Narada Muni said, oh, you're just a young boy. You know it's very dangerous here in the forest. You better go home. Come back when you're grown up. Grown up. Then you can do better. Then you'll have a better chance. You're just a young boy, be very dangerous for you. I don't think you should be here in the forest is not safe for you. That should go back to your mother.

Yeha bachaho. Yes.

So Dhruva Maharaj was not very happy to hear these words from Narada Muni. And his said, oh no, I'm not going home. I haven't found God yet. First I have to find God. So Narad as the guru, he first of all tested the disciple. Not that just like we have. Similarly the process is there, it is gone. You want to get initiation. You want to accept the spiritual master. He will test you. First of all he will want to see that you. You're determined to be steady in devotional service. Just like in Prabhupada's time. Prabhupada expected devotees, shave your head. If you didn't shave your head, you would not get initiation. He would expect the devotees to go out and distribute books and do Sankirtan. He did not just so easily. And he would ask everyone, come for initiation. When you bow down and offer a face and say, he would say, what is the Pranam Mantra? What are you? You have to say out Prabhupada's Pranam Mantra loudly. He has to see that you know these things. Otherwise no initiation.

So naratmani durumarasko apna pariksha karna chate. Maybe.

Yes, Guru dekte Prabhajika Samai. May diksha lenaka matlabuhote sarme baldrek Dikshani Hotah or Yebi grant maybe Bhagle napatah.

So Dhruva Maharaj was being tested by Narada Muni. And it happened. A lion came. And the lion came and roar. And Dhruva Maharaj looked him in the face and said, are you God?

So Narad Muni.

Narada Muni was happy to see the determination of Dhruva Maharaj. And so he told him, you go there into this forest, this Madhuvan forest. And there was a lake there also. And he told him, you stay there, you take bath there in that lake three times a day. And he gave him also mantra. What mantra was he chanting? Yes, he gave him this mantra to chant. And Dhruva Maharaj was chanting. And he was also controlling his mind and senses very strictly. First month he was eating only some fruit which grew on the tree. Second month he would eat only dry leaves which fell from the tree. Third month he would drink only a little water from the nearby Khund. Then fourth month, he stopped drinking. And he would breathe. He would control his breathing. And he would only take a breath of air once every three days. So in this way Dhruva Maharaj was performing great austerity. Although he was a young boy, at the same time he was standing on one leg and controlling his mind and senses. And because he was doing all of this, it had an effect in the universe. And all the demigods began to suffocate. They could not breathe. So the demigods were in great anxiety. What is happening? And they approached Lord Vishnu. And Lord Vishnu told them, yes, this is because of the austerities of Dhruva Maharaj. And so the Lord came to this forest. The Lord appeared here riding on the back of Garuda.

He came to see Dhruva Maharajskia or Bhagwarna Unkobola.

So the Lord appears before Dhruva Maharaj. And Dhruva Maharaj sees the beauty of the Lord and he is immediately attracted to the beauty of the Lord. And he forgets all about his material desires. So the Lord appears to Dhruva and requests him, what is your desire? You want to have a kingdom. I know you want to have a kingdom. But Dhruva Maharaj said, my large, I am not, I don't need anything now. He said, I came here looking for pieces of broken glass. But seeing you, I have found the most beautiful jewel. So in the Bhagavad Gita, Lord Krishna describes how there are four kinds of of people, pious people, they come to Ka Consciousness. Chaturvida, Bhajantimam, Gyana, Sukriti, no Arjuna, Arto, Jignasur, Ardharti, Jnanicha, Bharata Shaba. Four kinds, four reasons why people come to Ka Consciousness. Dhruva Maharaj is an example of someone who came to Ka Consciousness looking for some material gain. He wanted to get a great kingdom. But once he saw the Lord, then he no longer had any desire. So we see how by doing devotional service even with material desires, we can become purified. In Rmad Bhagavatam, there's an example of how a deity, deity rather, Deity wanted to have a son who would kill Indra. And Indra knew she's doing Tapasya to get a son to kill me. So he began to serve deity. And he was looking for some mistake in deity's practice. She was doing that vrat, you know, by which her husband told her, you follow this for one year, you'll get the son who will kill Indra. But if you make a mistake, you'll get a different result. So one day she took Prasad. She didn't. She was tired, she was weak. She didn't wash her hands after eating. And she took Indra Saad, now is my chance. And he entered into her womb and she had the the child in the womb. He cut it into seven pieces. And then the seven pieces protested that don't harm us, we are your brothers. And he cut each piece into seven again. And then this way it became 49. And Indra was thinking he was going to kill. But they became all brothers of Indra. They said to Indra, we are your brothers. They were the maruts. And in this way Indra took the maruts with him. Deity became happy although she got a son. And she said I only wanted one son son, but I've got 49 children now. And then Indra explained what happened.

But she was happy because she become purified by devotional service. And Indra was also happy. He got 49 brothers although they were born in the family of the demons because Diti's children are demons. But these children became demigods because she was doing devotional service.

Haran de jo indrako vat karaki so ilhone apnea patiko puchata jobrathia egg patramit santah osatom putra indraki hamke sathe kushogiyaka janamhua maruta banay ye kistakaran sehua jo bhatimai seva karan or was rathkarna manbi sutuhagaya jo bhatika obhaka prabhagaya or obi kushogi kushabi.

Okay, so I'm talking Dhruva Maharaj. Because he'd been doing devotion, he lost the material desire. And he saw, he saw the Lord and he was so satisfied. So this is the glory of devotional service shown to us. Even though a little boy, young boy, he can become so purified by doing bhakti yoga.

Bangay yehi bhattika, yashwatah Jobi bhatika, seva me lajatah.

So Dhruva Maharaj got his wish. The Lord tells him, he said, I'm going to give you, although you don't want it, I'm going to give you it. Because you, you came here initially with this desire. We have to be very careful. What is our desire? You have some material desire, you're coming. You may end up having to take accept that material desire. Even though you may give up your material desires by being here and doing this parikrama.

So Bhagwan nahi chal kembol manteh nahi chalte.

Went home and he'd been away from home for six months. And his father was feeling so much distress that my little son, he's gone away from home. I've lost my son. And he was so worried. But then he got the news that Narada Muni came and told him that your son is saved and he's achieved perfection in yoga. And the Lord has come and personally met him. Your son has become a great devotee. So the father was overjoyed that oh my Son. My son. He was feeling so much love and affection for his son. So in this way, Dhruva Maharaj became the king. His father retired, took the Bhvanaprastha, went off to the forest, and Dhruva Maharaj became the ruler. And Dhruva Maharaj ruled for many, many years. And after some thousands of years, because it was Satya Yuga who lived a very long time. After a long time of ruling the planet, he retired to Badarak Ashram. And there he did Tapasya for sometime in Badarak Ashram. After staying there in Badric Ashram for some time, it happened that a airplane came from Vaikuntha. And they told Dhruva Maharaj, we have come to take you and Dhruva Maharaj, before getting in the airplane, he first of all took the blessings from from all the other people there in Badar Ashram. And he offered obeisances to all the great sages and saints there, took their blessings. And then as he was getting in the airplane, he remembered his mother. And he said, just a minute. What about my mother? Because she was the one who in the beginning she had told me that I have to go to God. I have to find God to solve my problems. So she's my guru. So I cannot go without my mother. But they said, don't worry. Look over there. There's another airplane. And your mother is in that airplane. She's also.

Jabdurashra Meharah or Virajman Hoye or Baikun Jayangay. Ari Mera Matakya Hoga Mera Mata Muje Marta Bhagwan Kepas Jana Khalier Matako Chodke Mekaikunjasakkah.

So he didn't go into the spiritual world, but he went to Dhruvaloka. The airplane took him up to Dhruva Loka. Dhruvaloka is the pole star. And the pole star is central in the universe. All the planets are rotating in the universe. They're all rotating around the pole star. And Dhruva Maharaj is reciting there on that pole star until the end of the lifetime of Lord Brahma. That pole star is like a spiritual planet within the universe. It's not annihilated at the time of the end of the life of Brahma. All the other planets are annihilated. But it does become unmanifest during the end of the life of Dhruva. But it's an eternal spiritual planet. So Dhruva Maharaj resides there.
