Hello, everyone. We are live and I hope you can all hear me.
I'm going to go ahead and activate the chat.
Then we'll get rocking and rolling.
You are in the right place if you want to find out what Tri Ripped is. Ask your questions and.
Get ready to rumble here. Because trirpt launches in three hours, it will go live and be available to you. So the purpose of tonight is to tell you everything that you need to know to answer all your questions. I know you're going to have some questions if you're in the chat room or if you're watching the video. And for any reason you can't type in your questions. That means you need to register for a free ustream username and that will allow you to type away and take your typing handcuffs off. So, for those of you who don't know who I am, my name is Ben Greenfield. For those of you who don't know what we're talking about tonight, we're talking about Tri Ripped, which is a triathlon training program that I have, in my deep, dark dungeon, been slaving away at creating for the past few months. And here's why.
Basically, there's this problem in triathlon that although it's a great sport, it's an incredible sport. It's challenging, it's fulfilling, and it's very popular. The issue is that a lot of triathletes simply don't have the bodies that they want. The style of triathlon training that they do leaves them what I call either skinny fat, meaning that your arms are kind of small. You know, you've got decent endurance, but basically you got kind of small arms, small legs and a little bit of a midsection, like a muffin top, some fat around the hips, a little bit of fat in the belly, that type of thing. Or you're fat, but fit. And I see this more often in females. But basically it's the issue where you're training and training and training, and for some reason you just kind of see stay kind of fat, like, it just doesn't burn off. So the reason that I made triripped is because there's really no reason that you can't do triathlon, that you can't be swimming and biking and running and engaging in endurance sports and doing it really well, and not also having a nice body, having the body that you deserve for doing all the crazy exercise that you're actually doing. So the trick was to actually write out a program that does everything right from a diet and a supplementation perspective, from a Gym and a weight training perspective and then a swimming, a cycling and a running perspective. And to put that all together with the right components that actually allow you to swim, bike and run and get a nice body during your 2012 training season or whenever you plan on using this program. I'll get into your questions. I see a few coming in here right now. But the basic package for TriRipt is the actual length of the training plan is adjustable based off of your starting level of fitness, but it can be lengthened to as long as an eight month training program or to as short as a four month training program if you jump in at the four month mark. If you're already relatively fit, there are options for sprint, for Olympic, for Half Ironman and for Ironman training. So you can basically jump in at any of those levels. There are also options for beginner up to advanced athletes. It's over 200 pages contained in an actual training plan that you're going to be able to get in digital or hard copy format. In addition to that, there is a training log that accompanies the Tri Rift training program, there is a supplement guide that accompanies the program, and there are, in addition to the bonuses that I'll go over with you, audios that are included with the program. One audio that's super, super important to achieving this whole get a nice body, get the body that you deserve and still be able to be fast at triathlon. And and that's an audio that goes into how to optimize your body hormonally. Okay, Whether you're a guy or a girl. And Tri Rift works for both. It's going to give you a lean, hard, defined body whether you're a guy or a girl. But you've got to listen to this audio in order to get the full results of the program. So it comes with that audio. It also comes with an audio that contains a lot of the research that I've been doing on getting yourself to recover quickly, to bounce back very quickly after your workout so you can go through this program start to finish without actually skipping any of the days in the program. So I lay that out for you really clearly as well. The whole thing is implementable with TrainingPeaks. If you're a TrainingPeaks user. I've got it all dialed into TrainingPeaks so you'll get access to the free version of the TrainingPeaks version of Tri Ript along with the digital or the hard copy version, whichever one you get. It also comes with.
The Q and A access to Me, I'm kind of known for this with all my programs. I did a good job with it with Triathlon Dominator. But I really make sure that I'm there for you in terms of answering your questions. And we've got a separate Facebook page set up for Tri RIPT users to actually use this stuff and to be able to use me as a resource for it.
There is also, if you go to Tri RIPT when it launches and goes live here in a little under three hours, there is also going to be some pretty big bonuses involved if you get tri ripped within the first 20 hours. After 24 hours after it comes out. I'm not going to tell you what those bonuses are in this video. You're just going to have to watch the special short. I promise it's short, but the short video I'm going to have over@trirript.com and that video will be live for play here in just two and a half hours. But watch that video to see what bonuses you get if you grab this thing within the first day after it comes out. Because I'm throwing.
Basically bonuses in there that exceed the actual cost of the program itself. So huge bonuses when it comes to trirept. So I'm going to start to get to your questions now and.
I will basically be going over your questions in the chat box and answering them as we go. First come, first serve. So if you're in the chat room right now, you can just type in your questions. I'm going to get to them and I will start off right off the bat with CHJ Tri. Dudes, question one. I've gotten a lot. What is the difference between Triathlon Dominator and Tri rept? Alright, cool. Great question. So don't get me wrong. Triathlon Dominator is a great program. I wrote it. I wrote it originally for Ironman and then I made a bunch of tweaks to it so it could be used for Half Ironman. If you really kind of twist it a little bit, you could use it for sprinter Olympic distance triathlon, but really Triathlon Dominator is designed for ultra distance triathlon. I mean originally for Ironman and also for Half Ironman. Really not ideal for sprint and Olympic distance racing, although you can use it for that. Tririft is designed for sprint all the way up to Ironman. Okay. So you can use it for the shorter distances of triathlon or whether you're just getting started or whether you're a seasoned triathlon veteran. Another difference is that Tri Rip really, really focuses on the aspect of getting a nice body. It's not like I neglected weightlifting when I wrote the Triathlon Dominator. It's not like I neglected taking care of your weak spots and doing that type of thing. But it was written Triathlon Dominator was written purely from a sports performance standpoint. And I've spent the past couple years designing this change up that allows you to still get the sports performance but also be able to sculpt a really, really nice body. And that wasn't my original intention when I wrote Triathlon Dominator was the whole get a nice body part. I was just focusing on the sports performance. And then I realized triathlon after triathlon, seeing all these people half naked at triathlons and getting lots of emails from people who were either skinny, fat or were doing triathlons and couldn't lose weight, that there was a big need here for a program that actually lets you get a nice body that other athletes are actually envious of. Because frankly, triathletes are known for having skinny arms and skinny legs and maybe not really having a six pack and maybe not looking the way you should look for as much exercise as you do. So that's the main difference between Dominator, Triathlon, Dominator and Tri Ripped. When you step back and look at it and some of the bonuses, some of the audios are different, but really those are the main differences. Okay, Muskrat says, what about information for those new to triathlons? You could never do a triathlon in your life and jump into Tri Rift. You'd want to start from week one. But everything is there that you need to know. You can be a complete rookie. Now. I've set up the program and written it so that there really is an adaptation that you can make to the program if you're literally wanting to train more along the lines of the Neo Pro level, but you can be a beginner and start the program as well. That's one thing that I really went after is being able to tweak this for all levels in terms of people who are using triript.
So don't get me wrong. And I've been experimenting with this program myself. If you go to facebook.com trirpt I uploaded basically a half naked picture of me up to facebook.com tririp just to kind of show the kind of body I've been getting from working on this myself. I'm really happy I've been able to maintain speed and really work on my the aesthetics. So check that out if you want to know, like what we're looking for again, it works for guys, it works for girls. One thing that I really focused on was making it so girls wouldn't bulk up. If girls want to use this program. So girls, yes, you can use this. It's going to do the same thing for you, give you that lean, hard body. There's photos in the book that include women exercising and there's a reason for that. You can actually use it if you're a girl. Okay.
Inboom says, what equipment will I need for the strength training portion of the training?
Equipment that you'll need would be dumbbells or kettlebell would work too. Elastic bands and or cables either one stability ball would be nice to have some kind of bench or something you can lie down on. Stability ball would work too. No fancy schmancy exercise machines required unless you want to use them. You know, if you have access to a gym, all the better. Like, I belong to the YMCA and I, you know, I've been going to the YMCA for about a third of my workouts and doing the rest at home. Literally just I have dumbbells, a stability ball and some elastic bands and a mat. And that's what I've been using. So you don't need a ton of equipment. And then a follow up to your question.
The price difference between the triathlon or between the digital version and the book version. So the digital version, which you download to your computer and which also you can put onto trainingpeaks is.
Going to be the same as I said, Triathlon dominator digital version is 97. And to get the hard copy sent to your house with all the components. And also you get access to the training piece version. When you do the hard copy version, that's 1 97. So that's what you're looking at for price point. Whenever I sit down and write a program like this, I realized that that's a lot less than I charge for coaching. But the whole idea here is I'm trying to make a program that a lot of people can use. And so I'm kind of leaning towards.
Making it affordable for as many people as possible and just kind of banking that it gets into the hands of a lot of people rather than charging a boatload for all this information that I put together.
And so that's the reason that I've set it up that way is just to make it a little bit more affordable for you. So digital is 97. Hard copy is 197 compared to what you're going to spend on a coach and your physical Therapists and trainers and nutritionists and everything else drop in the bucket. So Eddie says, is this a similar question, but does Tri Ripped replace Triathlon Dominator? You wouldn't want to use the two programs at the same time. Okay, so either use Tri Ripped or use Triathlon Dominator. I guess if you really wanted to, you could take the weight training sessions from Tri Ripped and you could plug and play them into Triathlon Dominator. But I mean, you know, I'm one of those guys who doesn't like to mess around too much in mix and match programs. So I would just say if you do Tri Ripped, do Tri Ripped and you can do Ironman with Tri Ripped, probably the main difference is you will be spending a little bit more time with Tri Ripped working on your body, working on the way you look, working on the aesthetics, making yourself look good naked. So that really is a component of Tri Ripped. Don't get me wrong here. Compared to Dominator, you will be spending a little bit more time doing those type of activities. But it's still, it's anywhere, depending on the level that you step into it at. Anywhere from a 6 up to a 15 hour training week, depending on which workouts that you choose in Tri Rift and which distance that you're doing.
Okay.
Foot Traffic Coaching says. Oh, John Austin says a bit too much on the picture. Ben. Sorry, I think you're referring to the Facebook picture. Okay, so Foot Traffic Coaching says, is this a strength physique program that works alongside your own coaches training program?
Yes and no. You can take another training program that you're already doing and just do the diet, supplement, hormone and weight training part of Tri Riptide. Or you can do all of the components of Tri Rip because it does include swimming, biking and running instruction. So it's kind of either or. So the answer is yes and yes to that question. Alex Webb says, what if your time is limited?
You're preaching to the choir, Alex. My time is super limited. Whenever I write out a program, I come from it of the standpoint, from quality over quantity. I'm big, big into not wasting time getting the most bang for your buck out of a workout and then getting out the door. You're never going to be training 20 hours a week unless you want to tack extra time onto the program. That's up to you if that's something that you want to do.
I'm big into the 10 to 12 hour Ironman training week.
That's what I've gone for with Tri Ripped with the adaptation. Or you could train you could tack on a little bit more. If you did the full meal deal for every session in tri ripped and you were doing the Ironman options, you could probably spread it out and get it up to about an 18 hour training week. But I really did design this for using the same philosophy I use in all my programs. And that is you want to spend time with your family, you want to be able to work on your career, you want to be able to hang out with your friends, you want to be able to do other hobbies. So I came at it from that standpoint and especially early in the program even included a lot of time for other hobbies, other sports, using other sports for cross training, instructions for doing that if you want to do it, and dry ripped, that type of thing. Okay. Ten Brownfans says. Are the weight training exercises similar to your weight training for triathlon exercises?
No, they're not. Actually. I wrote Weight Training for Triathlon, which is a great book. Don't get me wrong. I know it can be confusing when I have like all these different programs. That's why I do a webinar like this to clear stuff up. The ultimate Weight training Guide for Triathlon was written for performance and power. Okay. Not for body sculpting.
Tri RIPT was written for, for all three body sculpting, strength and power. Yes. I am not going to lie to you and tell you that you can have your cake and eat it too. Whenever you are working on sculpting your body and getting a nice body, you do sacrifice some of the power exercises that you could be doing. But the way that I've set up trirpt is so that you're still able to do the body sculpting and get really fast. Yeah. You won't be using super heavy weights and doing tons of powerlifting. But ultimately I've set it up so that even though you're not doing the same type of workouts that I have in my ultimate weight training guide for triathlon, you're still going to have enough strength and enough power for your swim, bike and run workouts. So, you know, I wrote out this program though, for the people who, you know, let's just put it this way, people who want to look good naked, who are maybe a little bit vain about the way they look, who want to have that six pack, who want to have nice arms, who want to have good looking legs, who want to have a nice chest, who want to look good while they're doing triathlons. That's the whole idea Behind Tri Ripped and it'll still make you fast too. That's the kicker is I don't want to turn you into like a slow bodybuilder because that would suck. It would make me look really bad. Bunch of slow people doing my program. Okay, T. Schlitz says what if you are racing Olympic up to Half Ironman, which version would you choose? Or does the race difference matter?
It's not really. Like you could use Triathlon Dominator, the other program that I wrote for Half Ironman to Ironman and then Tri Rep. If you're doing Sprint to Olympic, I would definitely use trirept now that I've got it available. But you could also use it for Half Ironman to Ironman. I have really tried to make this like the last triathlon training program you will ever need, especially if you want to look good. So that's the deal with Tri Rept.
The whole theory behind the program is different but you could use it for sprint all the way up to Ironman, whereas Triathlon Dominator, I would usually more use that for like Half Ironman to Ironman. Okay, lou says I'm 45 years old. I've been training triathlons for three years. Completed some sprints and an Olympic doing a Half Ironman this year. At my age, what should I expect and what results should I expect.
As far as actual times?
What I'm going to say is the fastest times that you could expect with tri reps.
And I won't go after the slowest times because it's going to vary from individual to individual sprint triathlons. You could generally do your fastest time about anywhere from 55 to 60 minutes using tri ripped elliptic distance. Fastest times about 155 up to 205 for your fastest time. If you're going like itu wanting to race down in the 140s, that type of thing, you're probably going to have to lose enough muscle to where you wouldn't want to use trirept for something of that speed. For Half Ironman you'd be looking at being able to go right around in the 415 to the 430 range as your fastest speed. If you want to like break four hours for Half Ironman or something like that again, go train like a pro triathlete and train your 25 hours a week and 30 hours a week and whatnot. You know, I wrote this program for age grouper and amateur triathletes. For Ironman, you're looking at being able to do about a930 to a945 in terms of your. Your fastest time for Tri Rift. If you're wanting to break nine hours again, something's got to go. And a lot of times that is the weight training in a lot of cases, in terms of prioritizing more time, like, go ride your bike three hours a day. So those are the type of results we'd be looking at in terms of time. Triwahini says, will this program work for women or is it designed for men? I went over this a little bit earlier, Trewahini, but yeah, absolutely. One of my goals here was to make this. And I know it's a photo of a dude on the COVID and I know there's a photo of a guy on the page, but I made this so that girls could get lean, hard bodies. Okay. I would love to go to triathlons and see more girls with lean, hard bodies. Don't get me wrong, that'd be great. So the more women that are using this program, the merrier because it really is going to help women be able to get a nice body as well, especially like the hormonal part of it. And that audio that I have will help you out quite a bit as well as some of the diet stuff that I have in there will help you out quite a bit. So absolutely, women can use this. And I know that I personally won't be complaining about the results that women will get from this program. Okay.
See, the boom show says, does it work with an indoor trainer for the bike component for winter training? Yeah. Short answer is yes. Long answer is I am personally a northern climate guy. Spend a ton of time on the bike. And yes, absolutely. Fully adaptable for indoor training on the bike. Big fan of that. And yes, you can use it for. You can use it on the indoor trainer. Absolutely. So yes. Okay. I am Dave Erickson. Hey, Dave. What's up? Says, as for supplements, do you include a list of suggested products? Yes, I do. I actually have some of the components of Triherp sitting here in front of me. You'll get this when you get it. It's a supplement guide and it goes into. I kind of want to step above Triathlon Dominator. Like when you buy Triathlon Dominator, it gives you like this big supplements discount guide but kind of fall short. And I know I'm slapping myself on the wrist here, but kind of falls short in terms of exact recommendations for how to use everything. So I kind of stepped it up in tri rept and actually tell you like, you know, Here, here's what you can take, here's some discounts for it and then here's. Here's when to take it. So I give you dosage instructions as well in tri ripped and tell you what to take and when. So yeah, absolutely, I lay that out for you. Okay. Muskrat says I am broke. Can I have a free copy for being the first person to ask?
I can't give it away, unfortunately. I put too much time and effort into this thing, like I said, slaving away in my deep dark dungeon here to get this thing done. So no, I can't give it away, but I've made it as inexpensive and affordable as I possibly can. So hopefully that helps you out a little bit. Ok.
JR Johan says, can you explain what you mean by the program has a focus on hormonal balance? Yes. I have an audio program that comes with TRIPT that goes into why your hormones would be depleted from endurance training and, and what you can do about it, like how you can optimize your hormones, which are a huge part of recovery and of looking sexy and also being sexy. So last thing I want is for a bunch of people to use this program and look good naked and not be able to perform well in the same state. So hormones are a big part of this as well. I make sure that your libido and your competitiveness is also going to be enhanced when you're using this. Of course, there's no doping, no steroids, none of that stuff involved. I don't recommend any of that. And there's none of that recommended or involved in tri rep, so don't worry about that. But that's what I mean when I say hormonal balance. And then the dietary approach that I used in this program is really laid out for hormonal balance as well.
It is not a paleo diet per se, but you could easily be on a paleo diet and be doing the program that I lay out in Tri ripped. And just like any of the programs that I write, it's always continual support. So as I change stuff and as stuff gets researched, I am always upgrading my programs and always sending out new information to people that are using them. You can ask. I don't know if there's any triathlon dominators in this room. If there are, you guys can speak up on the chat. But I mean, triathlon dominators have gotten so much more from me since the program came out. I mean, I'm always emailing you guys with new stuff, always going into the forum and kind of answering your questions and upgrading the program when it needs to be upgraded. And so you know, everything from diet to exercise to all that stuff. You know, when you get a program from me, it's dynamic. I always am like upgrading things when they need to be upgraded and that would include diet and stuff like that. So don't worry about that. I will always take care of anything when it comes to adapting the program to your needs. Okay.
Let'S see other questions.
Wow, I'm looking over this right now. I'm actually not seeing additional questions. I'm seeing. Thanks. THJ Tridude says I agree on the statement for support while doing the dominator. Oh, Eddie 1777 Eddie says how many weeks before to see some results you will start to see results from this program in terms of seeing results in the mirror about six to eight weeks in. That's when you're realistically going to be. If you have a wife or girlfriend and you're a dude, that's where you're going to have them start to say some things in terms of commenting on how you look. If you're a girl, you're going to notice about six to eight weeks in that your pants or your shorts are fitting a little bit differently, your arms looking a little bit different in a T shirt. So that's basically about the point where you can expect to start to see differences. I never want to lie about my programs and tell you, oh, a week in you're going to look like a champ. It does take a little bit of time. And about six to eight weeks in is where you're going to start to see differences with this program in terms of significant stuff that you can see in the mirror and you can see when you put your clothes on. So.
Alright, ML Duncan says I want to be ripped. I want to fix my hormone issues and be able to do the Warrior Dash. I'm not wanting to be a triathlon. Would this program. I'm not wanting to be a triathlete. Would this program still be good to buy? Yeah, I mean the Warrior Dash, a lot of times you're not going to be like riding a bicycle or swimming. You're going to be like crawling through mud and stuff like that. I mean you could get tri ripped and you could do just the running and the weight training components of it and you know, use it like that. Absolutely. And then later on if you decide you want to do a triathlon, you could add back in the swimming and the cycling. But yeah, I would certainly take care of the hormonal issues and also help you to look better. And you. Absolutely. If you follow kind of like the sprint distance portion of trirript, you'd be able to do something like the Warrior Dash. So.
CHJ Tridude says, how will the nutritional aspect benefit diabetics? Stabilizes your blood sugars, which is the biggest issue. Interestingly, whenever you're looking at optimizing your hormones, you're looking at doing a lot of the same things that optimize your reproductive health or your reproductive status. The two go hand in hand. And it kind of makes sense that as we improve our reproductive status, those are the same type of things that are going to make us look better. At the same time, those are also the same type of things that help to stabilize blood parameters like blood sugar. And so a lot of the concepts, the supplementation and the nutritional concepts in this book would absolutely help with your blood sugar. I don't want you to misconstrue. This is medical advice. I'm not a doctor. I'm not prescribing you anything. But this would help with controlling blood sugar in terms of the actual diet. Many of you who have followed me for any period of time know that I'm really not into foods that destabilize your blood sugar levels or kind of throw your blood sugar levels on a roller coaster ride. So it would help you in that way. Okay, the Boom show says I've never used one of your programs before. Is it completely laid out in a calendar of what I need to do each day, Monday through Sunday? Yeah. So basically the main book, and this is a great question, so you look at it and it says, day one workout, day two workout, day three workout, that type of thing. And so I know there are some people out there that don't work on a strict Monday through Sunday routine. And that's why I use day numbers rather than day names for the people who want to kind of rearrange it as they see fit. But in both the book, you've got it laid out that way. And then in the trainingpeaks version that I laid out, I've also put all the workouts on the calendar in their ideal format. Now, I realize that there are a lot of people who will get a triathlon training program and they'll do something like if I have a swim prescribed, Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday, they'll move that to Monday, Wednesday, Friday, just because that's when they like to go to the pool. And maybe they'll switch that out for moving the biking to Tuesday, Thursday, And Saturday, whether you get the Training peaks or whether you get the digital or the hard copy version, both are going to come with training peaks. And Training peaks will allow you to set up your calendar that way. And it's also set up in the book in terms of day by day format. So when I create a program.
I try and make it so that I have to offer as little support as possible. Don't get me wrong, I love to interact with the people that I'm writing programs for. But ideal world, I would never ever get a question right. So when I sit down and create a program, that's what I ask myself is how can I lay this out so that I'm never ever getting any questions from people in terms of them feeling like they have to guess about what they have to do? So you will have the calendar laid out for you and you'll also have the flexibility, kind of drag and drop as you see fit if you want to switch stuff around.
Okay. Arizo Lapiz says are the hormone supplements necessary? To clarify, they're not hormone supplements. Any supplements that I recommend are just supplements that help to optimize your hormones, help your body to be able to do what it's supposed to be doing. I don't recommend anything that is a hormone in and of itself because a lot of times when you're taking hormones, that shuts down your body's own ability to produce them. So all we're doing is trying to put your body into a state where it can do things like produce more testosterone or convert less testosterone to estrogens, those type of things which. And by the way, testosterone is really, really necessary for females as well, not just males. So that's what supplements are doing. I realize supplements are an expense and they're not entirely necessary. Okay? But if you want to get results as quickly as possible, then, or as completely as possible, or if you're just really, really messed up, you've been eating really bad and your body's just in complete state of nutritional deficiency. Supplements are kind of necessary to be able to dig you out of the hole. Okay? It's just the reality of us living in a world where food has some issues in the way it's made and the way it arrives at your table.
Maybe you're an organic farmer and you have perfect food, I don't know. But otherwise, that's what you're looking at with supplements. Then you say, what are the side effects.
Besides going faster, recovering faster, looking better, and having better sex?
Sometimes when you start into supplements right away you have a little gas, a little bloating, your body isn't used to digesting capsules, whatever, you might spend a little bit more time on the toilet. All that goes away within one to two weeks. So, you know, we're not talking about anything in terms of side effects as far as, you know, like being drowsy or breaking out in a rash or anything of that nature. Much, much different than like pharmaceuticals when you're taking just natural supplements. Okay. Imboom says how many 2A days are in each week?
2A days are. It kind of depends whether you decide you want to combine the workouts or whether you want to split the workouts into a days. For me, when I wake up in the morning, as I've been going through some of the tri ripped workouts, it just depends on my schedule. If I've got an hour and a half to kill in the morning, I'll combine two workouts into one and do both workouts and get them over with. If I've got a half hour in the morning and 45 minutes in the afternoon or something like that, I'll do workout in the morning, one of them in the afternoon and split it up as a two a day. So there's flexibility in terms of being able to do that. And as far as an actual basic training week, wish I had it memorized, but for example, I'm gonna go through like.
Tri rept is broken into blocks like phase one, phase two, phase three and phase four. And each phase has several weeks in it. But like the first week workout one is, or weight workout one is a stability workout. Swim workout one is a balance workout, Bike workout one is a muscular endurance workout, run workout, run workout one is a skills workout. And then those are all the workout ones. So you put those on like in training peaks. For example, I believe that weight training workout one and swim workout one are on Monday and that bike workout one and the run skills workout tongue twister is on Tuesdays. And then there's. Then you've got basically Swim Workout 2, Run Workout 2, Bike Workout 2 and Weight Training Workout 2. And then.
There'S another weight training workout which is weight training workout three. Couple optional additional workouts for the half ironman and the ironman athletes, and that's it. So you're actually probably going to be training slightly less than you're used to training, especially in the early phases of the program, but you're going to be looking a lot better. That's kind of the way I have it laid out in terms of Numbering the workouts. And then in the TrainingPeaks version, I actually lay those out in the calendar. And then in the book version, you just put them on the calendar days that you want to put them on for your training week. Hopefully I didn't mess that up too bad. I know. I kind of twisted my tongue there a few times. Okay.
All right, let's see. For Training Peaks, do we need a paid subscription to Training Peaks to have the calendar access? No. And this is actually important because here's the deal. When you get TRI Ripped and you go to apply it to TrainingPeaks, TrainingPeaks asks for your credit card information. So I'm giving you a promo code that allows you to get Tri ripped onto TrainingPeaks for free. But TrainingPeaks, when you create your free account, they require your credit card information. And they do that because they're smart marketers. Basically, it's because they. They eventually would like to be able to upgrade you to some fancy premium trainingpeaks account or something like that. And they want to be able to do that and be able to do it automatically if you say, oh, yeah, I want to upgrade. So they don't charge you, though, when you start off with a free basic account, which you can have for a lifetime, and they'll never charge you. But I know some people have been uncomfortable with that because they see that it's a free account, but then they're giving their credit card information to TrainingPeaks. TrainingPeaks just keeps that on file in case they want to charge you or in case you want to upgrade. So, short answer is no. Trainingpeaks is absolutely free. There's extra bells and whistles that you can buy in TrainingPeaks, though, and that's why they ask for your credit card information. Okay, are the supplements going to be the ones sold at Pacific Fit or is it that we can buy similar ones?
Okay, supplement recommendations are given. You can buy them from Pacific Fit. And by the way, if you currently use any of the supplements that are at Pacific Fit.
The one discount guide that comes with TriRept, that alone is worth the cost of the entire program because there's fat supplement discounts in there. Regardless, though, you can take the same supplements and you can get them at like a Whole Foods or a gnc. I. I do recommend that when you get the program that you use the support that I'm providing with TRI Ripped and you go over to the Facebook TRI Ripped page, that is going to be the support page that you run supplements by me, and I can tell you if they're really truly the equivalent, like if a fish oil is really truly the right kind of fish oil to be taking that type of thing. So I can help you out with those substitutions as we go. But that's the deal with the supplements you can get on Pacific Fit. You can use the big discounts that I give with the program, which basically pay for the program themselves, or you can go get the supplements that you're used to getting.
Which program is better for race performance, Tri Ripped or Triathlon Dominator?
Tri Ripped definitely for sprint or Olympic is going to be better. It's just designed to be able to be adaptable and more adaptable to shorter distance triathlons than triathlon. Dominator is because Triathlon Dominator is really focused on like Half Ironman to Ironman distance in terms of which one's going to be faster. I don't know if you were in the room when I laid out the speeds that you were going to be able to achieve with Tri Ripped, but ultimately it's going to be the same as far as how fast you're able to go. Really the only people that I think shouldn't be using Tri Rip are like pro ITU athletes, like people who want to break kind of down into the eight hour range for Ironman or the three hour range, like the 350s for half Ironman if you're in those shoes. Or maybe like the 140s for an Olympic distance triathlon. That's where you may want to actually hire a coach and join a professional triathlon team or something of that nature. But if you don't fall into that group, Tri Rept is going to be fine for you. You're going to be able to do things like win your age group and do the type of things that I did this year for my triathlon training program. Because what I was doing this whole year was experimenting with a lot of the tri rep stuff that I was writing because I was designing the program this year so I'd go out and do workouts as I wrote them to see how they worked. And my season turned out okay and I went really fast using this stuff. So let's see. Giona says, how long is the Tri Rip program? 36 weeks. Technically, if you went through the whole thing start to finish, it'd be eight months. You could jump in at phase one, phase two or phase three though, depending on your experience. Like if you wanted to, you could start this, you, you know, whatever, February, mid January, and you can go through it all the way to October. Or you could look at some of the races in Tri Rift and you could just start where you want to start. But the way that I've written is a little bit different than Triathlon Dominator. Triathlon Dominator is like, start here and end at your race. Tri Ripped is like, so here's a phase that you can use for the off season. Here's a phase that you can use during the race season. Here's a phase that you can use as you're building up to the race. And so I really made tri rips so that if you wanted to, you could like move phases around depending on your race season. Because that actually was a support issue that I ran into with Dominator was a lot of people wanted to tweak it based on changing their race dates. So when I sat down to create tri reps, one of the goals was to actually set it up so that you could really be able to move stuff around. And I include a pretty comprehensive frequently asked questions section in there to kind of teach you how to do that kind of stuff.
Okay. Another question.
Will I be using this program when I go pro?
Some of you may have heard I'm going to go pro at the end of next year. I haven't decided yet. Honestly. Right now I'm using a lot of the workouts from Tri ript simply because I'm kind of time crunched. And it's really good for when you're time crunched. I don't know. When I go pro, it's possible that I could end up hiring my own coach. And I know if I do that, I'll probably be training like 20, 30 hours a week. And in a situation like that, if I'm doing like three four hour bike rides every day, that type of thing that's different than tri rips. Tri rep does not have you riding three and four hour bike rides a day. So there may be some changes that I need to make for sure when I go pro. Okay. Imboom says with the program being broken into phases, in phase one, are we working on speed or endurance? Or is phase one like a base phase or a build phase of a normal periodization plan? Tri Rift is like no plan you've ever seen before. I've looked at pretty much all the plans that are out there. It is a total hybrid. You're going to be doing interval training from the get go. You're going to be doing weight training from the get go. Yes. Your goals change and the type of workouts change as you Go through the program. Yes, stuff does get a little bit more intense as you go through the program. The intervals become shorter, that type of thing. But there really isn't like a straight up base training phase or a pure build phase. Trirept, it's different. It's going to be a game changer when it comes to the way that you train and the way you go about your training year. But you're going to be really pleased with the results and the way you look. So it's a little bit different. It's not like a strict periodization plan.
What size is the digital download? Okay, Erizo, the digital download is big. Know this when you go to download it, it's 130 megabytes. Okay. One of the main reasons for that is because if you buy the digital version, you're having to download the audios that I recorded and I wanted those to be high quality audios. So they are. It is a big file, so be patient. It's going to take probably like 10 minutes to download on the average like high speed Internet connection. So if you're not getting the hard copy mailed to you and we are mailing anywhere in the world and I've hopefully got enough copies printed and ready and packaged starting in two hours here to be able to ship out to all the first comers. I will get more printed out.
If we run into issues with deliverability and the hard copy version. I've got the printer standing by if they need to make more and make more fast and print more CDs fast. But at this point you will get quickly the hard copy version. I know, especially when some people have purchased supplements from me, that there's been a delay in getting those. One of the reasons for that is I work with really small companies to outsource a lot of the supplement design and, and getting high quality supplements. And one of the drawbacks to that is like a lot of times because they're sourcing really, really high quality ingredients, stuff gets delayed and stuff gets backordered. However, you will not experience that with Tri Rift. This thing gets shipped immediately, we ship it priority tracking. And also the digital download is immediate and it's again 130 megabytes I think. So.
Is the discount applied in the first 24 hours or will we get a promo code? I'm not quite sure exactly what you're talking about. There's a bunch of bonuses that you get with Tri Rift. You gotta get Tri Rift within the first 24 hours in order to get some of those Bonuses. So if you don't get it by tomorrow night at midnight, you're gonna miss out on a lot of the bonuses that are included with it. And I spell out what those bonuses are in the video that you're going to see on the tri rip page. I'll be launching that video here in a couple hours.
But as far as, like, promo codes, as far as download codes, like, anything you're going to get instantly, you just go check your email after you get the program, you get it all. And I've even got something really, really special on the thank you page that you get to after you get tri ripped. Don't close that thank you page right away. There's going to be a video on that thank you page that you can watch.
And if you're kind of a serious athlete or you want to get a little bit more.
I have something pretty cool on the thank you page, too. So watch the video on your thank you page after you get the program. And there is even more. I've tried to give and give and give with this program as much value as I can. Okay. Lou says even if I'm fairly out of shape and a slow triathlete and trying to focus on the half and the full ironman, does tri work better than most plans?
Yes. I work with amateurs, I work with age groupers, I work with beginners. There's a reason that you don't see me quoted when pro triathletes are getting interviewed, and that's because I have kind of made it my job to work with amateurs, with age groupers, with a lot of people who are just getting into the sport or. Or with, like, the age groups who are trying to podium, trying to go to Kona. But I don't work with a lot of pro athletes. They're really nice people. It just doesn't fit my whole model of the way that I've chosen to coach. And so, yes, any of the programs that I write, same thing. They're not designed for pros. They're designed for people who want to get fast, who want to maybe even podium, for age groupers, who want to get fast fit. And you want to have it spelled out with no guesswork involved. So, yes, you can use this even if you're fairly out of shape and even if you're a slow triathlete. Imboom says if the plan gets updated or revamped next year, do we have to pay for the new version? Absolutely not. And you can ask if there's any triathlon dominators in the room, you can ask them. But whenever I make upgrades to Triathlon Dominator or anything like that, they always get this stuff for free. Free, like whenever I do stuff like that. So I do make updates to my programs as I go. As you know, if you've listened to my podcast, I am constantly researching and I am the first to admit if I'm ever wrong about something or if something ever needs to be updated. And I will always take care of you when it comes to, you know, giving you for free any updates to a plan that you've bought, like Tri Rept. So no worries about that. I will take care of you. Is the support only through Facebook or are there other means of program support? Yeah, you'll also get access to like the Tri Rip support email. Like the Dominators have access to a support email as well. One of the reasons that I also have the option to use something like a Facebook forum to ask questions is that it's nice eventually to have this knowledge base that can be searched. And so that's one of the reasons that I encourage people to use a group support before they turn to the individual support and why I set stuff like that up. Okay.
Past Tridominator user and currently being coached by Ben. He does a great job with continual support. His programs work. Thanks, Brad.
Taho Rob says. What kind of bike is that behind you? That's the Gray Storm time trial bike.
I've got a couple of bikes that I ride right now. Actually, now that I'm racing for Team Timex, I actually have three bikes. So it's one of those deals where I've got too many bikes. If you want to buy my Gray, I could sell it.
No, I'm just kidding. This isn't a classifieds forum, but no. Anyways, that's my Gray Storm tt. It's my indoor training bike. It's a little cold for riding right now. We're closing up on seven, which is about when I wanted to close up this workshop just because frankly, I've got some housekeeping stuff I have to do in order to make it so Tri Rift actually is ready in two hours because that's when it goes live at 11:59pm Eastern Time. And I've got a few little things I got to do to make sure that that all goes seamlessly. So I'll hang around here for a few more questions. So if you've got questions, go ahead and ask them. Chjtridude says, I'm trying to utilize the Wheat belly philosophy. Will the nutrition plan Be easy to do with both. Yeah, absolutely. And by the way, I've completely cut wheat out of my diet, so I will totally help you do that with tri rips too, if you ever want to make any changes. I've made it all safe starches. But I mean, if you need substitutions and stuff like that. Yeah, absolutely. You can do this with no wheat. Imboom says. Is PayPal accepted? Yeah, absolutely. You can get this with PayPal or Visa or MasterCard or American Express.
Or clams, bones, gold coins, whatever. I'm flexible.
I'll trade out with you. Okay, so Lou says, sorry for all the questions. CrossFit type of weight training. Is that what you use as well? Not really. I've seen too many people get injured with CrossFit and I've seen too many people have bad form with CrossFit. And I've also seen CrossFit beat you up so much that you can't swim and bike and run. So CrossFit, Beach Body Insanity, P90X, Jim Jones, any of this stuff. Trirpta is a lot different. It was designed by a triathlete for triathletes. So.
You will swim, bike and run faster and you will look just as good or better than any of your friends who are doing CrossFit. I guarantee you if you're using this program. So if you're currently doing CrossFit, I would highly consider that you actually use all the stuff that I've written out in tri ript instead. It will be better for you than what you're doing right now.
All right, John Austin says it's too bad that you're not offering a discount for the people who have joined this.
So here's the deal, you guys. This video is going to be available for everybody to watch. So if I offer a discount to you guys, then everybody gets it. Okay, here's what I can do.
Do you guys really want me to do this? Give a discount to everybody who's in on this right now. John Austin is begging me. Okay.
Let me see what I can do. Okay, here's what I can do. I cannot announce it on the microphone.
And then I can type it in the chat box. So here we go. You guys ready? Now I'm going to have to make sure that I actually go get this discount set up. Everybody quit typing so I can type in a discount for you. Okay.
We'Re going to go.
Okay.
Here it comes.
Alright.
It'S not going to be huge discount. No, it's not going to be 50%, but I actually I'm going to be pretty generous here. Okay. There you go. Okay, it's typed in the chat box. If you want the discount, there it is. I will have that ready in two hours so that you can use that in the discount code section and that will give you a discount. Okay. All right, you guys, I honestly, like, I do have some stuff I gotta go do to get this program ready by midnight Eastern time, so I'm going to have to rumble. I hope that helped you out. I will make a replay of this available. Thank you all for coming. I love to be able to help you guys out and it's my pleasure when I release a program like this to be able to go around to races and just meet everybody that's doing it and using it and rocking it with this program. So I look forward to seeing you all with your tri ripped bodies at the races. And you can head over to the website at midnight Eastern time and it will be ready, I promise. So I will see you around. I'm going to sign out now.
