I don't like to work out with food in my stomach, but I do like to do like a little bit of pre workout fuel. I don't do like, it depends. Like, sometimes I've got a really hard workout. I'll take a traditional like full on pre workout, you know, like the man in the can stuff. But my protocol is pretty simple. I like to do a couple scoops of amino acids. This is like 10 grams of amino acids. And these help you to like maintain muscle even if you work out in a fasted state. You got a lot of the cool benefits as well. And then ketones are a hot topic that everybody talks about. Now these are called.
Ketone esters. They're drinkable. They kind of taste like ass. But one bottle of this is 12 servings.
I drink half a bottle.
Ketone monoesters actually don't taste as bad. But ketone diasters, those are the ones like that DARPA uses. And like the Tour de France cyclists, they will keep you going for sure. Because you know, by the time I'll finish my workout.
You know, it'll have been like.
14, 15, sometimes 16 hours since I've eaten last. So I do like a little bit of something in my system. So I do the aminos and the ketones and then I usually have my meal after workout. There's one exception that rule I'm traveling like.
Internationally. Food is a really good way to jumpstart your circadian rhythm. So if I'm like, I'm going over to London to speak in a couple weeks, I'll have breakfast before my workout when I'm over there. Because fasting when you travel internationally means your circadian rhythm just takes a longer time to kind of keep up and when to do time zone. So I don't do fasted workouts when I travel international. Chili. Most of the rest of the time I do fast workouts.
