Prayers for HH Jayapataka Swami Maharaja Speedy Recovery

A June 2024 YouTube recording of a Sydney-based devotional gathering led by Anandamay Gopinath Das and others to pray for HH Jayapataka Swami Maharaja's speedy recovery. The session includes group chanting of the Hare Krishna maha-mantra, personal pastimes and testimonies about Gurudev (notably by Sankirta Narottam Prabhu), recitation of protective stotras (Ugram Veeram, Narasimha Kavacha) and Dhanvantri mantra, kirtan, and closing prayers. The meeting emphasizes Gurudev's personal compassion, high standards of sadhana, and dedication to Srila Prabhupada.
Krishna Krishna Hare Hare Hare Rama Hare Rama Rama Rama Hare Hare Hare Krishna. My name is Anandamay Gopinath Das. So we are from Sydney. Most of the devotees here we have a congregation of about 70, 75 plus initiated devotees in this congregation and quite a few of them under shelter and aspiring for Srila Gurudev. So Gurudev has not come to Australia since 2016. So it has been pending for quite a long time. And we would like to pray strongly that Gurudev recovers very quickly and is able to travel to Australia and give his mercy to the devotees here. We are praying very, very strongly. So we dedicate this whole evening to Gurudev. Speedy recovery. And the agenda for this evening will be that we will start chanting Hare Krishna Maha Mantra. So we will chant four rounds and then after that we will have glorification of Gurmaraj by His grace Sankirta Narottam Prabhu. And then after that we will do chanting of Narasimha Kavacha Stotram and then Dhanmantri Mantra. And then after that we will have Kirtan and then we will close it out. I would probably request some of the devotees here to lead one round of chanting one by one. So four rounds. So we will be chanting. And to start with, may I request His Grace Srivasnitha I Gaurav Prabhu, could you please lead one round of chanting and then after that you know, we'll have other devotees leading as well, one by one. So thank you Prabhu. Thank you so much.

May I now request Sankirta Narutam Prabhu to glorify Gurudev.
Thank you. Thank you all for this wonderful opportunity to glorify Gurudev and share some of the experiences that we have had with Guru Maharaj. By his mercy. Gurudev is a ocean of mercy. We all know how merciful Guru Maharaj is. I wanted to just share few of my experiences that I had with Guru Maharaj. My personal experiences as well. Well as what I have witnessed and also what I've heard from other senior devotees on the wonderful qualities of Guru Maharaj. My experience goes a long way back in 99, I think 99 or 2000 Rathayatra in Chennai. I wasn't sure. I'm not sure which year. One of those years. Originally Guru Maharaj was a regular into Chennai Rathayatra. He used to come to our Chennai Rathayatra every year. And this particular year there was a doubt. It used to happen in January during Makar Shankaranti or Pungal holidays. There was a doubt whether Guru Maharaj will come. He may come, he may not come. They were saying there's the most probability Guru Maharaj will not come. Anyway, the services were going on. We were assembling the. There was this one devotee, I remember a Western devotee who was actually helping us with the rat and everything. And I was also very new, very, very new to iskcon. And so anyway, we were all building the raat and the next day, morning when the Rath Yatra started, that's when the other devotee, the Western devotee, was helping us with the rat. Actually he didn't know that Guru Maharaj was going to come. He was actually. He had an information that Gu. Guru Maharaj is not Coming. And then what happened was, I remember I was just standing. There was a long queue of devotees standing on either side to welcome Guru Maharaj. And so, you know, and the rat was parked, and then there were devotees on both the sides. And Guru Maharaj entered into the. In between. In between all the devotees to do the aarti ceremony for the Lord to begin the Rathi yatra. That's when this devotee realized that Guru Maharaj is coming. And for some reason, I didn't know that time, but then later, you know, he started running away. He started trying to. Because the crowd was very thick, and still he was trying to maneuver his way to get out and run away. And for Guru Maharaj, actually some or other noticed this particular devotee and he called him by his name, and he pulled him, you know, in from inside the crowd. He pulled him out and he gave him a big hug. And then this devotee actually started crying. And then he said, guru Maharaj, I was actually trying to run away because my sadhana is not great for the last, you know, few, you know, few. Few days or months. You know, I am struggling to do my rounds and I'm not keeping up my walk house. So actually I was actually trying to run away. I didn't want to face you. This was actually in front of all the devotees. And then Guru Maharaj actually gave him a very profound instruction. He said, yes, okay, you are struggling, you know, with your sadhana. I hear that. But this is the time that you should actually take the association of your spiritual master, not run away from him. The more the association you take, the more you can actually come up in your Krishna consciousness and come back to your normal. Back to your normal self. So that was one of my first interactions that I've seen Guru Maharaj, how he handles the other devotees, how compassionate Guru Maharaj is, and how in spite of thousands of people standing there, he could find that one devotee who was actually. Actually, you know, struggling in his Krishna consciousness. And Guru Maharaj was. I've observed him many times this, you know, when typically when we struggle with our sadhana, when we struggle with our devotional service, we tend to stay away from devotees. But Guru Maharaj always emphasizes the other way around. The more, you know, if you struggle with your Krishna consciousness, if you are struggling with your sadhana, the first thing Guru Maharaj says is find association of serious devotees. And, you know, by their association, you will be able to come up. And Guru Maharaj is very specific about it. He doesn't condemn devotees. But at the Same time, he. I've never seen him compromise on the sadhana as well. He was. He's really. He keeps a very high standard. And by his compassion, he is able to actually pull devotees. Devotees to that level that Srila Prabhupada set for us. Again, you know, one other incident. This is more personal. I had just taken aspiring from Guru Maharaj. I had been to a big trip in Mayapur and I've come back and my sadhana was very nice and everything. But then because of my office situation, they transferred me to another city. And there I was not having any association. And my sadhana started going down completely.
Completely.
Many of you may not. I don't know how many of you know this Guru Maharaj used to come in Yahoo Chat those days, you know, So I used to work the night shift. And one day I was actually in the office. I was sitting in the office and I was actually around. It would be a night, I think around 11:30, 11:30, 12. And then I saw Guru Maharaj suddenly come online in Yahoo Message Messenger. So I was just thinking, why don't I try reaching Guru Maharaj? You know, actually I had interacted at that point very little with Guru Maharaj. You know, he had seen me couple of times in the Chennai temple. He had seen me couple of times in, you know, with the devotees from Bangalore and with my mentor. So then, anyway, in the night, I just like typed in the Yahoo Chat, Hare Krishna, Gurudev. Then the first question Guru Maharaj asked me is, you are calling me Gurudev? Are you my disciple? And then I said, no, Guru Maharaj. I'm actually not yet initiated. I am only aspiring at this point. And then the next question Guru Maharaj asked me was, how many rounds are you chanting? So then I told Guru Maharaj, some days I do 16 rounds. Some days I don't do my rounds. I do only two rounds, three rounds, four rounds. And then, you know, Guru Maharaj told me, whatever you are doing, that's fine, but do not fluctuate. Whatever you are doing, keep it at that level. Keep a bare minimum, and do not go down from that. And you should only go up from there. Either you go up or at least you keep up to that level. That was one instruction Guru Maharaj gave me. And the second instruction that Guru Maharaj gave me was, you know, he told me, actually go back and live with the devotees. I was actually originally living with the working devotees in Bangalore when I was working. And then he actually told me, you go back there and, you know, stay there. Then automatically your sadhana will come up. And I was amazed that Guru Maharaj actually knew the whole situation. He knew who I was reporting to, even though I was very, you know, I was aspiring disciple. And he actually gave that very specific instruction. And I was, you know, then we had a future. You know, I took his blessings and everything. And then I. Next day I was thinking, what's going to happen? Guru Maharaj has given me this instruction. I don't know what the office situation is, whether they will allow me to, you know, go back or, you know, to that role and all of that. But again, Guru Maharaj's mercy is so wonderful that with. Within a week, I got another job and, you know, in. In Bangalore then, you know, I went and stayed with the devotees and started, you know, bringing my sadhana back up. So Guru Maharaj is very personal. I've seen this many times in his interactions with his devotees. He's very personal. He knows, he understands the devotees. He understands the problems, issues, and he gives solutions that will actually, actually really help us, you know, come up in our Krishna consciousness. I've seen this not only with myself. I've seen this with thousands of times, you know, Guru Maharaj doing this. I even remember one time, again, this was in Chennai temple. Guru Maharaj had just come over for a very short period. He was there only for six hours. He was just, you know, in between two flights. He came to the temple and it was a walking day. So there were no devotees, which is a very rare situation because whenever Guru Maharaj goes anywhere, you would see actually thousands of devotees waiting for him. And that one particular day was very rare because as I was saying, it's a working day. Guru Maharaj was coming for a very short period of time. And so there were very few devotees. Like maybe 15 of us were only there, which was a very less number. And again, by the Lord's mercy, Jagannath Bhalladev, Supudra's mercy, I. I was asked to serve Guru Maharaj's lunch. So I was serving Guru Maharaj's lunch. He took his lunch. And then, you know, then I came out after lunch. Guru Maharaj was meeting with the local, you know, temple president and few other devotees. And I was waiting outside. Guru Maharaj was about to leave for his flight. So we were all waiting outside. And then Guru Maharaj came out. And then he came straight to me and he said, said, open your hand. And for some reason, I didn't hear him properly because I was in, you know, I was again in, in In. In my own world. And so I was saying, sorry, Guru Maharaj. And then Guru Maharaj said, open your hand. And second time as well. I didn't realize what Guru Maharaj was saying. And so I was just looking around me to see whether any other devotee understood what Guru Maharaj was, you know, saying. And then Guru Maharaj actually, actually pulled my hand. He took my hand, opened it, and he put something there. And then, you know, I saw Guru Maharaj had put something. Then I opened my hand and I saw what it was. It was actually tilak, you know, Gopichandan. And then he said, put it on. And he said, you know, because he had observed me when I was serving prasadam, my tilak, somewhere other. It had like, you know, I have this skin where the tilak goes off very easily. So Guru Maraj said, you know, always wear a tilak. I don't want to. I want you to wear this tilaka immediately. And, you know, so we can see how Guru Maharaj, he keeps up how personal he is, number one, and how he actually keeps a very high standard. And he pulls us to that standard effortlessly without making us feel bad. Actually, he makes us feel extremely good, you know, to do the services. And so like that. That there are multiple instances where I've seen how personal Guru Maharaj is. This is another, you know, incident. This was like as I was living, you know, again, I was. This is after my initiation. So after my initiation, immediately after my initiation, within two, three months, in my office, they asked me to go to US So I was in US And I was actually, you know, living in a small town near Bosnia, Boston. And then at that time, my mentor, Chaitanya Prabra, he called me and he said there were some things that he had to discuss with Guru Maharaj. And Guru Maharaj is in US and he actually gave me his secretary's number. And he said, can you try locally calling from your number and reaching the secretary and see whether I can, you know, have a conversation with Guru Maharaj? So I was off in. In my office working at that time. Those days, you know, we had separate cubicles kills. We had our phones, you know, separate phones and everything. So then I called that particular number to reach Guru Maharaj secretary, and it went to one voicemail, you know, nobody picked up. So then I explained. My name is Sankirt Narutam Das, and I'm, you know, my mentor is Chaitan Prabhu. And he wants to reach Guru Maharaj to talk out certain, you know, he wanted to have Certain discussions. And then, then, you know, I left that message, you know, in my usual way. I was just blabbering, you know, like, you know, like talking more than necessary. I left a very long voicemail and then I just, you know, you know, finished it and I gave an update to my mentor and then I left it there. You know, this happened and then another two, three weeks passed by and I completely forgot this, this whole incident that I had put a voice message in this number and then, then suddenly I get a phone call in my office. And in my office phone number, you can, you know, those days we didn't have mobiles. I'm talking about 2006, 7. So I didn't have any mobile phone or anything. But the office phone number had this. It will display the numbers that will. Even though it was a desktop, desktop phone, you will still, still see the, you know, number from. And I saw this number and I see I've seen this number somewhere. And you know, I, I actually didn't recognize the number. But anyway, I picked up the call and then, you know, I said hello. And then immediately from the other end I heard a very, you know, booming voice. You know, Har Krishna, this is Jataka Swami calling. Am I talking to Chaitan? And then I was, I know I, I couldn't recog. I know. Then I, my mind was not processing that it's Guru Maharaj was calling me. And I dropped the receiver and then I picked it up, up and then I said, Hare Krishna, Guru Maharaj. And you know, as usual I started blabbering, you know, Hare Krishna, Guru Maharaj, you know, to your lotus feet, you know, you know, it's, it's so this thing that. And then Guru Mahaj said, stop, stop. He said, I am in Tokyo. I am actually flying out of US and into another part of the world. And I have a transit of two hours and I want you to connect me to Chaitanyari. Call me back when you can get hold of Ch. And then he told me this and he kept phone down. And then this was basically in US time. And you know, when I called India, it was night one o' clock. And I tried to reach my mentor and finally I got him through after half an hour. And then I called Guru Maharaj, you know, back, keeping my mentor in the, in the conference call. And then Guru Maharaj picked up the phone and then I, I again, I started blabbing Hare Krishna, Guru Maharaj. And Guru Maharaj said, I told you, you, I told you to connect me to Chaitan. I have only few minutes. What are you doing? Luckily then, you know, my mentor said, guru Maharaj, I'm here in the call. And then, you know, they, they started talking about various preaching programs and you know, but you know, the, the point that I was, you know, how personal Guru Maharaj, you know, was and is, you know, he would respond to every mail, he will respond to every phone call. You know, he actually didn't have time when he was in US for two weeks, two and a half weeks. But he kept a track of the devotees who are trying to reach him and you know, when he was actually transiting, you know, between us and another country. And when he was in Tokyo, that two hours time, he was not actually wasting or, you know, even taking rest. You know, we all know how little Guru Maharaj used to take rest. And Guru Maharaj actually, but he didn't. He is always, all the time he's thinking how to connect and how to help and serve the devotees. And so that's one pastime I very well remember. So these are some of the pastimes that I've seen how Guru Maharaj is so personal on his relationship with his disciples, how intimate and how much he cares for his disciples in every aspect of life. And you know, amazingly, you know, I remember, you know, we met Guru Maharaj. This was in, before I went to us this 2007. 7. And my mentor at that time, he was working for a very big company and he was having some job issues and so he was thinking of changing jobs and they were asking him to move out and all of that. So he was discussing with Guru Maharaj what his options are in terms of preaching and everything. And then we all know that in 2008, Guru Maharaj had a stroke. And then after the stroke, he was in Bhaktivedanta Hospital in Bombay. And then I heard this from my mentor because I was not there. He said that when he entered, you know, after Guru Maharaj woken up from his coma and he was, you know, started interacting with his disciples, you know, my mentor, when he entered the hospital room and he went to, went near Guru Maharaj, the first thing Guru Maharaj asked my mentor is, what happened to your job? And then, you know, my mentor was like, you know, you're saying here is a person, you know, know, who had had a life threatening stroke, who had had such a difficult situation physically. But even in that situation, Guru Maharaj is so compassionate. He's always thinking about the others. He's always thinking about what issues we are going through. What problems we are going through, how he can help them. So you can see how personal Guru Maharaj is with his disciples. He's very, very, very personal in his relationship. And even after the stroke, there are many things that we learned from Guru Maharaj. This was again, I think, in Adelaide, you know, one night we were doing night service for Guru Maharaj, me, another devotee from Melbourne. So both of us were doing night service. This was, you know, you know, that how in the night we help Guru Maharaj if he wants to turn or if he wants some water or whatever, help. So the devotees are supposed to stay awake and take care. One of the services Mahavarah Prabhu had given us because the, you know, was, I think this is 2013, you know, sometime around 2013, 14. Anyway, Mahavara Prabhu had told us, keep a log of when Guru Maharaj in the night, if he wakes up, up. If he wakes up and goes back to sleep, you note down the times when he was awake because the doctor has said he has to take minimum, certain number of hours of rest, you know, so that he can. He can, you know, he can be, you know, he. He can improve his health. So this other devotee was very meticulous. You know, I was. I was new to the service, but the other devotee who stayed with me was extremely meticulous. What we noticed in the night was Guru Maharaj will be lying down, and then suddenly we will hear somebody clicking, you know, the clicker, like. Like 20 times, 30 times. So initially it didn't. We didn't realize what was happening. And then, then this devotee understood that Guru Maharaj is actually chanting whole night he was doing that, and he was keeping count as well how much he is chanting. So because we were not able to realize, you know, what, you know, whether Guru Maharaj is awake, whether he is sleeping. So what this devotee, you know, being meticulous, if I remember correctly, he started capturing how many clicks he's doing in the clicker. So you can roughly see how many rounds he chanted in the night. So the next day, morning, Mahavara Prabhu and one of the very senior disciple here in all Australia, both of them came inside, and this devotee gave the report. And then, you know, Mahara Prabhu, you know, went to Guru Maharaj and said, guru Maharaj, whole night, you didn't sleep properly. You are chanting so much. And, you know, you didn't take your rest. And then Guru Maharaj said, no, no, no, no, no, I took my rest properly. And then they said, no, no, no, Guru Maharaj, see this slip? They have noted down the number of times you clicked, the number of times you woke up in the night and all of that. So if we calculate all of this, it looks like you. You are almost like three, three and a half hours chanting in the night. And then Guru Maharaj said, no, no, I think these guys made a mistake. Maybe they are new. They didn't do it properly, you know. And so the other senior devotee who was in the room, he made a very, very deep observation. He said, guru Maharaj, I have always seen devotees give an excuse why they can't chant. You are the only devotees who is giving an excuse why, you know. You know, like, you chanted and you wanted to, you know, give an excuse that, you know, to. To do more devotional service. Everybody gives an excuse why they can't do devotional service. And you are the only one, you know, because Guru Maharaj was saying, maybe I was chanting in my dream, you know. And then, you know, I. I was just doing it out of habit. And then this devotee was saying, guru Maharaj, it looks like we give an excuse why not to do sadhana. And you are the other way around. You are trying to give excuses why you are so Krishna consciousness conscious. And then later that day, I was actually reading also, you know, in Chaitanya Charitamrita, one of the verses, it says that a devotee, you know, he actually chants in whatever situation, he is actually always connected with Krishna. And we can see this with Guru Maharaj. You know, his level of sadhana, his dedication, his standard that he keeps for himself and for his disciples. And in spite of all these high standards, he still always, always pulls us up to that level instead of, you know, pushing us. You know, I. I've seen that he never condemns a devotee. He's very personal. Another, you know, one other very wonderful pastime I heard from. This is something I heard from his Holiness, Kadambakananda Swami Maharaj. When he was here in Sydney. I had the opportunity one time to cook a lunch for him. So I had cooked the lunch and I had taken him and I was serving him, and he asked me me what your name is. Who is your spiritual master. And then he said, I'm going to tell you some pastimes of your Guru Maharaj. And then he told me that Maharaj used to be Kadamakana. Maharaj used to be in charge of building the Prabhupada Samadhi Mandir. He was given the project. He was in charge of building the Samadhi Mandar Pushpa Samadhi Mandir in Mayapur. And he said, your Guru Maharaj is one person from whom, whom it is impossible to get money. He is so careful about Srila Prabhupada's money. You know, you can ask this to any devotee, they would say. And so I was just trying to get the next, you know, check released for the project to keep going. And your Guru Maharaj kept on postponing, postponing, saying, I'll give it to you this. And he asked me hundreds of questions and I answered all of that. And finally he said, okay, today you come to my office, I'll give you the check. So then he said, I went to his office and I was waiting and waiting and waiting. Finally, you know, like I came, you know, he went in the evening and he was waiting until night. And around 8:39, Guru Maharaj came. And then after he came, he again started asking, are you saving money here? Are you doing this? Are you doing that, that? And then, you know, he, he, at 11 o' clock, he started writing the check. And then he wrote. And then again he started asking questions. And then, you know, he didn't sign the check, but he just wrote the amount and everything and he kept it there and he didn't sign it. And it went to 11:30. And then I told Maharaj, it's very late. I've answered all your questions. Please give me the money. And then finally at 12 o' clock, he signed that check and he handed over to me. And then he said, you know, I took the check and I was so relieved. I got the money and then I got up to leave. And then Mara said, please wait, can you give me the check back? I said, no, I'm not going to give you the check back. If you have any questions, I will answer you later. Guru Maharaj said, no, no, no. I have a really important way of saving money. Money. When we built the temple, you know, the Mayapur temple, there was some excess steel that I have saved. So if you, if you come by my room tomorrow, I can help you, you know, get those steel, this thing, which you can use in the project. That way you can save some money. And I said, okay, Maharaj, but I'm not giving the check back. And he said that. I know. I left night late. And next day, morning, morning, he made sure that he sent one of his disciples to get me. And I went to his room. And that day Guru Maharaj was supposed to meet one of the Ministers of West Bengal. He. And at that time there was a very senior disciple of Prabhupada. His name was Harikesh Swami. Both of them were supposed to meet. And your Guru Maharaj, that, those days, he was like, you know, he'll have that Lotus house, you know, top floor, the bathroom. That bathroom will not have a full door. It'll have a door only to the neck, like a Brahmachari, you know, bathroom. And he was taking bath from inside and he was giving me instructions on further how I can save money. So, and then after taking bath and Harikesh Maharaj was pushing him, you know, we have to go, we can't be late to meet the minister. And he was about to get into the car and before the car, he came out of the car, he ran, ran and you know, pulled me with him and he took me to a room in the Lotus Building where he has saved so much steel from the previous project. And then he actually, he said, you know, he said, please use this, don't waste this. This is all Prabhupada's money. So we can see how, you know, you know, Maharaj was saying, your Guru Maharaj is someone who is very dedicated to Srila Prabhupada and in protecting Prabhupada's legacy and making sure that none of the resources are wasted, wasted, you know, in Srila Prabhupada service. Again, as I said, Guru Maharaj, standards are very high. One other. Again, you know, I'll just say one more pastime probably and then close this. Regarding how specific Guru Maharaj is in terms of, you know, taking Prabhupada's money and you know, valuing the resources in Mayapur, again, I was in Mayapur, Guru Maharaj's disciples were serving him. Guru Maharaj had like, this is after the stroke and he was having his, you know, somebody was feeding him. They had put him this plastic apron. And then after the dinner was over, this, the devotee who was serving, he picked up the plastic apron and he like, you know, he like, you know, folded it like in his hand and he threw it in the dustbin. And Guru Maharaj noticed this whole thing and he called the Brahmacharya and said, what is, you're like, you know, doing this and this. What is it like? He said, guru Maharaj, no, it's a eusanthroplastic apron. So that's why I threw it. You know, it's, it's one time use. It's done. So that's, that's Why I, you know, then he said, why don't you use a cloth apron that can be reusable? Why do I have, why do you have to put me, you know, a plastic apron, then throw it and waste it? And then, then the Brahmachari said, no, Guru Maharaj, this is what the cook gave me. This is what they had. And that's why I had to put it on, on you. And then Guru Maharaj became a bit upset. He said, do you know what will happen if somebody had given a similar answer to Srila Prabhupada? And then Guru Maharaj started going very heavy on the Brahmachari, saying, you guys really don't value what you get nowadays. He said, Prabhupada was so specific. Prabhupada was so particular in terms of taking care of Krishna's resources that even the letters that he got got, you know, the envelopes. He will save it. He will open the envelope with a, with a knife and then he will use it for taking notes. Prabhupada was so specific that nothing that came his way will be wasted. But you know, like your generation, you guys are not actually really valuing the resources that Krishna has given you. So again, you can see that how specific Guru Maharaj is in terms of, you know, saving the resources serving Srila Prabhupada and his dedication to Srila Prabhupada. It's amazing. One God brother actually told me this. A very senior Godbrother in Mayapur. He said, I'll tell you one trick, you know. He told me how you know, Prabhupada, you know, one time somebody came to Prabhupada and said, prabhupada, they have put like some negative reviews about ISKCON in the, you know, newspaper. Prabhupada said, that's all right, right? Then he asked the disciple, can you count how many times they have put Krishna in that article? So the disciple counted and I'm not sure about the number. He said, so many times they mentioned Krishna in the article. Then Prabhupada said, we are successful as long as Krishna's name is there. You know, this whole article, whether it is positive, negative, doesn't matter. It is super successful for us. Similarly, this God brother said, you know, one of the things that you can learn from Guru Maharaj, if you want to know, know. He said, you listen to Guru Maharaj's classes and you count the number of times he mentions Srila Prabhupada and that way you can understand how dedicated Guru Maharaj is to Srila Prabhupada. And amazingly, you know, I after that, that God brother told me, I went and listened to the old lectures that I've listened like in the 1978, 80s, 85, 90s, even now, you know, you, you listen to Guru Maharaj class, you would see that he would quote and he would, you know, specify Srila Prabhupada at least few times in his lectures. He would never not quote Srila Prabhupada in his classes ever. You know, again, you know, you can see how personal his connection is with this spiritual master and how he makes sure that he gives a personal connection to his disciples. How he values everything, all the resources and you know, in Krishna has given. And so these are some of the few pastimes I just wanted to share with all the devotees here. Again, you know, I'm very, very thankful to all the devotees, Anandamaya Prabhu and everyone who has allowed me to talk about Guru Maharaj and share few experiences that I had with Guru Maharaj. And what I, you know, there is no end to the glories of Gurudev. But then I think I've already gone two minutes over to time so I'll stop talking now. Thank you Anandamay Prabhu and all the devotees. Thank you for allowing me to talk about Guru Maharaj and that helps to purify me a lot. Thank you Hare Krishna.
Thank you very much Sankirta Narutam Prabhu for that enlightening pastimes. It certainly is very inspiring to us hearing about Gurudev. It is very much needed. Thank you so much. And so now we will continue to chant the prayers for Gurudev's speedy recovery. So right now what we will do is we will chant ugram veeram 108 times and then after that we will chant Narsima Kavacha Stotram. And then after that we will chant Dhanvantri prayers. So I request Kaveri Gaurasevani Mataji, could you please lead chanting of Ugram Veeram?
Can you hear me? Narashimbiram Mahavishnam Jalambatram Namah Narration Narashimbishanam Jalantam Sharvatam Jalam.
Thank you Mataji. We will now chant Narshima Kavacha Stotram. So wherever it says Mama or may, we will replace it with Gurudeva. So I'll share my screen and you can follow in the screen.
