O E ah oh oh E ah oh ah. Hey, it's Ben. And I'm doing one of my favorite activities right now, and that is humping my trusty foam roller. And you would be surprised at how much you can improve your life and decrease your risk of injury with something as simple as a foam roller and a tiny little lacrosse ball. Today I'm going to teach you how to do that. This is my chapter on mobility in the book Beyond Training. And this is the book that I'm riding for you. The reason I'm riding it, in case you didn't know, is because this whole endurance sports thing, triathlon, marathon, CrossFit, cycling, swimming, running, all of it, it can be unhealthy. As you saw last week in my blog post. You can be healthy on the outside, but but sick on the inside, or you can be healthy on the outside and healthy on the inside, but you know, have a bunch of hip pain or move like an awkward freaking stork. So today I'm going to show you how to overcome all of that. And in this chapter, as well as in future chapters that I'm going to write for you, I'm going to include a video like this that kind of tells you why I'm writing, what I'm writing. Because I don't just choose these topics willy nilly like this. This is the stuff that really makes a difference in your life. Now we're almost done with the training part of this book and then we're going to move on to nutrition. We've got recovery. I'm going to be teaching you all about how to reinvent your house and your lifestyle. Just all these things that fly under the radar when it comes to training. We're really, really good at beating up our bodies, right? But what we're not good at is taking care of the stuff that kind of tends to fly under the radar. Because sometimes we don't know what to do and sometimes it can just be stuff that it doesn't seem like you should prioritize, but you really should. Like for me, every single Monday, I do a full on foam roller session and I teach myself at least a few new mobility drills. It's like my body reinvention day. It's where I go to the man spa of me and just take care of my body. So I'm going to show you a lot of that stuff now. In addition.
I want to let you know that you can help with this whole thing. Leave your comments with your questions below. Tell me the stuff that I forgot to write. Tell me the stuff that I was too stupid to remember to focus on in this chapter of the book, the unanswered questions. Because sometimes I'll sit there and I'm typing sitting on my couch or standing on my standing workstation, and I'm writing and writing. It's easy sometimes to think about the stuff that has helped me, but forget to focus on some of the things that maybe, I don't know, you have questions about. So the only way I'm going to know that is if you leave your comments and your questions and everything below. And remember, you're in this with me. We're in this together. The whole goal here is to teach you how to be healthy, how to master not just endurance and training and getting fit, but also your life and your health. I want all of us to be around playing with our grandkids, preferably without hip replacements, and just living life to the fullest, you know, in our old age, whether or not we've, you know, done an ironman or, you know, have amassed 580 CrossFit wads under our belt or whatever. You know, the idea here is that we're really, really mastering this whole combination, this whole. This whole paradox between life and performance. Right? I know I'm getting all Confucius on you. So that's what I have to say to you today. Leave your comments and your questions after you read the article below. And I hope you enjoy this chapter on mobility. And I'm going to get back to my foam rolling now.
