And you can win multiple times, once a month, meaning you could win one month and then the next month and the next month if nobody else registers or I pick the same person. So make sure that you do that. Now. Today, what I want to talk about is finding, honing in on, communicating to and reaching your target customer. This is one of the areas that I love to help people with. All the companies that I consult and coach, I help them establish a system, a framework, and this takes time, in fact, to do this. So I'm gonna condense for you probably two to three months of a lot of my coaching that I do with people and consulting into one podcast episode to get you at least into the right framework state of mind that will help you be looking in the right direction. Often when people are trying reach their target customer, they are looking in the absolute opposite place possible to reach them, and they are doing the absolute worst thing possible to reach their target customer. I see this so often, and so that's why I love to help people with this. And the companies that I've helped reach their target customer and sell have made seven and eight figures consistently. Here's one of the first things to do. Like I said, almost everybody does it wrong. So I want you first off to not judge yourself for that fact. Okay? As long as you are spending your energy and time judging yourself on doing the things wrong and worried that you're not reaching your target customer the right way, or saying the right things or not doing it right, you will never reach your target customer. And as long as that's your focus of am I doing this right? Am I reaching my target customer? Right, you will actually continue to not reach your target customer. So that's why one of the very first areas that I really love to help people with is getting past that, that need to be right, that need to know Everything that need for certainty. Because what happens is to reach your target customer. It's a process of learning how to communicate, what makes them tick, what moves them, what drives them. And that's how you will reach your target customer. But there's not a one size fits all model for this. There is a frame to discover it, but you have to keep looking at the data and keep refining it over time. It is an active, intentional activity that cannot be skipped. It's not something that you can do once and then you're good and you can skate on by because of that. You have to keep refining it to reach that target customer, to help serve them. You see, if all you want is a business that pays you money, you might as well just go get a job because then you can guarantee a paycheck. But for you to actually be a business owner, you have to do the work that is required for you to do that. And reaching your target customer is an active process. You have to grow in some areas of communication, sales, market research, pattern recognition, psychology, and have empathy and understanding and be vulnerable with people. Meaning be vulnerable enough to show parts of yourself that maybe you're not willing to or comfortable with before. And that's why personal growth and personal development is actually the very first part of reaching your target customer. If you do not spend the time and do the work required to grow personally, you will project all of your insecurities on your target customer and you will completely shut the possibility down 100% of reaching them. You will completely close the door to any possibility of your target customer reaching you by projecting those insecurities. And so that's why personal growth and personal development is actually one of the most important parts of reaching a target customer. Growing and understanding about making money, growing in the confidence to communicate to people without worrying about rejection and fear and what they might think about you if people are going going to resent you if they agree with you. You see, reaching your target customer is never about you. It's always about them. It is never about you at all. You are a catalyst to connect another individual to the solution that they are looking for. And so if you try to put yourself in that equation and make it about you, you will fail at doing that. And I see this constantly. If you are worried about how you look to your peers or people judging you when you're reaching your target customer, you will stop yourself from reaching your goals. Without question, you will stay stuck. And so that's why a lot of my content, I keep pushing the personal development, the growing in not having to prove yourself to people, not having to validate yourself or get validation or invalidation from other people. Because for you to hone in to find, to reach your target customer, you can't find validation in those people. You have to be the one that is essentially validating them. You have to be an encourager to people to encourage another person to connect with the solution that they are looking for. And you have to immerse yourself in the. The culture, the community, the language of that person. Even if. Even if it makes you look stupid and you have no interest in what makes them tick, you have to still immerse yourself in the culture of what your target customer cares about. You have to put yourself in the place of what. Where do they go, what do they do on a daily basis, what do they experience, what drives these people? Even if none of that matters to you personally, for you to reach your target customer, you have to know more about what makes them tick than what they even know themselves. And that, my friends, is how you will reach your target customer. Is growing in that empathy to understand about another person, to grow in that way of knowing what do they care about, what is relevant to them. And that comes from asking questions, that comes from delivering value, that comes from speaking your truth to people and connecting to theirs and connecting your stories together. You see, for you to reach your target customer, once you grow in confidence, you will actually start to meet people that are very much like yourself, your target customer. Unless you're a big brand that has products that you're producing, or even if you are part of a big brand, if you are trying to sell anything, people are connecting with you. They're actually not connecting with your product, they're connecting with you. And yet at the same time, it's not about you, it's about them. And so this is where people get this kind of mixed up. They're like, well, if people are connecting with me, then it is about me. Well, no, it's not. It's about them because they see something in you that they relate with. And so they see it as a path that will help them reach their goals. And so you'll often find that your target customer is somebody maybe similar to you or your friends that you hang out with that sees something in you that they want. And for you to reach them, it's kind of like going back in time and speaking to yourself or a loved one in the past to help bring them up to speed with where you are right now. You see the stuff that you know up Here, about your product, about your service, about what you do, your target customer knows nothing about. In fact, they're not even following all of your content. They're not even following all of your videos. And, you know, I know this. When I make this content, there are people right now, they listen to this podcast, they don't watch all my videos. So that's why I repeat the same things over and over again to people, because I want people to get this message, to understand this. And if you haven't listened to some of my other podcast episodes, I would encourage you to go back and listen to them. Listen to the ones about getting past fear, growing in confidence, getting your idea from idea to profit, and that will help you get to the next level. But when we have an idea, we still have to learn how to reach our target customer, how to communicate to them. And so that's about putting yourself in the shoes of another person. Even if it feels uncomfortable, even if you start to. You've never done that before. You have to learn to grow in empathy, to empathize with another person's needs and, and imagine yourself in their position and have compassion for them, have compassion for where another person is at. And that will then help you communicate to that person by imagining, if I was in this position, what would drive me? What would drive me to purchase? What am I looking for? Often, if we have a product that we're offering people, we have to empathize with what people actually want and then decide, okay, who wants this? You might be asking, well, how do I know who wants my product? Well, take a look at your product. Who would want your product? If you don't know the answer to that question, that is your number one job from here on out is discovering and knowing in full detail who would want your product. And get to know what drives that, who. And you can find this often by either reading reviews on websites like Amazon of similar products, looking at testimonials, looking at maybe peers that have done the similar thing that you're doing, or just by diving deep and becoming a customer of yourself, or becoming a customer of your industry, becoming somebody that is immersed in using what you have to offer. Because then you will start to discover the types of people that buy this type of a product, the types of places they hang out, what their interests are. And then when you start to sell to those people, you communicate directly to the psyche of what drives that person. You're communicating directly to what they need to hear. You are meeting another person right where they're at. Even if you are not there even if you are further along than they are. That is why they are attracted to you, because they want to get to where you are. But you have to meet another person right where they are at directly. And maybe you don't know where that is. That's where asking questions comes into play. That's where humbling yourself to join certain communities, to start to ask maybe leaders in different industries and ask your, your customers, past, present or future, or customers of maybe other people, people that use the type of product that you offer, what drives them, and start to ask questions that really care, that really matter, that really will give you a clear indication of what drives these people. And then you speak and repeat back the words that they use to them. When you're selling, when you are honing in, when you are finding your target customer, there will be patterns of words that you'll notice that are used. Start to use those same words even if you personally don't use those words, and even if using those words might make you look silly to some of your peers or people. You have to get past judging yourself or worried about other people judging you for doing the things that will reach your target customer. So often I see people, they will not build their business because they're worried about what their friends or family will think if they say certain things or people that are around them. And you have to get past that. You see, for you to reach your target customer, you have to become the authority on what you're doing, become the best person in the world at what you're doing and what you're offering. And maybe you might be saying, well, hey, I'm in a saturated market with some, so many people that are doing what I do great. What makes you unique? What makes you stand out? And if you don't know the answer to that question, that's what you need to dive deep into. And that's where again, like I've been saying, growing in confidence matters. You see, there's nobody like you. There's no other individual on planet Earth that is like you. And so you are going to reach different people than other people that have done what you are doing will reach. Now, how do you show that to the world? And how do you present that that is how you will reach your target customer? You see, somebody else's target customer may not be your target customer. You may think that they are, but you'll find later that they are not. And pulling from just what you've seen other people do from comparison will often lead you to a Roadblock of confusion. And so that's why you have to become very clear on what drives your target customer. What, what are their needs, what are their wants? And you need to actually speak to their wants and desires more than their needs. You see, your customer may need something from you, but if they don't know that they need it, you cannot just deliver to them what they need, because they won't even know they need it. They will completely sleep on you and you'll miss them. And you will be irrit relevant to your target customer by only communicating their needs. And I see people so often doing this because they're not willing to meet another person right where they're at. They're expecting people to already be involved, engaged, educated on the industry of what products they're offering, and yet they're trying to reach new people and they're struggling on the hamster wheel constantly. Well, it's because there is a disconnect in the way that you are communicating as the quote unquote expert or perceived expert to a person that is looking for what you need because you're only leading with the needs that you think they need instead of repeating back to them what their wants and desires are. And so you need to become really clear on what your target customer cares about. That is how you will communicate. To sell, to talk to your target customer, you have to become a part of their world. And maybe it's not these individuals, but what is this culture? You have to become a part of the culture that your target customer is in. You have to know more about what they care about and what they're interested in than you know about what you're offering them. And this, my friends, is how you will be able to hone in on and reach your target customer. You need to speak in a way that resonates with those desires, with those needs. You need to speak in a way that connects the dots. And then once you connect those dots, you can impart vision of what's possible to your target customer and sell to them. And everything is sales. Lead generation is sales for you to connect to a human being, to like your Facebook page, like and engage and comment on your video. It's sales. You are selling people on doing something. You are selling them on the fact that commenting on a page or liking or following you will improve their life and that, that they will actually get a result from doing that. You have to sell people on that. Yet so often I see people so focused on how do I get my engagement numbers up. Well, stop focusing on the engagement numbers and start to care more about the people that you're trying to reach. You need to become a studier of people, somebody who studies what makes people tick, what drives them, what keeps them up at night. And how do I present a solution to that, even if they don't know that they need it. And that's where sales comes in. And I've done a number of podcast episodes, episodes about sales and communication. Now, what tools do we use on, you know, to reach our target customer? Social media, advertising campaigns, email marketing, video, podcasts, any sort of way that you can get in front of people by showing them what you have to offer and then in those ways that you multi channel show people what you have to offer. Multichannel, meaning you're on all of these different places, not just one, but multiple. Email, LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube. All of this deliver value to them. That shows them that you have the solution to what they have done, what they need, what they want. And this is again, it's not about validating yourself or proving yourself to these people. You see every effort that you make to prove or validate yourself in the process of reaching your target customer will fall flat. You have to have confidence that even if they don't engage with me, that I'm delivering something of value and start to realize that it's okay if I'm not getting results immediately. I need to care more about getting to know, know and build a relationship with my target customer than I do about how I look to people or even if what I'm doing is the right thing. Now. What does that mean? I'm not saying do the wrong thing. I'm saying do something. Don't have fear of doing the wrong thing. Keep you stuck. Get to know your target customer more and you will know how to talk to them at least 5 to 10%. The other thing is this is I see a lot of people, until they know 100% of how to communicate to their target customer, will not talk to their people, will not put their stuff out there because they're worried about not knowing everything already. If you understand a little bit, lead with that little bit that you know already, lead with that little bit that you understand and start to ask questions with what you lead with there. Start to ask questions about how you can serve them more. You are working to serve another individual and you are delivering products and services that serve them. It is never about what you can get out of this equation ever. It's always about how you can help another person. And the overflow of that is you'll get financial resources, income, revenue. But that is never your focus. The focus of business is offering value to the marketplace. And by you offering value, which value is never equated to how much money somebody pays at all. Value is always what you offer that somebody else cares about to give up their time or money or focus or attention to and learn. What value can I offer these people? What do they want? What do they need? What drives them? Get really clear on how you can offer value to people. Don't be afraid of offering too much value either. I've seen this happen where people are afraid of giving away too much value, and so they hold back and people can tell. They can read that you're inauthentic, that you're. That you're. That you're afraid of giving too much value, and so you're holding back and you're not being authentic. Stop it. Just give as much as you have away. I'm not talking about time. I'm not talking about money, investment, by the way. I'm talking about information. Give away as much as you can to help somebody reach their goals. Be overabundant in the amount of value that you give to people. And don't worry about giving too much, because it will come back to you in the overflow of what you offer for sale. Be confident in that. Have faith in that. And when you start to do this, when you put all of this together with intentionality, with confidence, fearlessly, courageously, vulnerably, to put yourself out there to the point that you might receive criticism. In fact, I almost guarantee that you will receive criticism. You have to be okay with that fact. You can then reach and communicate with your target customer very easily. Ask yourself this. What am I so afraid of? If you're afraid of anything or say this, why do their opinions matter? You see, I see a lot of times people won't communicate to their target customer because they're worried about the opinions of either their target customer or other people. And so they stay stuck in this loop of inaction because they're trying to validate and prove that they know what they're talking about. Why does that matter so much? Get real clear on that. You need to first grow in confidence to know what you're offering and then intentionally learn what you don't know. How to communicate to people, how to reach them, how to reach people through social media and advertising campaigns and grow in confidence to do that. This is why I tell people to make videos every single day on their social Media. It's about growing in confidence so that over time, the more that you do this, the message will become clearer. You will become better at communicating with people. It's not about the engagement, it's not about the sales, it's not about the numbers. It's not about validating yourself. It is a practice in discipline. It is a practice in excellence to help you grow from where you are to where you want to be, even if nobody engages with you. Put yourself out there. Start to talk about what it is that you have to offer. Nobody's going to know about it until you put it out there. Learn how to do Facebook ads, campaigns. I have a course that's coming out here very soon about doing advertising campaigns. Present yourself in a way that's professionally. I have a course, Website Building Made Easy, that helps people do that to grow their email list. There's lessons in there on how to build funnels with a website. Start to learn how to communicate with other people, what you have to offer. Care more about the other person than you care about yourself and looking good to other people and you will be able to hone in on and target and reach and find your customer quickly and easily. What pages do they engage with? Maybe look at your competitors in the same industry. Look at how they communicate. Be very cautious. What mentors you listen to, Are they people that have been successful in reaching your target customer? Are they people that you're just trying to compare yourself to to be like them? Or are they somebody that can help you get to that next level? Be cautious what messages you're listening to. All of this works together in reaching your target customer. Be a light of hope to other people to point them to where they're looking. If you have any other questions about this, about reaching your target customer, I'd love to talk with you. I'd love to coach you. I have coaching on my website where I help people hone in on reaching their target customer, where I help establish and identify, you know, how do we target people? How do we know what to target in advertising campaigns? What, what copy works, what email marketing works, what systems work best. If you want to win a free coaching session with me, you can leave growyourlife on my Instagram to do this. You can ask questions in my GrowYourLife community. That's what that group is for, is to ask questions. Listen, whatever it is that you're offering in your business, reaching your target customer is not rocket science. It's not. It's very easy. You've been over complicating it up to this point in time because you think that to get a result, it has to be hard. It's very simple. Immerse yourself in the world of your customer. Get to know what they care about, and then deliver value to that person as if you're delivering it to yourself. What would you care about if you were them? And communicate in that way. And that will help you with your copywriting, with your video, with your content creation and all of this. To find the people that need what you have to offer. Grow your life, everybody, and we'll talk soon.
