A short instructional video in which Ben Greenfield (Pear Sports) demonstrates the squat to overhead press. He recommends using dumbbells for greater shoulder rotation, describes foot placement (hip-width), squatting mechanics (push the butt back, weight on heels), and pressing overhead as you stand, repeating the movement cyclically.

Hi, I'm Ben Greenfield with Pear Sports, which is a way to get live biofeedback during your workout One of the exercises that you're going to encounter during your para sports workout is called a squat to overhead press. I want to show you how to do that exercise today. Preferably use dumbbells for this exercise. They'll give you a little bit more freedom of rotation in your shoulder compared to, say, a barbell. Take the dumbbells at your shoulder, holding them just like this, and then make sure that your feet are about hip width apart from this position. All you'll do is sit down, pushing your butt out behind you and keeping your weight on your heels like so. And as you stand out of that squat, you press overhead and then as your arms come down, you drop back into the next squat. So that's called the squat to overhead press, and it's just one of many of the exercises that you're going to encounter during your pair workout.
