Hey folks, it's Ben Greenfield here. You know, you may remember a couple.
Weeks ago I did a two week.
Java judgment in which I compared two healthy alternatives to caffeine or to coffee. Now, the first thing that I tried was this stuff.
It's a dropper bottle and you put a few drops of this into a.
Cup of hot water and it makes coffee. It's also got some black tea extract in there to act as an antioxidant. This stuff's called super coffee.
The other thing that I tried was Teeccino, which is basically a bag full.
Of herbs and spices and dried fruits and nuts.
You add this to a cup of.
Hot water and supposedly that makes something that tastes kind of like a cup of coffee as well.
So what are the results of my two week Java judgment?
Well, here's the deal.
When I was growing up, my dad.
Was a gourmet coffee roaster. I had some of the best coffee on the planet.
And frankly, I found that you simply cannot replace a nice dark cup of joe.
However, here's what I found. This stuff, the super coffee, this works really well when you're traveling and when.
You just want to have a cup of coffee and all you have is.
Access to say, like hot water.
So camping, airplane travel, car trips, this stuff works pretty well.
I like that it's got antioxidants in it. I also like that there's a caffeine free version.
So ultimately the super coffee I think tastes like a weak cup of coffee.
But it's got that portability aspect that I like.
Now, the Teeccino, this lets you have something that actually tastes pretty close to.
A cup of coffee. I thought it was going to taste.
More like tea, but it actually does.
Taste more like coffee. But you don't have that guilt factor that goes with drinking something acidic, drinking something that's overstimulating your central nervous system and still getting that taste of something.
Kind of tannic, something kind of bitter.
Something that goes well with say like breakfast or an afternoon sipper. So that's what this stuff is good for.
So ultimately I'm going to keep using both of them, but I can't say.
I'm going to stop drinking my nice dark cup of coffee in the morning.
Now, if you want to get either of these, I'll make sure to put.
A link to the video or with the video to pacificfit.net where you can get these.
I'd recommend you have them around, try them out. It's worth giving a shot to.
If you have something like adrenal fatigue, if you have heartburn or an acidic reaction when you have coffee, or if you just want something as an alternative to coffee, then these would be worth looking into.
I'll also put a link underneath this video over@BenGreenfieldFitness.com to a bunch of articles on why you may even want to.
Be considering healthy alternatives to coffee. So check all that out. And until next time, this is Ben Greenfield signing out.
