This is KHQ local news today. It is 5:41. And coming up after the break, we're going to be talking to Ben Greenfield about ways that you can get back into shape regardless of your body style. He'll explain in just a sec. KHQ MD this morning. Well, we're very happy to have in house this morning Ben Greenfield. Adorable book. It says quick and dirty tips, Get Fit Guys guide to achieving your ideal body. And you're very involved in Ironman, obviously in Coeur d' Alene, but also in Japan soon. In Japan soon. Yeah. Ironman triathlon is something I've been coaching and participating in for the past few years. And yeah, usually I'm here in Coeur d', Alene, but this weekend I'll be headed over to Asia to race instead. So let's talk a little bit about what you do because you, you deal with people of all different body types, both men and women. So go ahead and tell us a little bit about it. Well, the, the main idea and the, the reason that, that I wrote my book, the Get Fit Guys Guide, is that people fall into different body types. And so the workout program that works for one person isn't going to work for another. And so what I do is one, figure out which body type they are and then program their exercise and their meal plans accordingly. A lot of people can fall into a rut. They can. Yes. There are many reasons that people don't lose weight. I get into them in the book. But yeah, it's very, very easy to fall into a rut. So for those people that maybe are thinking about training, maybe not for Ironman to that extent, but what are some words of encouragement that you would give somebody who said I've tried everything to lose weight and it's just not happening? Well, you brought up Ironman. And while you don't have to sign up for Ironman, one of the big that I see is simply motivation. Mental. Yeah. Consistency is key and if you fall off the bandwagon, it's so, so hard to get back on. Sign up for a 5K, a fitness competition at your gym, a cycling event. There's so many things around here, especially in Spokane, that you can get into that having something on the calendar is super helpful. Well, good luck and let us know how you do in Japan. Okay, sir. That's awesome. All right, we are on the sixes. Time to check in with Dave La and he's talking thunderstorms.
