Short informal post-ride interview from the Kona 2009 video where Ben Greenfield talks with John and Bevin (IM Talk) after a ride to Waikoloa. The speakers discuss riding conditions (wind behind them on outbound, tougher return), drafting, and their views on racing — John and Bevin say they don’t currently want to race due to the sacrifices involved, though John quips about aiming to win next year.

So this is John and Bevin from IM Talk. Eating their healthy post ride meals. Yeah, hide those potato chips. We just got done riding out to Waikoloa and. Piece of cake, guys. Yeah, steady riding.
Yeah, we did.
The wind behind us, it was a bit of a piece of cake, but going back's got a bit of pain, isn't it?
Yeah. Are you kidding me? The wind was just behind us.
Maybe it's because you were behind everybody the whole time. You got a bit of work.
Yeah.
Miller was sitting at the back so maybe, maybe I was getting a bit of a draft happening. Maybe.
Yeah.
I'm not sure I totally believe it, but do.
You guys wish you were racing?
No, no, no, we don't actually.
I think what John and I were talking about yesterday and how we know.
The sacrifice it takes to get here. And so for us it's not really.
At this moment in.
Our life, it's probably not realistic. So if we want to come here, you want to kind of do it well. And so our thought will come, John won back, he's going to win it next year. Ain't John shaking him anyway?
