A short, informal YouTube video by Ben Greenfield documenting his pre-Ironman Canada morning. He describes waking up late, drinking large "bulletproof coffee" (MCT oil), joking and bantering, packing race gear (dry socks, gadgets, credit card, anti-gas pills), preparing special-needs bags (flask, water bottle), noting improved sleep from supplements, and heading by bus toward transition. The tone is conversational and humorous, focused on practical race-day prep rather than race performance.

Alright, I didn't wake up early enough. But here is the aftermath of the pre Ironman race.
Bulletproof coffee. And the incoherent mumblings have begun.
See? Are we. Is this Iron Man? Did it start? Yep. You're winning. You're winning. Is anybody back there? Oh no. Not for months. So my first shout out of the day.
Goes to Dave Asprey. Earmuffs kids. But holy shit dude. Two huge servings of bulletproof coffee with your MCT oil and I am more alert and awake than I've been in the Iron man trust crap. When I'm done. Screw the whole sweet potato with honey thing.
That's my go to meal going forward is my 32 ounce bug of bulletproof.
So kudos to that. And yeah, that's about the only real thing I've done this morning other than poops. So kudos to the toilet too.
Oh, this video is going to make everybody barf. That's right.
Non toxic marker. Of course.
67.
I'm kidding. I'm not 67. How old are you? 331. Are you actually going to ride 67? I was going to write whatever you say. It's too early in the morning for those kind of jokes. Ben. Don't confuse the volunteers. Sorry. I'm throwing some dry socks in my ride bike just in case it rains. I'm not throwing the bike.
Just the little things that can come back to bite you. Dry socks. Close up to the dry socks. Teddy bear on a cold night sometimes.
So I'm about to turn my special needs bags. They're chock full of tons of stuff. A flask in one.
And a half water bottle in the other.
There we go buddy. Tear it up. Have fun. See you out there. So I think that thanks to Millennium Sports Somnidrin GH on it. Himalayan sea salt and the passion flower extract that I bought off of it. Amazon.com this is the first Ironman I'll have raced where I think I've gotten about 30 hours of sleep the past three nights. So.
It'S a nice feeling to know I won't be yawning at mile 90 of the bike.
Making sure I have all my gadgets. Super good.
Dinos.
Dumb.
My credit card.
Everything you need for. For an intense athletic competition.
Anti gas pills.
Actually can't borrow some of those. No, I will need them all.
Off the bus heading to transition. I don't. I actually don't know where we're at. It's a forest. I hear voices. So I think we're heading in the right direction. I see motorcycles.
