Hey there, welcome back to the prompt. Jim Carter here and today I want to break down Generative AI for you all, and not just the buzzword version you might have heard. I want to get into Genai's real life application and how it's changing how we work and create. Let's start with the basics. Generative AI is like having a creative partner who's read every book, seen every image and heard every song. It's learned from billions of examples to create new content. Whether that's text, images, music, code, you. You name it, and it can do it whenever you need it to. Here's the simple truth. Generative AI has grown from a cool party trick into a core business tool that creates faster than ever before. Take GPT4 and stable diffusion 3 for example. These models can now create professional level content faster than I can make my morning coffee. And the setup it's gotten so simple. Vision Transformers can read images as easily as you're reading this episode Description no complex prep work needed, but it's not just for content creation. Generative AI is being used in healthcare to design new medicines in hours instead of years. In fact, the global Generative AI market is projected to grow at a CAGR of 34.2% from 2023 to 2030, with key sectors including healthcare, retail, automotive and finance driving this expansion. Microsoft alone leads the Generative AI foundational model market with a 39% share in 2024 by integrating OpenAI models into Azure AI services. So what does this mean for you and me? Well, every dollar you used to spend on manual design or data preparation can now go somewhere else. Maybe it's time to finally update that website from 2014. And answers come faster too. You can test ideas with synthetic data instead of waiting weeks for real information. Imagine how that could change your next product launch. What I find most exciting is that these AI models work across different types of content. Your next sales presentation could have custom music that perfectly matches your message, and your ideas can automatically be put into your project management tools. Everything connects. Let me give you a few real world examples to bring this home. Let's say you're a small business owner. You're juggling marketing, customer service, admin, and trying to grow the business. Generative AI can help you write newsletters, brainstorm new offers, even generate visuals or ad copy on the fly. I I've seen founders go from blank page to polished campaign in an afternoon without hiring a whole creative team. It's not about cutting corners, it's about reclaiming your time or Maybe you're a content creator. You can use AI to summarize long videos into short clips, generate scripts for your next episode, or turn one blog post into 10 social media ideas with tone adjustments for each platform. These aren't hypotheticals I'm watching. Creators use tools like Descript and ChatGPT daily to streamline their workflows and spend more time in their creative zone. And if you're on the data side, tools like Claude and Gemini are helping analysts surface trends faster by generating insights from unstructured data. Instead of staring at spreadsheets for hours, you can ask a natural language question and get a clean visual or summary in seconds. The ROI here isn't just time. It's clarity. It's speed. It's confidence in your next move. Here's the thing. You really don't have to be technical to use generative AI. You just need to be curious. The people who are getting ahead are aren't necessarily the most advanced users. They're the ones asking better questions, testing ideas and iterating in public. I know this is a lot to take in, but if you're curious to learn more, I've got a special invite for you. Come join me and a bunch of other AI enthusiasts over at my Slack community. It's a space for those who care and want to do something with AI. We cut through the noise, share what works, and shape what's next. You can join at the link in the show Notes. I want to give you a prompt I recently shared with the builders in the community that you can try for fun and reflection. Here it is. Take everything you know about me and create an image out of it that makes me visualize deeply something about myself you don't think I can see. Then explain what you created for me. Type this into ChatGPT and let me know what you think of the results before we close. I just want to leave you with one thing to think about. Generative AI isn't about replacing your creative spark. It's about giving it more space to breathe. Let it take care of the repetitive, time consuming stuff so you can focus on what really lights you up. So instead of asking should I be using AI, maybe ask what could I create if I wasn't stuck doing the busy work. Thanks so much for tuning in. I'll see you next time. Until then, keep experimenting, keep sharing, and most importantly, keep thinking bigger about what's possible.
