A short YouTube transcript of Ben Greenfield describing his pre-podcast routine. Ben emphasizes he has been podcasting for 17 years, began recording on a treadmill about six years ago, values strict timeliness in his schedule, prefers recording while moving (which he says improves focus), and often records without headphones so audio is heard through speakers.

Alright, so it's time to record a podcast. This is probably my favorite part of the day because I get to talk to some super smart person or in this case, people who would normally like never give me the time of day.
Been doing this for 17 years. It's super fun.
So, as usual, I tend to live my entire day shaved down to the absolute second or minute when it comes to.
Timeliness.
So these guys are probably already on the call. About six years ago, I started recording podcasts.
On my treadmill so that they're different.
I love it because I get to move and I honestly feel like I focus better on the person I'm talking to. Okay, let's see. I'm not gonna use headphones.
Today just.
Because we want to be able to hear things through the speakers.
What's up guys? How's it going? Good. Let's see if I can make it so you can see me here. There we go. That was great. So thanks for doing this and I'm sure I'll be in touch. Am I gonna see other you guys in London?
