Jayapataka Swami explains that Lord Balarama is Krishna's primary spiritual expansion, the first extension of the divine personality. He lists related expansions like Sankarshan and Ananta Sesha, and describes Balarama's role as Krishna's elder brother and protector, also incarnating as Lakshmana in the Ramlila.
Mother Rama is Satsang Bhagsh. He is the first extension of Lord Krishna. Ka is the original personality of God. And he is the original extension, also the original guru as he is person to the serving Lord Ka on him all the other avatars. So Ananta Sesha does all the services for the Lord. He has a large shoes, a large clothes, a large umbrella. Everything that the Lord uses is dead. Everything is extension of an understation. So nothing about Ka is material. It's all spiritual. And so Ka extends as Balaram and then Chakrabhuha, Raj, Sankharshan, Pradhana and Anurudha. So Sankharshan is the Sanjana of Mahasudeva, Stanton of Krishna. So actually Balaram, he is always with Krishna in his various pastimes. In Ramlila he comes as Lakshman and Lord Chaitanya Leela te Krishnachaytana, Radhakishtanah, Anya Lalaram, Haylo, Nidaya. So in Krishna Leela he comes as the elder brother. So as the elder brother he protects the younger brother and the Raj, Yatra and Puri. Valorant goes first, then Sidhwan and then Krishna. Because Valorant and big brother, he's protecting his younger brother. Both brothers are protecting their sister Siddhartha. That's a system, father. And Shalom, that.
