Hey, I'm Ben Greenfield, and in the most recent issue of Lava magazine, I wrote an article on timeless strength training and some quick workouts that you could do with minimal equipment anywhere. What I want to show you today is one of the workouts that I write about in that article with a suspension trainer. This is called a Most Fit Suspension trainer. I got this from pacificfit.net and I travel with this. I'm going to show you what you do with it. You can open a door, and you just put it in the door like so, and then close the door. Make sure the door is closed. Okay, so from here, you want to make sure it's even on both sides. So.
There we go. So from here, a few different exercises. The first is the push up. Super simple to do. I like it to do it on my knuckles for a little bit less stabilization, makes it a little bit trickier to do. But you simply get into position like so, and you do your push up.
And if you want to do this in a more controlled manner, you can do 1, 2, 3, 4, down, 1, 2, 3, 4,. And changing the tempo can cause you to use a little bit more of those stabilizing muscles. Next is the row.
I simply walk it back like this.
Lean back and do my pulls like so, squeezing my shoulder blades back as I pull. And again, I can do this super slow or I can do it a little bit more explosively. Next exercise, we turn around and we use some of the pushers again with the triceps extension. Start starting here.
And simply extending up.
And back and up like so. Next exercise is the knee ups. So I go back into my pushup position.
And for this exercise, I simply drive my knees up to my elbows and back. Really great abdominal exercise. Okay, so two more exercises in this workout sequence. I'm just going to stay in position right here because the next exercise is a single leg squat. I hop forward, put my hands out for balance, and simply dip down and up. That's a single leg squat using a suspension trainer. And then the last exercise is a corkscrew. This is kind of a cool exercise. You actually grab both handles in one hand like so. You extend one arm and you simply pull yourself in and rotate back out and pull and rotate. Now, I'm doing this one in kind of a narrow hall, so that one's a little bit tough to demonstrate in a narrow hall, but that's super quick a workout that you can take and do in a hotel room, your own living room, your backyard, wherever. So I'm Ben Greenfield. Hope that was helpful. Have a great workout.
