Spiritual Safari 2025 (South India) cultural program in ISKCON Tirupati

This YouTube video documents a 2025 cultural program at ISKCON Tirupati tied to the Spiritual Safari (South India) pilgrimage. The program mixes informal testimonies, devotional singing, and speeches. Highlights in this chunk: explanation of the safari concept and a short congregational song (credited to His Holiness Jayapataka Swami), a historical/sociological account by His Holiness Bhakti Vikna Narasimha Swami about ISKCON’s early work in South India (he first visited Tirupati in 1976), praise for TTD’s management and cooperation, announcement that His Grace Revati Ramana Prabhu was approved as an initiating spiritual master (announced as occurring “yesterday”), and a forthcoming drama by Malaysian devotees. The setting emphasizes preaching, book distribution in multiple languages, and the importance of Tirupati as a major preaching/visitor hub.

1976.
His Grace Revati Ramana Prabhu (announcement stated it occurred 'yesterday').
The talk with the tree and the voice came to me. They saw me there. I was starting my prashad. He said, prabhu, you gonna stay in India? Just there, you know, I got my desire fulfilled. You're gonna stay in India. What did you do? Because was hard, you know, you had to go back. The president, all that good stuff. So anyway, there was, you know, there was like a very intimate vision of the power of the living of the those leaving the holy dam. Particularly the beautiful Kaupataro trees. So just go out there, find the tree and you know what to do.
Hare Krishna. And now also we would like to hear a Sannyasi who is coming. I don't know. For so many years on safari to different corners of India. His Holiness Bhakti Narasimhaswami from South Africa. To place. Tell us few words are Krishna Madas. Anything you want to say?
Hare Krishna. Safari.
K.
Actually the word safari comes from East Africa. Safari means to move from one place to the under. Like in Kisahir you say Habari. Yeah, safari. How is your traveling? And then another person say safari. Ikosawa Eko Missouri. Which means safari is good. It's going on very well. So this safari is going on very well. And we of course. But I think these things are more likely. Safari.
Is another.
I thought so. Part of my life. I did Amazon where we jump from one channel to another, boys. For two, three weeks.
Thank you. Thank you so much. So you see, we have a special surprises tonight for you. Special ones tonight. Devotees from Malaysia, they have prepared a special drama for the pleasure of all of you. So I think you will all enjoy this drama. Okay? We want to announce very soon. We're trying to finish our program by 8:45. Okay? So after we have another dance. You cannot miss this dance. This is, you know, the very special something you will feel, you know, transport to the spiritual world. This is a surprise also. Now we will not announce fully now. Okay. The program. So now. No, no, it's okay. What's happening? No, no. Yes, yes, yes. No, please sit down, sit down. We're not finished. We. Oh yes. You are from the drama. Okay, okay, okay. Please. The ones in the drama, you can go. Okay? Because only one or two people. Okay? The rest you stay here. No, because we're going to remain here for another five minutes or ten. No, no, you stay here. Here. Please sit down, sit down, sit down. Bosun, please. Bosun. Okay. You know His Holiness Jayapataka, Swami Maharash in the Ganga safari? No, this is. We call the South India safari. That was the Ganga safari. We traveled for 20 days along the Ganges River. We are sleeping on the boats. Can you imagine His Holiness Jayapatta Goswami also sleeping in the boats every day for 20 days. We have four boats that we join in the boats every day for Mongol Arctic, for Sandy Arctic. One boat was a kitchen. Cooking on the boat, moving boat. And we have another, you know, both for Matajis, another for Grijastas, another for Dramacharis. Was a really fantastic trip. Very, very nice. And one time I remember his wake up and he composed a song from his heart. It's a far song. Okay, Today everybody knows English here. If you don't know English, you will learn today. Okay? It's only four lines. It's very simple. But the condition we're going to chant, but you have to repeat loud, okay? If it's not loud, we're not going to continue. Okay? You please repeat the song that was composed by His Holiness Jayapata Goswami after me. Going on safari for another day. Chanting Hare Krishna all the way. Singing, dancing, staging a play. Spreading God as glories wherever we stay. Okay, that was just a practice. No, now it's coming. Okay, now you please clap, okay. And repeat loud. No, it was really like a very weak. One more time. Okay. Remember our Guru Maharas, His Holiness Jayapata Goswami is watching. This is a live broadcast. So Guru Madhas, this is for you. We're going to sing loud this time. Everyone going on safari for another day. Good, good. Chanting Hare Krishna all the way. Singing, dancing, staging a play. Spreading God's glories wherever we stay. Thank you very much. And now I would like to request His Holiness Bhakti Viknavinarasimhaswamy Maharash to say a few words. You see, this effort is very special. Why is it special? Because you know, we coming to South India. Why? Because Lord Chaitanya Mahaprabhu came to South India. Something you know, this is. This affair is related to Lord Chaitanya Mahaprabhu's Leela's coming to Saudi India. Maybe Maharaj can be kind and because so many devotees are watching from all around the world. This program, there are thousands of people watching. Maybe Maharaj can explain little bit the importance of this pilgrimage to South India.
Hare Krishna. I've been coming to Tirupati quite a long time now. I first came here, it was 1976. I came at that time. There was no ISKCON Centre here. I was a member of the BBT Library Party and I was traveling with Mahavishnu, who is Mahavishnu Swami now, and the two of us, we had a matador van and we were traveling around South India where ISKCON was unknown. The only center in South India at that time was Hyderabad. Anyway, we came here in Tirupati and we went to the ttd, the Tiru Malla, Tirupati Devasthanam. And they were very hospitable. They received us very nicely. Actually, Rla Prabhupda came here, I think three times to Tirupati. And Rla Prabhupda told us, he said, you have to learn how to manage from them. He said their management is very good. He liked very much how they managed everything. So it's very nice to see how our centre has developed. Of course, ttd, they gave some land to us here in the beginning. And Rivati Rahman Prabhua, under his leadership, they've developed such a wonderful centre. It's interesting to see so many others have also come here, like across the road, you know, it's once Ramakrishna Mission and next door down the road is the. What is it? Brahma Kumaris? Yeah, like that. So they're all here, you know, all the different. But we were here first. We were the first ones to come here and preach in Torah because the TTD invited us. They gave us life. So Marici wanted me to speak about why Caitanya Mahprabhu came South India. Chaitanya Charitamrita describes that you go where the ground is the most fertile, where you can get the best preaching field. Just like Rla Prabhupda was so anxious to go to the west because he knew it was untouched. Practically it was untouched. Nobody had been there before, nobody had done anything. It was wide open for him to go there and do something. Similarly, Chaitanya Mahaprabhu came to South India after coming to Jagannath Puri. You know, in the pretext of saying he was going to look for his older brother Vishwaroo, he came wandering down. But Israel purpose was to distribute the Holy Name everywhere. He knew the people of South India were very open to receive the Holy Name. It was not something foreign to them. And he was happy to come and wander through the villages in South India and distribute the Holy Name. So Srila Prabhupada also, he wanted the preaching to go on all over India. Prabhupada himself came. I said he came a few times here in Tirupati. When he came, the TTD arranged lecture For Prabhupada, it was up the hill. Usually some sadhu would come. They'd give a lecture up the hill. They had some big hall and you could gather all the pilgrims. Because there was a big. There's a big, like dharamshala or place where people can stay up on the hill. Just like when I came here with Ma vi Swami, they gave us a place. They gave us the cottage up the hill. They said, come and stay for a few days. And they gave us a cottage up on top of the hill at Tirumala. And they gave us prasadam. Every day they sent us a prasadam from the deities. They really took care of us so nicely. So Prabhupada told us also. He said, you have to learn from them how to do everything. They do it very nicely. So coming here, we're seeing also how the devotees, Titi, our ISKCON devotees, are taking care. I've been very grateful. Although my health this time is not very good. The devotees are helping me very much, taking care of me, giving nice prasadam and arrange some medicine for me also. So I'm very grateful for their love and care. It's really very nice. This is the mood. This is the mood which we learned from TTD that they have that mood. They're caring. They have a lot of care programs. They have colleges, they have hospitals, medical centers. They do a lot of welfare services for the community. Of course, we want to emphasize on the preaching. And RLA Prabhupada emphasized that especially that we should give the emphasis on the preaching, the distribution of the holy name. And we try to do that here at our ISKCON center. The devotees go out every day to the different areas around Tirupati and Tirumala. And they have their book tables and they're every day distributing books and many different languages. Next time I come here, I want to bring you some of our books from Thailand. Because you may get people coming from Thailand here. And we have the Bhagavad Gita published in Thai. So it would be nice. You can have it here. If somebody comes, you could distribute to them. So RLA Prabhupada wanted us print books in all the different languages, just like here in India. The books are there in Tamil, in Telugu and Malayalam and Kannada. All the different languages they have to print in. So when they have a book table here in Tirupati, you have to be fluent in all the different languages. Because so many people coming from all the different parts of the world. And it's an opportunity to preach to the whole world. Number one tourist spot in India, Tirupati. More people visit Tirupati than any other place in India. It's the number one tourist spot. So such an important place for us to be here and to be preaching Hare Krishna.
Thank you very much His Holiness Bhaktivikna Bhinah Narasimhaswamy. And before we come down off the stage and prepare for the drama, we like just to request to come just for a minute to His Grace Rebati Rahman Prabhu. No. So I know. Actually first of all, all I want to thank His Grace Devas Vidamam Prabhu for taking such a nice care of all the safari devotees. So second, you see here we have this occasion of three footprint installation of Ro Chaitanya and Tirupati which is a very historical event. So we want to, you know, express our gratitude for making us part of this event to our Guru Maharaj, to all the sannyasis and especially also to His Grace Revati Raman Prabhu. You know when the day that we installed the footprints in Tirupati in his temple personally by him together with all the spiritual master on the presence of His Holiness Jayapataka Swami also and all the. All the sannyasis devoted from around the world on that day. That was yesterday. No? Or before yesterday? Yesterday. Yesterday was happening on this moment. On that yesterday something special happened that it was His Grace Ravati Rahman Prabhu on yesterday has been approved as to be an initiating spiritual master. So His Holiness Bhakti Vigna Veenand will garland him. Congratulations. His Grace Revati Rahman Prabhu is a very, very sincere devotee who is doing so much service and dedicated his entire life for ISKCON for preaching. Now he has more responsibilities. Probably he will be traveling also around the world with different responsibilities. He's a servant, a very good servant of Guru Maharaj. I know he likes him very much. And now he has so much trust he giving extra responsibility. I know he's already very busy but I request everyone to please shower his blessings, your blessings into him for this new services for Srila Prabhupada, his Guru and from ISKCON Hare Krishna. What is next? Now we've wonderful your blessings. So now we we take our seats. Yes.
I just want to make a little comment in here. Revati Nandana, Revati Ramana Prabhuj. He told me that 60% of this temple was.
