Google overhauled its core products with AI features: search now generates answers directly, video creation tools are built in, and Workspace apps got AI assistants. The company is betting everything on AI to stay relevant as the internet fundamentally changes.
Hey everyone, and welcome back to the prompt. I've been working behind the scenes to take my community to the next level and make sure this is your go to space for staying ahead of the curve when it comes to AI and emerging tech. I'll share more details later on in the episode, but to start, we're unpacking the biggest shift Google's made in, well, maybe ever. At IO 2025, Google didn't just launch a new product, they redefined how we use the Internet. Let's start with AI mode. This isn't search as you know it. No more links, no more 10 tab chaos. You ask a question, even something complex and messy, and you get an answer. Real answers like full trip itineraries, research briefs, competitive analysis, even ready to send emails. It's what search should have been all along. And now it's powered by something you can talk to. And it doesn't stop there. Gemini Live, which used to cost $20 a month, is now completely free. It speaks 48 languages, keeps context and and lives inside Chrome Gmail Docs slides everywhere you work. You can brainstorm, plan, troubleshoot, or ask it to explain particle physics using pizza toppings, but the real headline is how Google's VO3 and Flow video tools have made pro grade video creation accessible to everyone. This combo gives you pro level video creation from a simple text prompt you type Create a Wes Anderson style TikTok about quantum computing and out comes a full video with soundtrack, narration and camera movements ready to post. It's like Final Cut Pro and ChatGPT had a baby and it actually knows how to direct. There's also a premium plan that unlocks the full power of these tools. We're talking 4K videos, 10 minute clips, massive document analysis and commercial grade visuals. But if you're a creative agency, content team or educator producing at scale, it might just be worth every penny. And get this Chrome basically has an AI research assistant baked in. Now you're reading something confusing. Just highlight it and boom, it explains it. Need a quick summary of a long article? Done. It even breaks stuff down into bullet points if you're skimming. It just makes the web easier to deal with. Workspace AI also got a serious upgrade. Gmail now responds in your voice sheets, predicts your trends, docs, understands your tone, and with Google vids you can create explainer videos and onboarding content using AI avatars. No studio time needed. Then there's Gemini deepthink, a new reasoning mode that slows things down to actually show its work for developers, analysts and Students. This thing is like having an AI professor walking you through the logic step by step. And if you care about speed, Gemini Diffusion is in the works. A new model that writes five times faster than anything we've seen. Think live, customer support, real time content, instant analysis, all without breaking a sweat. I know, I know, that's a lot to take in. But here's the bottom line. Google didn't just update its tools. It rebuilt its entire stack around AI. Free where it counts, premium where it matters. And built to meet you wherever you are, whether you're a student, a startup or a studio. This isn't experimental anymore. This is real world. Ready? I think what hits me most about all of this is how quickly the line between personal and professional tools is disappearing. This isn't just for developers or tech nerds. This is. This is stuff that's going to change. How you write emails, plan your week, run your business, teach your kids, all of it. It's not some future scenario, it's right now. And the way we choose to engage with it, learn from it and use it with intention. That's what's going to separate the people who feel overwhelmed from the ones who actually shape what's next. Now, I know a lot of you listening are creators, entrepreneurs and builders. So if you're looking for a community where you're not just watching the AI shift happen, but building with it, I want to invite you into something new I've been working on. It's called Control Alternate Build and it's a curated space for innovators who want to stay ahead, test new tools, share experiments, and connect with others who are navigating the same changes. If that sounds like your kind of thing, use the link in the show notes and get in before doors close. Alright, that's it for today. Google just hit the reset button on Digital Life and we get to play with what's next. Thanks for tuning in. I'll catch you on the next episode of the Prompt SA.
