Hello everyone. Thanks for listening to the Grow youw Life podcast. My name is Jeremiah Krakowski and on this podcast we talk about ways for you to grow in your life and your business. We've helped businesses grow to multiple eight figures. We have clients that we're working with right now that are growing their businesses to multiple seven and eight figures. We help coach business owners on just getting started exactly what they need to do to break through to that six and seven figure level. Now, if you're not in the grow your life Facebook group, join that group. There's over 1500 people like yourself that are growing in the life and in their business today. What I want to talk about is right and wrong. And I want to talk about doing things the right and the wrong way and what the right way to do is in your business. And I want to shift a little bit of some of your mindset and paradigm. The first thing is I want you to open your mind a little bit to hearing some things that may go against how you've lived your life up to this moment in time. I want you to be open to hearing some very contrary beliefs that are opposite of how you may have been operating up to this moment in time. The reason I say that is because I believe that these beliefs stop people from reaching their goals. And they are beliefs that I had for a very long time. And as soon as I shifted them, everything in my life and in my clients lives and in their businesses changed by changing these beliefs about right and wrong in their business, the right and wrong way of doing things. And the paradigm shift is this, this one foundational truth. There is no right way to do everything in your business. There is no perfect way to put all the pieces together. What works best for you may not work best for somebody else. And so the process is finding your personal, unique right way of doing it, which oftentimes in business is going to be the opposite of the best practices or best standard that most everybody else has done in business, business prior. And so if you're trying to fit into a mold of what the best practices and the right way of doing things are, you are literally setting yourself up for failure from the beginning. I'm not talking about taxes. I'm not talking about how you treat your employees. I'm not talking about how you do things ethically. That's not this conversation. Okay? There are some standards as far as that. Pay your taxes, treat people with respect, have compassion, be a nice human, okay? What I'm talking about is specifically the activities of sales and marketing and product development. Caveat to that, I'm not talking about low quality control. I'm not talking about fraudulent products. Okay? Say I got to put that out there so that you guys realize that that's not what I'm talking about. Please don't sell fraudulent products. Please sell high quality products. I believe all of you do. If you're listening to this podcast, you are people of integrity. I believe that the people who listen to my podcast have integrity. Otherwise you wouldn't listen to me. You wouldn't resonate with me. You wouldn't resonate with listening to Jeremiah Krakowski. Okay? So now that we're on the same page that we are, we're not talking about doing things without integrity. We're not talking about doing things that would harm other people. Okay? There is no right or wrong way to build your business from a marketing and sales perspective. And the efforts of trying to do all the things that the right way, quote, unquote, on waiting until you know what the right way is before taking action, which I get where that comes from. I completely understand. It comes from this feeling. If I know what the right way to do things are, then I will avoid the pitfalls along the way and I will be safe and not waste a whole lot of time doing all the wrong things. That's great. I get where that comes from. You, you don't want to waste time. You want to make sure that you're doing the right things. But in business, especially when it comes to sales and marketing, the right way to do things is, is testing stuff, is. It's very reckless, it's very careless. It's very much just throwing a ton of stuff out there to see what works. And then you analyze that data after about three to six months. I have seen people, I have coached people that have been waiting for years to discover the one or two right way to do things, quote, unquote, strategies that's going to break them through to the next level. And I, and I, I'm sorry to say this, but they don't get it for some reason. And so my goal is that maybe you will get it just a little bit today, that maybe you will unlock just a piece of this. Realizing that the right way is testing, is putting stuff out there. It's putting out a lot of things that do not work. So this is the right way, is putting out a ton of stuff that most of it won't work, most of it will fail. But then there's that 1 to 2 to 5% that rises to the top that does really well. And then you hone in on that because you've found what lane works best with people. That's why we send out surveys. That's why we put out so many different stuff. Is to discover what it is that people need the most help with in your business. No matter what niche you're in, no matter what product or service you sell, embracing mistakes, embracing failure, embracing the opportunity to learn, to discover, to read data, that's the right way. Sitting around waiting until you discover the one perfect right way to do things is the exact wrong way. That's never going to come. It only ever comes by putting a ton of stuff out there with most of it not working to get the data, to then analyze that data. And you will never replace that process in your sales and marketing, no matter what niche you're in, no matter what industry you're in, no matter what product or service you sell. That's why I constantly am preaching, take imperfect action. Put stuff out there to just see what works. Because if you don't, six months will go by, a year will go by, two years will go by, and you'll still be waiting for the right way to tell your story, the right way to run Facebook ads, the right way to put an offer out, the right offer to put out, you'll still be waiting until you feel good enough to do that. You know, I'm actually going to borrow a story from the Bible here that I love, that I got this week on this topic. You know, there's a story about Jesus telling Peter to step out of the boat. He didn't tell Peter to step on the boat. Out on the boat, when he felt good enough to do so, when he felt safe enough to do so, when he felt certain that it was going to work out for him, when he felt that it was the right step to take. Jesus said to just do it. And I'm telling you, when it comes to business, marketing, sales, it's literally that you have to step out with the very real possibility that you'll sink and accept that and embrace it and love it. That sinking and the possibility of sinking are part of the process that you can't avoid, you can't skip, you can't move past. You can't take enough courses or training programs or get enough mentors. Now, by the way, you can. You'll find mentors that will lie out their butt and tell you that they have the right way because it makes them a lot of money. Because you're looking for somebody to give you certainty. They know that. And they know that they can take advantage of you by lying and telling you that there's one solid right way to do things. How do I know that? I've been in the room with them. I have been in those conversations with them. When you tell somebody, yeah, this is the one right way, people will believe you. And it's a hundred percent a lie. It's a marketing gimmick. It is. Even I do it. Everybody does it. Some of you might be saying, wow, that's really unethical. You can either choose to do things right, or you can choose to make a lot of money. And that's what Alex Hormozi says. This isn't a question of integrity, by the way, my friends. This is a question of would you. Would you like to get a gold star for doing all the right things in life, or do you want to make a lot of money? At some point, you're going to have to choose up to give up the banner of perfection, the banner of having all the answers, doing all the right things, doing everything perfectly. Just go make a whole lot of money. By the way, it's a whole lot easier to make a lot of money than it is to make a little bit of money. If you believe that. Well, I just don't. I don't want to make a lot of money, Jeremiah. I just want to make a little bit of extra money. That's actually a lot harder to do to make a little bit of extra money than it is to make a whole lot of money. So I would rather your goal be just to make a whole lot of money, because then you'll make that little bit just by accident. Okay? So you'll do better just by. By lifting and 10xing your vision of what's possible for you. Taking that number of how much? I want to make an extra thousand a month. Make your goal an extra 10,000amonth, an extra 20,000amonth. You'll make that extra thousand to 2,000 just by accident by having that bigger vision. See what I'm saying? Get it out of your head that there's a right or wrong way of doing things when it comes to your business, when it comes to your marketing, when it comes to your sales, and just start putting stuff out there. If you've been around the block a few times, you've heard enough training, enough coaching, enough mentors to tell you how to build your website, how to build your funnel, how to put Facebook ads up, how to build an offer, how to put stuff out there and yet this fantasy idea of the one right thing that will make you millions is holding you back. And that desire to discover the one right thing that will work and to be waiting until. Don't call it wisdom, by the way, my friends. It's not wisdom. It's fear and worry. That's all it is. It's completely fear and worry. And fear and worry will always lead you to destruction and poverty. Stop letting those low energy thoughts of fear and worry into your life and into your space when it comes to your business. Fear and worry of oh, did I do it wrong? Fear and worry of oh, is this a bad thing for me to do? Fear and worry of oh, am I unethical for doing this? I'm serious. That thought process where you're so terrified of making a mistake that it stops you from doing anything, anything will keep you in that cycle forever. You have to break out of that cycle and start to take imperfect action that may fail, that may be wrong, that may be a mistake that may not produce the result that you want so that you can test things out so that you can get the data and start to move forward. There's no cash and prizes, gold ribbons at the end of the rainbow for doing all the right things. It's just not. What produces the most results in business is taking risks, taking steps of faith, taking action and just doing something instead of thinking about doing something, instead of constantly trying to learn what the next thing is, putting what you know already into practice. Well, I don't have it all figured out yet. Stop waiting until you have it all figured out yet and start taking action now with what's already in front of you, with what you already know how to do. If you're listening to this podcast still, I promise you there is a step one and a step two that you've been putting off for the last six months that you haven't done yet because you've been waiting until it feels good to do it. You're just gonna have to do hard things, my friends. When it feels bad, when it doesn't feel right, when it feels exhausting and start to take action, to move forward. I'm not promoting burnout, I'm not promoting overwhelm. By the way, I'm very anti those things. I believe that you need to prioritize your self care, your rest, your mental health, take care of yourself, take care of your mindset, spend some time in meditation, spend some time calming your thoughts and becoming present. That's where the breakthrough comes in. Stop speaking negatively about yourself, stop Mentally punishing yourself when you make mistakes and start praising yourself, start loving yourself more, start raising yourself up, start spending time around people that raise you up instead of negative people. Stop being so critical of every single action that you do, stop being so self critical of all the stuff that you're doing and just start doing something that's going to produce the best results. My friends in your business. How do I know this? Because I've seen it happen in my life, in the lives of business owners that I've worked with. My mom. Millionaires, multimillionaires, billionaires. They are not afraid of making mistakes. The people that stay broke are waiting until somebody tells them the right thing to do. It's a corporate mindset. It's a corporate America mindset where you're waiting for another human being to be responsible to tell you what what the right thing to do is so that you can scapegoat and give up the responsibility for figuring it out on your own. Side note to that, asking for help from a mentor, from a coach, from somebody who has walked the journey before you, that knows the pitfalls is the best thing for you to do. I would recommend a lot of you give up this black and white thinking of, well if it's this, then it can't be that. Well, if it's this then it can't be that. Well, if I'm doing this then I can't do that. And just do what feels good in your business. Seriously. Cultivate happiness. Cultivate joy in your day. Cultivate excitement in your business activities and stop trying to hold a candle to doing all the right things and following the right process. And this black and white thinking of if I do this and I can't do this, or if I do this, then that means this. Rip that crap out of your head and just start building. Humble yourself enough to ask for help when you get stuck. You don't have to figure it all out on your own, but you have to stop waiting for other people to tell you what to do before you move forward. Hold those two ideas in your mind for a little while. I think that those are two really foundational things, especially if you come out of corporate. Is holding those two ideas in your mind A. Don't be afraid to ask questions. In corporate, if you ask questions, you'll look stupid and you'll probably get fired. In corporate, if you figure it out on your own, you'll get praised and you'll get promoted if you got nobody that helped you. But in corporate, you're also waiting until somebody else tells you what to do. You're also waiting until you get advice from somebody before you move. So you're gonna have to change that thinking and stop waiting until somebody tells you what to do. Be the one to tell yourself what to do based on what you already have inside of you, while simultaneously being willing to humble yourself enough to ask for help. Stop trying to look like you got it all together. I'm sorry. That life maybe has taught you up to this moment in time that you have to have all the answers to be safe, to be an acceptable human being, for people to like you, for you to be good enough to reach your goals. You don't need to have all the answers. In fact, the most successful business owners don't need all the answers. The mental capacity. I want you to hear me on this. The mental energy that it takes to have all the answers is the opposite of the mental energy it takes to run a successful business. You're gonna fill up your mind with the need for all the answers and miss the creativity and the strategy and what it takes to actually build successfully. And so you're worth so much more than just your ability to answer everybody's questions perfectly. To have all the answers when people ask you, that may have been the environment that you came out of, that you needed to have all the answers to be safe, to be secure, to feel worthy, to feel accepted. When it comes to entrepreneurship, you don't need to have all the answers. You just need to be able to implement and take action as quickly as possible and find who has the answers. And 99% of the time, it's not going to be you. If it is you, you will overwhelm yourself. You'll burn yourself out, and you'll give up. Because you were never meant to build a business that way. Eventually, building a business is all about, okay, how do we then bring other people around us to build with us? Well, it's not just us doing it on our own. It's other people helping us. And it becomes a community project, a strategy where other people are giving input, because other people look at the world differently than you, and they shore up your weaknesses so you can double down on your strengths. Get it out of your head that you got to figure it all out on your own. There's no cash and prizes at the end of that rainbow of needing to figure it all out on your own. I mean, to have all the right answers, I need to do all the right things. What produces the most results, the most profitable results are taking action. As quickly as possible and then figuring out the answers to what you don't know as fast as possible by asking for help. That's it. If you can cultivate that and you can humble yourself enough to where your identity isn't found in Am I doing all the right things? Am I doing this all the right way and have I done it all on my own? And you're willing to ask for help and you're willing to prioritize speed and getting it done as quickly as possible to get as much data data as possible instead of sitting around for months waiting until perfection arrives for you or you have all the answers before you get started that will produce the most profitable results for you in your business. I know it more than anything else makes me sad when I see people operating in the opposite of what we just talked about today. Because that is a recipe for a hamster wheel of failure. The only way for you to break out of that hamster wheel is for you to start to do something differently than you've done your whole life. Entrepreneurship requires you to take your brain and rewire every single part of it differently than what you did prior to being an entrepreneur. Maybe you helped build a business at one point in time, but now you're starting to build it all on your own by yourself. You are going to have to rewire your brain. The habits that you used in the past are not going to work in the future. And especially right now with the Internet, with technology, things are moving so much faster than they ever did. You don't have an option to sit around and wait for things to feel good before you get started. I'd recommend you either go get a job or work for somebody else if that's you. Because what it takes to be a successful entrepreneur is fast moving, testing things, shifting things, adjusting stuff. Stop waiting until it feels right and you have certainty before moving forward and start with what are the one to two things on your list that you know that you've been putting off? That's what's going to change your life, that's what's going to change your business, and that's what's going to help things move forward for you. Get this idea out of your head that there's a single right way to do things and every else thing else is wrong and that we have to avoid making mistakes and be willing to have things fail. Be willing to have things not work out for you so that you can discover the data that you need to start moving forward in your business. I believe that this is possible for every single one of you that's listening to this right now. And I've seen it happen for people. I got a message from a lady the other week. She said, I finally started to apply your imperfect action thing, Jeremiah, and I got sales in my business. It works. It works. It happened. I know it does. It does work. You'll get it eventually and then it'll start to work for you. I can't wait for that day to happen.
