I Upgraded My Sleep—And It’s a Game Changer!

Ben Greenfield shows his new Samina sleep system and explains how its adaptive frame, natural latex mattress, and sheepswool topper work together. The 3% incline supposedly improves glymphatic drainage and cardiovascular metrics, while the materials reduce allergens and boost heart rate variability.

Welcome to my bedroom. My name is Ben Greenfield. I'm a biohacker, celebrity trainer, nutritionist, New York Times best selling author, and world renowned speaker. I'm on a constant quest to uncover powerful and practical health hacks to awaken, unlock, and unleash the full potential of the human body, mind and spirit.
A lot of you have been asking me about this new home build in Idaho, and we've dialed everything in the air, the light, the water, the electricity, everything that you take into consideration to just biohack your own blue zone. Right now I'm here in the slightly unfinished master bedroom. My wife would kill me if she knew I was making this video because she's got a bunch of boxes everywhere and crap laid out all over the place. Don't tell her you saw that. But the reason I'm shooting this video right now is because it seems like one of the most common questions I'm getting right now is what's the sleeping and environment? What's the sleep system? Let me show you. So this is the bed. This might look like just any old normal bed, but it's not. It's called a Samina S A M I N A. So this is pretty cool. Let me show you the layers because I wanted to go with the highest quality. This thing's been talked about in the health and biohacking world for like a decade. I've wanted one for a while. But let me. Let me show you what this looks like. So at the base is this. This is a slat frame, right? So this thing provides this springy, adaptable foundation. Unlike normal box springs, it moves with your body. You get optimized spinal alignment, you reduce pressure points, and you can adjust it for side sleeping, for back sleeping, for broad shoulders, you name it. And what's really cool is that as a part of this system, the entire bed, you might not be able to tell this, but it's at a 3% incline. And you can adjust the incline on the Samina system. And when you sleep on an incline, you get really good lymphatic drainage from the brain. It's technically glymphatic drainage. You get your cardiovascular and your blood pressure basically is more optimized while you're sleeping. You can look at the benefits of sleeping on incline, but it's just enough to where your body notices, but your brain doesn't freak out. So. But there's more. Whoa, wait, there's more. So this, this is a natural rubber mattress. Okay? So this contours to the body, but it's Totally breathable, super hypoallergenic and totally free of any chemicals. Right. So we have this natural rubber mattress layer and then on top of that is a topper. This is a virgin sheep's wool topper. You can't make this up. Literally the first shearing of the sheep. So this type of wool regulates your temperature, meaning I don't need any fancy electronic cooling system. I need nothing. That setup that's like got like wi fi and electricity. This just naturally cools my body, keeping me cool in the summer and keeping me warm in the winter. And it's naturally dust mite resistant. It's perfect for people with allergies. And then even though I don't have it on my bed, this is also cool. Samina makes what's called a locosana grounding pad that you can include with your bed. Now, all the flooring in my entire house is already grounded, so I didn't need this. But they have a grounding system that connects the earth's natural energy. So through the grounding plug in your home and that helps reduce nighttime stress. You absorb negative ions, you get all the anti inflammatory and relaxing benefits of the science of earthing. So all the materials used in this thing are 100% natural and organic, from the untreated wood to the latex to the wool. It's sustainable, it's eco conscious, so it's designed to last for decades. And it's good for you, but it's also good for the planet. So let's talk about the science. We've got the adaptive slat frame, so you got enhanced spinal alignment, you've got the breathable materials that prevent overheating so you don't get your sleep cycles disrupted. And it's great for circadian rhythmicity. The grounding pad, if you opt for that, that's included with the sleep system, that'll reduce electromagnetic stress even more and promote recovery. And what's more, sleeping on natural materials, there's a ton of science about this on the Semina website. Helps to regulate body temperature, reduces allergens, even lowers your heart rate and increases your heart rate variability during a night of rest. So if you're ready to transform your sleep and you want what I consider to be, I mean, it's like laying down on a plush teddy bear every night. My sleep scores have been in the 92 to 99 since I moved into my brand new home. With all the crap going on, I'm sleeping like a baby, which is incredible. So I'll include a link along with this video, which is BenGreenfieldLife.com SaminaSleep S A M I N A Use the code Ben, if you want a deep discount. This is the nicest bed I've ever owned. You guys got to check this thing out.
