Transcript excerpt from a YouTube interview in which Dr. John Lieurance discusses the therapeutic properties of methylene blue (neuroprotective, antimicrobial, mitochondrial enhancement) and recounts his own severe injury that led to rhabdomyolysis, kidney failure requiring dialysis, and a projected hip amputation.

When you look at the research with, with methylene blue, it's just incredible. I mean, everything from neuroprotection to it's got antimicrobial effects. It enhances the mitochondria in a way that no other molecule has been shown, where it's like all four of the complexes within the mitochondria are increased on an average, about 30%. How close did you get to anything like amputation or life threatening sepsis or anything like that? Because, I mean, from the photos I saw, it was, it was a significant injury. Well, I had kidney failure, so that I went on dialysis, and they were telling me that I would probably be on dialysis for the rest of my life. They also were telling me I'd need to have my leg amputated at the hip because I had a lot of damage, what's called rhabdomyolysis, which is death of muscle throughout my whole hip and leg.
