A short lecture by Jaya Pataka Swami discussing Lord Chaitanya’s approach to showing mercy while upholding the teaching that sannyasis should not associate with materialists or kings. The speaker recounts episodes where Lord Chaitanya, appearing as an ordinary Vaishnava, embraced and showed mercy to visitors including King Prataparudra, illustrating tension between exemplar conduct and compassionate action.
The Sikh mother teach the sannyasis should not associate with materialists or kings. You see, because he wants to teach the sannyasis that they should not associate with the and sonic politicians. Chaitanya was resting the whole martyrs. Lord Chaitanya was resting in the garden. He came first of the ordinary Vaishnava. He came dressed as ordinary Vaishnava. You feel up. You feel up. Why du? Why Dauthi and la like that? And then he came in and taking everyone's permission. Then he came in, taking everyone's permission. He started to massage Lord Chaitanya's. The state of his sacred mercies. He started to massage Lord Chaitanya's lotus feet and recited verses. One Shikara said also I don't know who you are. I don't know who you are. You have the nectar of the one verses. But you have given me the nectar of Bhagavatam verses. Radhiopus. It meets Krishna. I thank God that the Gobi Gita. I think that the Gobi Gita. But anyway Lord Chaitanya embraced him. That's why somehow Lord Chaitanya maintained the yellow. So in this way somehow Lord Chaitanya he maintained the example. I'm not associated with not associating with kings. But he also gave mercy to Gurdava. But he also gave the mercy to Pratap Rudra. He says don't recognize him as other. Just say with a world crown. Since nobody recognized him because everyone used to see crowns. And he came as a Vaishnava. Once he turned out and make so Lord Chaitanya embrace him. What can be the greatest mercy? To be embraced by the Lord. To be embraced by the Lord. So he did get the mercy. But Lord Chaitanya wanted to maintain the example.
