Hello, everyone. Cheerio. It's Ben Greenfield. I'm speaking with my English accent because when I'm talking about food, it makes me sound more intelligent when I do that. And what I'm going to show you today is how to shop healthy when you're stuck in freaking Las Vegas, which is basically a grocery store oasis that allows you to spend 50 to $60 on a small meal of crackers and vegetables. So I go to the grocery store.
When I'm in Vegas.
Now, when you are in a big.
City that has crappy grocery stores, there are still some things that you can get that will allow you to eat healthy during the week. I'll be here for about six days, so let me show you what we have. Okay, I've got two plantains. Plantains, fantastic for frying in olive oil. Good clean carbohydrate. We've got carrots, organic, because carrots are one of those vegetables to purchase organic. We've got two organic cucumbers. We have a bit of coffee. Extra virgin olive oil and salt will make any crappy food taste good. We have a little bit of earthbound organic spring mix. For salads, we have coconut milk. Crappy stores in Vegas do not have BPA free coconut milk, but at least we've got the unsweetened, full fat stuff. Organic tomatoes ripened on the vine. Sorry about the crappy video work. I'm using selfie mode. Lemons, Lemons as a digestif are fantastic. And of course, four bottles of glass bottled Pellegrino so that you're not drinking out of plastic bananas. Of course, for Those workout needs, one bar of Dark Chocolat, 90% some Zevia, ginger root beer. Zevia, my vice. A handful, or what we might call a crapola of avocados, pitted prunes for, you know, keeping things flowing. Four cans of sardines, a bag of premium grain rice. No almond butter. So the next best thing, peanut butter. Make sure you check for no palm oil and no sugar. Do you like my goggle marks, by the way? Good swim this morning. And that's it. So that is approximately $70 worth of food, the equivalent of two meals at any casino. And it will instead feed me for the entire week. And that is how you shop healthy in Vegas. Cheeri.
