His Holiness Jayapataka Swami explains that the Lord accepts food offerings based on the devotee's purity and sincerity, not material wealth or status. A simple offering from a pure heart pleases the Lord far more than an elaborate one from someone without devotion.

The Lord desires for Sodom from the person who always rushes him with unflinching devotion. That's why he always is looking for that Persona. That photo he shows the heart. The pure devotee's offering is very much appreciated by the Lord. He'd rather eat. He's healthy to eat the simplest offerings of the pure devotee. But he doesn't accept offerings. How much obvious from non devotees. So we shouldn't say that the Lord will accept only the all things of the rich people. He accepts the offerings from his pure devotees. He may be rich and he may be poor. What he cares about is the devotion. So we want to express our love to the Lord and He appreciates that love.
