Hey, it's Ben Greenfield here in my kitchen in the morning and it is time to show you how to make the sexy thyme shake. So this shake is going to give your body everything that you need to increase your libido, increase your hormones, and even improve your fertility. Alright, check this out. So the first thing that you're going to start off with, we're going to put all the ingredients into this bowl. We've already got one Sexy time shake, already blended and ready to rumble. But for the sexy time shake, you're going to start off with spinach. Now, for you dudes out there, spinach has been shown to significantly reduce your risk of prostate cancer. Spinach also has a lot of really good vasodilating properties in it as well. It's also just easier to get your hands on than kale sometimes. So we've got spinach. The next thing that we're going to put in there is a potent nitric oxide releaser. Now, nitric oxide is one of the active components of Viagra, believe it or not. But you can also get a ton of nitric oxide from, you guessed it, arugula. So we're just going to put about a third as much arugula as we do spinach and into this smoothie. Alright, next thing we're going to drop in there is something that has been known to turn women on and that is the scent of an almond. This is something that kind of flies under the radar. A lot of people don't really realize this, but almonds, in addition to being a good source of healthy fats, also have a scent in them that's actually a libido enhancing scent. Crazy, huh? Okay, next thing we're going to put in there, I don't know if you know what this is, but this is a shelled. I'm sorry, it's not shelled, it's in the shell. Brazil nut. Now, Brazil nuts are big in selenium and in zinc. And what that means is that especially for you dudes out there, it's going to really help to improve testosterone. Ladies, you may not know this, but testosterone is actually really crucial for your sex drive as well. Now, shelled Brazil nuts, like the kind you buy at the grocery store, they tend to be moldy, they tend not to be all that great for you, but. So all I did was crack these with a nutcracker. And we're going to drop three. You don't need many with Brazil nuts. Three, four. That's all you need. Okay, the next thing is avocados and even though avocados are shaped like a familiar organ that we may actually associate with sexual activity, that's not why we're going to actually put them into this libido enhancing shake. The main reason we're going to drop the avocados in there is we're getting a little bit of the carotenoid content. Now, carotenoid is great for your eyes. So for those of you out there who don't want beer goggles or if you want to see your partner a little bit better in the bedroom, avocados keep you seeing things really well. Plus they make this thing creamy and delicious. Alright, next thing is a banana. We all know that bananas, because of their phallic shape are a libido enhancing fruit. No, I'm actually just kidding. We don't put any fruit in this thing. The reason being that when you spike your insulin levels, you also increase the levels of something called sex hormone binding globulin. And that binds testosterone and all these other hormones in your bloodstream so that they aren't as active. So I actually ditch the sugars. I don't put any sugar in my sexy time smoothie, but I do drop a little bit of vitamin E in there. Vitamin E is great for your blood vessels and, and it's really good at opening blood vessels up the same way that nitric oxide can. Now, like an organic flax oil is a great way to do this. So you just need a little bit of flax oil. Not too much, because flax oil can have some omega 6 fatty acids in it. We don't want to do a lot of that. But just a little squeeze of flax oil, it'll give it a little bit of texture too. Now, do you like the way that chocolate makes you feel good? The reason that chocolate makes you feel good is because it has all of these special chemicals in it that enhance serotonin in your brain. Now when you have enhanced serotonin in your brain, it can actually increase the quality of an orgasm, which is why chocolate is such a great thing to throw into a shake. Plus it tastes great. Now this is just a regular dark chocolate powder. This doesn't have all the milk and the soy and the sugar and all the stuff that like dark chocolate would have in it. But all you need in here is about, do you like how I actually measure stuff? I like about 2 teaspoons or so of chocolate. Okay, so we've got our chocolate in there. And then the last thing that I'll use for cholesterol which is a building block of hormones, hormones like testosterone, progesterone, all these sexy time hormones that we need. I use coconut milk for that. If you don't have coconut milk, you could also use coconut oil, and then just use some water that you mix in with the coconut oil and use that. But I like coconut milk better. I like the flavor that it gives me. So I dumped some coconut milk in here.
Just enough to get it to the texture that I want, and boom, we're ready to dump all this in the blender and make this sexy time smoothie. Enjoy.
