The Purusha, the original person, Bhagavan Vishnu can be understood only by devotional service. Only by devotional service can one understand the supreme person who is behind everything. One must try to understand that the material elements are the separated inferior energy of the Lord. And the living entity is the Lord's superior energy. Whatever we experience, including matter and the spirit soul, living force is but a combination of two energies of Lord Vishnu. The inferior energy and the superior energy. One should therefore seriously study the facts concerning creation, maintenance and devastation as well as a permanent place from which one never need return. Human society should study this. But instead of cultivating such knowledge, people are attracted to to temporary happiness and sense gratification culminating in bottomless, topless passion. There is no profit in such activities. One must engage himself in the Ka consciousness movement. If someone is just engaging in their fruitive activity, their sense gratification and their pass through life, they never understand the position of the supreme personality in Gandhi. What is the use of all their efforts as a human being? We are meant to understand the Supreme Lord. But so many people are going through life that they don't understand. They don't have a clue. What is God? Who is God? What is the nature of God? Where does he live? Why do we come here? Where do we head after we die? What are the laws of material nature? So many basic things people are not aware of. They may be doing so many experiments but they don't realize the presence of the Supreme Lord. Then what will be the value of their research? Modern scientists have a theory called the Big Bang. Move up a little bit. And the idea is that at some point in time there was a Big bang, big explosion on the other rings and that created everything. Such a big explosion that through its heat and light, somehow miraculously life was created. They have never proved this. Neither in a laboratory can they produce life trying to reproduce that type of energy burst. But they have this theory that everything came from a big explosion. So Srila Brahman was asking, so who had set off the explosion? Who made the bomb? Because before that there was nothing. So how do you have explosions and everything and there's nothing, no life? Actually there is a chain reaction of events. What happens when the sound vibration enters into the universe and starts the creation? They have the first thing to start everything and the gross level is the sound. Some famous exhibitions, they keep showing this theory. In the beginning there was nothing and there was a big bang. And then from the bang in the primordial soup there was life. And then from this life, evolution game. And gradually from evolution, eventually Satish came and all of us. But there's no. There's so many missing links, there's no evidence.
