.

He knows individually, of course, everybody knows that he has got so many disciples around the world, but he'll remember the name. That's the be this thing of Guru Maharaj. He'll remember name. And then when Guru Maharaj remembers his name and then you will say, wow, we are, you know, Guru Maharaj remembers me. I'm very special. And to Guru Maharaj. And let me. Okay, quickly, because there is. I have just few minutes left.

And.

This is actually. So let me see a little bit in Toronto. What's happened in Toronto same time, during the visits of Guru Maharaj, when he was coming here one time, Guru Maharaj was so tired and he was really tired.

So.

And one of the devotees down there, I don't know who it was, but they said, why don't you go and you know, you know, reflexology, why don't you do something on his feet? You know, Guru Maharaj, get relaxed. I was very much. This thing, reflexology is something which is like an acupuncture. So but it will definitely have a blood circulation. Guru Maharaj will be released. But at the same time, I was very much concerned because acupuncture, if you touch a nerve, it's very painful. So I said, maybe. So I was actually massaging. I got the opportunity to massage feet and I was doing the reflexology and I was watching his expression and believe it or not, there was no, not, no expression at all. No pain, nothing. Then I realized that the body of Guru Maharaj is not material body, it's a spiritual body. And whatever we are doing to make Guru Maharaj, you know, that's, you know, he's giving us this opportunity to serve him. That's the thing, you know, so without much this thing. Let me also see that one time. Just another five minutes, I think when we had a new Brampton opening and I was driving Guru Maharaj to the temple. And outside the. The temple, somebody had, I know was. Did some this thing to Guru Maharaj was helping and Guru Maharaj gave him a hug. And I was looking and watching Guru Maharaj. And Guru Maharaj, he, after the giving the hug to the person, Guru Maharaj looked at me. What are you waiting for? He's telling me come and with his hands spread, he's told me, come and I'll give you a hug too. Because he read my mind that I wanted a hug too. But how can I ask Guru Maharaj, right? So then he gave me this. I call that Hugi Chaki. Really it was a miracle hug. And I put my head was touching his own chest. Guru Mah was tall and I could still. Today I feel that I still still smell the aroma, the centered beautiful aroma of Guru Maharaj. And that's how Guru Maharaj gives every one of us his this service. So let us now fulfill Guru Maharaj and he's fulfilling his Prabhupada's instruction. So let us all lead with. Guru Maharaj is leading us with his example. And he has dedicated his life to his Guru. And so we should be doing the same. So.
