There's always a fight going on in our consciousness between the different modes depending on our nature. On our previous karmas, on our purification, certain modes went out. Some people, they are just fixed in the mode of ignorance. Some are fixed in passion. Some are fixed in amazing. Some are very much into goodness. For spiritual life, it's better to be of goodness than passionate. From goodness, you want to have the Sudha Sattva, pure goodness. So how these things leave the heart, we want to pull it out from our heart. It's very difficult. So we cleanse it by performing this devotional service. Devotional service makes us happy.
