Hey, everybody, and welcome to this week's episode of the Grow youw Life podcast, where we look at how you can improve your life, how you can grow your life and get more results. And I believe that if you grow your life in business and your personal life, they affect each other. So you're going to hear me talk about things that are going to help you grow your life in your personal life and in your business that you can apply to one and the other, and they will help leverage your efforts to achieve your goals. And that's what this is about. We also just launched the Grow youw Life community. Go check it out. Grow your life on social media. And on my Facebook page, go to Jeremiah Krakowski.com community and join that group. What I wanted to talk about today is from the feedback that I've gotten in the group over here, and I actually did something different with this podcast today. I'm testing something that I've never done before. I'm going live in the group right here. I'm actually looking at the people in my group on my phone over here while I'm recording this podcast. At the end of it, I'm actually gonna take a few questions. If they load up any questions that they want to hear me answer on this topic, we will do that. So that's part of this right here. What I wanted to help you with today is how to get really good at making content on video. Because I find that this is the ground floor level of what people need to succeed. Now, here's the deal. I had another number of people write me this week, and they're like, when are you gonna get to the funnels? When are you going to get to podcasts, Facebook, ads, advertising growth, revenue? Here's the deal, everybody. I'm building a foundation with this podcast. We are only in episode number six. I plan on committing to do this for you at least for the next couple years. Going live every single week on this. Going live on my Facebook page every single day. So I'm going to get to those things. I'm going to come up teachings, trainings, courses for you to break down every single topic. But I also have, you know, limited time and days because I just started this, I need to set a foundation for that. And the foundation is helping people get really good at the basics that are then going to help them grow beyond that. And so if you say, hey, I'm past the basics, cool. Join the community, follow what we're doing, learn from it, maybe even reverse engineer it, I highly recommend that and as we grow, I will start to teach the higher level stuff on this podcast on my courses. So it's coming. I want to encourage you in that. Stick with me and this over the next year or two and you are going to have a resource for you that you can listen to these and find where you need to grow, where you need to learn. And you will have actual action steps and tools to do that. That's the first thing that I've discovered is this beyond a website that people need. And I also had some people asking where's the course on Squarespace that I talked about in episode? I think it was three or four that is coming in a week or two. It's coming out very soon. It will be launching. I just have to make the sales page for it. It's ten and a half hours long. It's a course on building on website building made easy. So stay tuned for that as well. Beyond a website, what I've seen that people need and if you're listening to this, you know, let's say I'm in episode 50 and you're listening to this right now. What people need next to a website is they need to get really good in 2019 at video. Okay, Facebook just made some changes to their platform, to their algorithm that affected how people interact and engage and learn online on social media, on Facebook, on their platform. And the difference is this, they are prioritizing groups. Video from pages over the traditional newsfeed. Advertisements are also actually more powerful right now than they ever have been because of this prioritization of groups of that. And you're actually able to track in groups who's watching videos, who's engaging with videos. They give you the option if you're posting a video as your page, you can look at how far somebody got in that video and actually then retarget to them. For instance, going to teach all that here in the future, everybody. But what you need to first get good at is articulating thought on video and then actually creating video content. And so this is kind of a mini masterclass that I'm going to give you right now about video and about what I've helped a lot of people with, getting confident on video, getting confident at talking and sorry, my nose is itching just a little bit here. If you're watching the video of this, the video is just kind of a recording of me. It's on my YouTube channel and on my. On the YouTube channel. Yeah, that's the only place that the video actually is so you can listen to this, if you're listening in your car or on the gym, then that's great. This is. That's why sometimes, you know, I'm not always looking at the camera. I'm kind of more focused on giving the best audio and recording the audio into my microphone. Here is that process. Getting really good at video is a necessary skill if you wish to grow and succeed in 2019 in your business. And if you want to reach the next level of where you want to go, whatever your goals are, you have to get really good at doing video, at articulating your thoughts on video and coming up with content. Coming up with unique and original content that people want to engage with. Not just what you think they need to hear, not just what's in your mind that you wish they could learn, not just what you're worried about, not just what's going on in your day, but really cultivating a community around video. Now with the new app on Facebook, the Facebook watch icon is at the top of the app next to groups. And so when you go live on a video or you're posting a video on your page and people are following your page, when now building page followers is actually more relevant than it was a year or two ago because you can build a page follower and then you start doing video and now you appear at the top of the feed on Facebook. Watch when you produce video content because they're following you and whatever they're engaging with the most, whatever they're watching the most. So if you want to be relevant, you have to get good at video because then also running video ads is important. Now, how do you know what to talk about on video? Let's say you're also scared of the camera. Let's just start with that. Let's start with the fear of the camera. First off, I noticed that almost everybody that I work with, they are not very good on video. They're not very good when they first get to recording themselves. They're not very good at when they first have to start recording on audio. They. They get nervous, they are worried, and they're in their head too much about what they're saying. So part of the process of getting really good at video is getting out of your head, getting out of your head of what is making you nervous, what is making you afraid, what, what you're focused on so much that is dictating you, that is, that is worrying you about the camera. A lot of people see the camera lens like it has teeth, like it might attack them. And sometimes that's because they're worried about what other people are going to think on the other side of that. So defeating your fears, getting over your fears is this. If your breakthrough is going to come by you getting past your fear of recording yourself on camera, then you must work through getting past that fear. And I did a podcast, episode number five on fear, helping you get past that. Your breakthrough is on the other side of that fear. And I truly believe that everybody. And so here's the deal is, if you have that fear and you're worried about that, here's a very, very simple process that I've helped people with. Start recording yourself on video and delete the recording. Press record and don't show it to anybody. Record yourself on camera and then delete it and do this and practice this until it becomes comfortable for you, until you become comfortable with talking on video, with going live, with being live in front of other people. This is also how to get good at even public speaking is going live in front of other people. The practice of it, practicing and putting it into practice is how you'll defeat that fear and you can actually baby step it. So to baby step the fear of the camera, you will actually record yourself on camera. Or if you want to take it to the next level and really break the fear, you'll go live on your Facebook profile or page in front of people that know you. And you'll do this once per day, and that'll really break that fear. And you'll start to really start to articulate better because you realize that whatever you feared was not real in the first place. And by taking action, by doing it on a repeated basis, you'll get really good at this. But if you don't want to go live just yet, record yourself on camera, safe environment, no one's gonna see it. Watch the video back once and then delete it. Face the fear head on and realize, okay, what was I afraid of? Okay, I'm afraid of how I look. Okay, maybe I could adjust the camera up here. It makes me look a little bit better. By the way, if you have the camera higher than your eyesight, it keeps your chin up, so it keeps you from doing this or looking up your nose when you're recording. So that's a great little tip right there, is have the camera above your eyesight. Have the camera a little bit above it while you're recording. And that'll. That'll make you look better because you are positioning your body physically in a place of confidence, which is great. The next thing is, yeah, practice Makes perfect. And then the next step is record the video and show it to somebody that you trust, someone that you love. Maybe post it live. If you feel good about one go again, you are going to have to though within 30 days. If you're not willing to go live on video, on camera after 30 days and you're still afraid of that, you need to just do it. You need to go live and break past that fear of going live. And what is that fear of? What are people going to think about me? What are they going to judge? What are the fears? Even write it in the comments here. If you have any fears that you're worrying about, you know, send me a message, Post it in the grow your life community. I want to help you guys grow through this. I want to help you guys break through whatever is holding you back. And you that are watching live over here, I'm talking to you as well. I want to help you break through whatever is preventing you from doing exactly what you know that you are called to do and are supposed to do. There is no reason that you can't get from where you are now to where you want to be. It's all about decisions, actions and choices and actions that you make in your life. And so to break free about of that fear, you have to take action now, luckily, with the camera, with video, it's about baby stepping. Just do it. Just go live. Just press that record button and practice. The more you do it, the better you will get. Okay. And then take and analyze. You know, how could I improve? How could I articulate this better? Was I rambling too much? I'm still working on that one myself. At the beginning of this podcast, I talked for maybe five minutes about some different things. That was a little bit of my nerves, just a little bit of, you know, being real with you guys. This is my sixth podcast, by the way. It's been said that most people fail after their seventh episode of their podcast. And so if you're breaking past episode number seven, I'm ahead of 98% of people that do podcasts, so. So I'm excited to break that level here. This first seven episodes has been a journey for me. If you listen through and you go back and you see some of the first 3, 4, 5, 6, and the seventh one will be next week. This has been a journey and a growth process and I'm growing with you guys as well. I am growing myself. We're growing together and that's why I built that community, the grow your life community. So if you have any of these worries or these fears or, or something, or let's say that you're worried about your content being judged, that people will not understand you, will not understand your perspective, or they will argue with you, or they will misinterpret you, or they will be upset with it. But you know that you're supposed to talk about it. You know that you're supposed to go live about it. You know that you're supposed to engage with this. You have to make a choice of this. If this is a goal that you have and you know that this is part of what you're called to do, part of what you're called to press into, then you need to, to decide, hey, what are you going to say? How are you going to say it? Start to craft the message in a way. You know, do some practice recordings. What I found is this, that if I articulate a topic in one way or another multiple times, I will actually get better at it. Around the fourth or fifth time that I say the same thing. And so the first couple times, it didn't come out exactly how I wanted. And I thought about that. I thought about, okay, and I, and this is an activity that I want you to do. I want you to model this. Think about how can I improve my articulation? How can I improve how I talked about that. That's why this whole process of going live and not showing it to anybody, recording yourself on video and then deleting it is. This is, it's a practice bed. It's a, it's a sandbox where failure has zero effect on your life. Failure. And that's the thing, most failures do have zero effect in our life other than, you know, maybe our own fears about what other people will think. But the ultimate sandbox is testing, recording, and then not even showing it to anybody. You can then self assess and be self aware where you need improvement. And then sometimes, and then eventually you will have to get out of the sandbox. Eventually you're gonna have to grow up out of kindergarten, out of, you know, high school, out of college, and graduate to going live and going out into the real world and doing that. And, and so this is the thing. If you're watching this podcast right now and you've gotten to this point of this, this is what I always tell people on this podcast. You're, you're listening to this 14 minutes in. I guarantee you this is something that you are wanting to improve in your life because you've already shown that by the activity of still being on this podcast. And I would invite you if you have no interest in growing it at getting good at video. No, you know, you don't need to listen to this podcast. But I will tell you this. In 2019, business is growing through video. Our influence happens through video more than ever. And video, now that everybody has a smartphone, has a good camera, has fast Internet, if you're not doing video, if you're a business that is not getting on video and consistently creating new original video content. And I'm going to actually talk about my process of coming up with content later in this podcast, by the way, if you're like, you know, I don't struggle with fear, but I want to know how you can come up with good content. That's also going to be in this episode. So keep listening to this. I believe that businesses and people that don't get good at articulating on video or finding a figurehead, that is, and raising them up and training them up, let's say it's not you, then you need to find somebody in your organization to be a figurehead to carry the message, to carry the vision to embody and personalize what, whatever it is that you're selling. Listen, so when Steve Jobs was selling iPhones, he was embodying and personalizing the movement and the cult of Apple Computer, the Microsoft, the people that embody it are the users, are the developers. You know, Coca Cola in the commercials, they have attractive people drinking their Coke. They are embodying that through video. And now it's time for the small business owner to, to realize this, that no matter what level you're at, to greatly accelerate and leverage your goals. Literally over a hundred times what you're doing now, if you're not doing video, once you start doing it after a month or so, you will see that your results are greater than. This is actually a guaranteed result that I can stand behind and say this, that if you go live every single day for two months, that's what I've done for two months now. And I'm now starting to see. It took about two months of consistency for me to start to see absolute massive change in the audience and the response in the viewership because people got used to, they're like, okay, he's go, he's going live every single day. There must be something going on here. And they're interested in this. So if you go live and you do video every single day, some sort of a video on a topic, breakdown, something break. And I'm going to go into that here In a second, if you go live on video, you will start to see results. And so you have to make a decision that you're no longer going to let your fears inside of you affect the choices that you make to go after your goals, to succeed in your life and in your business. And you've for so long up to this point have let. If you're not doing video, limiting belief about your ability on video prevents you from doing that. And so I'm here to coach you and I'm here to help you. And that's what the community is for. And this is, this is a topic that I believe everybody needs to get, everybody needs to understand. If you're afraid of the camera, you need to practice, you need to go live, you need to do the video. And if you don't know what to talk about, here's the deal. Just go live. Just do some video. Think about one thing that you are passionate about today or one thing that is related to your business, product or service, and do a video about it. Talk about it for 2 minutes, 3 minutes, 5 minutes, 10 minutes, or here's another way to do that. Have somebody come alongside you and have them talk to you about it. Record a conversation with another person and a dialogue and then start to get really good at that. Right now, while I'm recording this with you and everybody that I talk to, I view it as if I'm having a dialogue and a conversation with you. While I'm on here, I'm having a conversation with you as well. You're watching off to the side, but I'm even still checking and reading here what people are saying as well. And so if you have any questions or comments, leave them on this. Here's the deal. You have to get good at this video thing. This video thing is not going away. The Internet is not going away. And so now everything is so video driven and app driven. And the changes on social media are so driven by video. We got Instagram TV, we have YouTube, we have Facebook video. We have the new changes with the groups and stuff. People watch video and they want to listen. A lot of times people will actually listen to what you're saying without watching the video if you go live. And so part of the practice is this. Make a video about a topic that you are passionate about that's on your mind, it's on your heart that you know can help people, or that is about your product or service that you are offering. Or here's the deal, maybe I wouldn't talk about directly about your product or service, but why people need what your product or service offers or does. So for instance, when I come out with my course Website Building Made Easy, I'm making blog posts, videos, content about why everybody needs a website, why I think Squarespace is better than WordPress, why I don't think anybody should be using WordPress, and why it's easier to use. And then I can show people in my course how to build a site with Squarespace quickly and easily within a week and get their site up. Super simple. Okay, I'm not just talking about my product. I'm not just making a video about look at my product. This is what it does. I'm actually talking about the benefits of it. So for instance, let's make this about essential oils. If you're selling essential oils, talk about the benefits of a healthy lifestyle that would, that essential oils would support. Okay, if you are selling legal insurance and whatever people are selling, let me know in the comments or something and I can even start to answer that as well in the group, let's talk about this. Let's talk about what are you selling? And then I can come up with ideas for you to help you think about what content to make video with in the group. So let's say you're selling legal services, talk about the benefits of one legal service versus another, and then your product is the solution to that. So the idea is when you make a video that's about your product and you're making content, you're actually going to talk about the overarching community ideas, ideals and beliefs that surround why somebody would use your product. And you start to inform them and educate them about why using, using a product similar to yours or what your product will help with is important to them. And then at the end of it, you can give them the answer to their questions. How do I get started in living a healthy lifestyle like that? If you're selling essential oils, sign up as a representative for, you know, Young living or Doterra or whatever that is. That's how you do that. You start to come up with content that supports what it is you're selling and then you become a trusted source for that type of product or service. So for instance, if I create a course on online advertising, I'm not going to talk about why my course is so good to everybody except in an advertisement, except in a video advertisement. And I'm going to get into also the difference between that this is about creating content on video and I'm also going to talk about video advertisements and the Difference between the two. When you're making content on video, it's to inform and educate people. You're informing them and educating them about the benefits of it. So the benefits of Facebook ads, how when you get really good at Facebook ads, Google, Twitter, YouTube, the sales become automatic, they become simple. It's not hard to get sales when you know the very like 1, 2, 3 simple steps of setting up advertisements. And some people say, well, I don't know how. Well, the answer to that is buy the course. And I don't have a course out yet about that, but when I have one, that will be the answer to that. So the content is. I see a lot of times people will go live on a video and they are just going to talk about this hard drive and this also dives into sales. Especially they're going to talk about this hard drive. But here's the deal. If you sell hard drives, I'm going to talk about the benefits of having high quality storage, that you won't lose your memories, why it's important to make sure that you use, you know, certain types of technology, these benefits. And then I'm going to say the answer to that for you is to buy my product at the very end. A one minute pitch. Your whole video should not be about your product, except for the very end as a call to action if you are selling a product. So for instance, I will talk about how people can improve their life, getting over their fears, growing, creating video like this podcast. And my call to action is join my community. I'm not talking about my community in a whole video except for in an advertisement. And when you do an advertisement, you break it down with this. Who you are, what it is, why they need to buy it, engage with it, join it or take action and how they can. So in that you would say, hi, my name is Jeremiah Krakowski and I just started this community about like minded individuals that want to grow in their life and in their business. Here's the deal. All of us need a community. We can only grow as big as our tribe and those that we grow with. And so I want to invite you to join the community of like minded individuals like yourself to grow your life. Go to my website, jeremiah.com, click community and join today. That's how you make an advertisement video, very short, to the point. If you're making content, you can include a 30 second ad for whatever you're promoting in that because it supports the content. And so if you're like, how do I come up with content? You have to look at what am I selling, what do I want people to take action on? So, so if it's my group, I want them to join my group. But why do I want them to join my group? Because I want them to improve their life. So I make content all the time about improving your life, growing your life, you know, increasing your confidence and then how to grow in a business, actual strategies to increase business results as well. To have more finances, more resources to then leverage for your goals and create infinite possibilities for yourself. But see, I talk about those things and then my goal is for them to get into the community. And so I'm not talking about the community for an hour. I'm talking about how people can grow their life. So to make content, to make content that helps people in business think about A, what are you selling? B, what do they need to know to basically indoctrinate them to become a customer of yours? What belief systems do you need them to grab onto for them to become a customer of yours? They have nothing to do with their product, your product. And stop being so afraid that people are going to buy your competitors products. That's why I send people all the time to different podcasts like Ed Mylett, that's somebody that I love to listen to. Ed Mylett is amazing. If you're listening to this right now, go listen to him too. He's going to help you get your mindset right better than anybody that I know. Don't be afraid of that. Talk about the benefits of something. And if they take your content and then go buy your competitor's product, you actually still did them a service. Because you are coming from the perspective of how can I serve this person? Not how can I sell my product. Do not ever create content from the perspective of how can I get them to buy my product. Unless it's an advertisement video, unless it's that one minute clip, unless it's that little blurb that you're then doing a hard sale or a hard close. But when you're creating product content, when you're going live and then you're creating content and then this creates what I call the derivative model and we'll get and I'll get into the derivative model here in a little bit as well of what that means when you create content, when you go live and you are informing people about something that will better their life and you make that the entire goal of your content. How can I improve somebody else's life from where they are now to where they want to be with the knowledge that I have. And if that information is in the demographic or industry of my related product, then I have an opportunity at the end of it, when they believe in what I'm saying to say, I have a solution for you. Buy my product. And that gives you now an opening with 30 seconds to then offer your product and tell them about it in whatever you are teaching. And so when you create content that allows you to do that. And then there's what I call the derivative model, when you start to go live every single day. And this is actually the formula that I'm doing right now. And if you're watching me, you can observe this and start to reverse engineer this. Two months ago I started going live on video. And this is some high level stuff by the way, right now that I'm gonna get into. If you've made it already 30 minutes into this podcast, here's the deal. I'm going to tell you a little, little secret about this podcast. Little secret that I need to let people know about. It's a little secret about my method. I get into the deep stuff further into the podcast. And so if you're turning off the podcast early because you want me to get into the deep stuff, you're actually probably going to miss it because I'm going to get into what you're wanting me to talk about at the end. And for those of you that have listened all the way into this at 28 minutes and I'm going to put, I'm going to probably say that at the beginning of one of my podcasts, I'm going to start with the basics and get into the deep stuff. So listen to me further as we go into this. Those that have gotten 28 minutes into this podcast now that are listening to this are going to get the highest value consulting and coaching on this topic that has not ever been taught anywhere else on this topic, never seen anybody talk about this, the derivative model of content ideation and getting good at creating content. You start to go live, you start to make videos, you get past that fear and you start to create content. And then you, if you do that for 60 days, you'll have 60 videos. I would recommend a 10 minute live video and a 2 minute short form video on either the same topic or a supporting topic about something that you talked about over the last week then so that, so in that in 60 days you have 120 pieces of content on a topic. Now if you say I don't have 120 pieces of content to talk about, that's Fine, I'll show you how you do. And that's what I call the derivative content model is if you talked about one thing, there are usually five to 10, maybe 50, even 100 branching subtopics to the main topic that you talked about that you could then create a piece of content on. So if I'm teaching people about one thing, what are the 20 supporting elements of that content? Now I have 20 topics I could teach about that support this main overarching concept of growing their life and growing their business. For me, because growing your life and growing your business is my topics, I have a very wide range of content that I can talk about from what I've learned, what I've experienced and what I know works. And so that's what I'm doing is I'm giving you what I know works. And so I start to talk about that, what I know works. Specifically for growing your life and growing your business is getting good at creating video content. And then you'll start to see the feedback and the comments that people say, start asking questions, asking people, you know, asking people to even test or, or possibly prove you wrong and leave comments. And then you'll start to see where the marketplace where your audience is engaging with. Now you might be saying, I don't have an audience, that's okay. And that's, that's actually a topic for another time. Because that gets, that's like another 10 hour topic is building the audience. But here's what I'll say is this. I use Facebook ads and the reason I like using video on Instagram and Facebook to do this is I can build an audience based on who is watching my content. So I can build an audience based on who has gotten 10 seconds into my video, 25 seconds, 50 or 50%. 25%, 50% through my video. So let's say it's an, it's a 10 minute video. I can actually know who has watched at least 5% of that video, or I mean 50% of the video, five minutes of that video, I can tell who has watched 95% of that video. And somebody who's watched 95% of a video on a certain topic of content is a more qualified prospect of on that topic than somebody who has watched less content on that topic. Okay? And so then I'm able to create audiences based on who's watching that content. And if you get over a hundred views on a topic On a video, 100 people, you can create what's called a lookalike audience. And then the Lookalike audience is based on who either got 10 seconds in. You can set these parameters in the ads manager. You create a lookalike audience and then you can target your video. I'm doing a dollar a day. You can target your new content to the lookalike audience and the people who watched your video and then you're able to build an audience that way and then you're able to drive the people that are watching your content to follow your page, engage with you create a lookalike of who's engaging and this becomes a loop that you can then direct them into your product, service or community and then from there you can grow. From there you can offer mentorship programs, high end masterminds, coaching programs, products, services, to your email list, to your community, to the highest quality people. Building audiences is key here. And my goal is this with my group. I don't really want it to be a group where I'm just selling content to people. I want it to be about growing. I want it to be about engaging and I want others to help people grow and engage. I don't want to be the only one speaking in there. I want people to even go live in the group and share their breakthroughs, what they're learning in the group. Okay? And through that I believe we can grow. But I am going to have opportunities here coming up in the future for mentorship, for masterminds, for coaching. I have consulting and coaching on my website already and if that's something that you guys are interested in, let me know as well. You know, shoot me a message. I, you know, we can, we can work something out as well. And, and I want to help people get to the, the next level. I believe that everything that is stopping you from reaching your goals, from accomplishing what you know, that you're supposed to do for your destiny, can be solved by decisions, choices and actions that you make. And so when you break it down to that level, if you learn how to do that, I'm helping teach you through this podcast. Like I said, this is only episode six. This is the like two days since we started this group. If you stick with this, if you follow this, if you stay in this group, guys, I'm going to keep growing. If you have any questions, leave them below. I want to, I want to answer your questions. I want to engage with whoever's watching this right now, here in just a little bit. I want to help you succeed and I want to help you grow. That is the goal of this podcast and of the community is to help People grow and reach their goals. And I believe that getting good at video and getting and practicing and then creating content. And I gave you a little bit of a hint of how to. If you can piece that together with the Facebook Ads Manager, if you're familiar with it, and you can build audiences that you can then target to and retarget. Retarget your content to the people that already engaged with your content on video and then build audiences of lookalikes of their friends and people that are following you because Facebook allows you to do friends of people that follow your page, stuff like that, or look alikes of your page followers or look alikes of those that have watched videos or engaged with your content. I like to do 180 days of people that look like those that have engaged with my page. That's the first baseline of very easy. You get at least a hundred people to engage with your page very quickly just by creating consistent content and then asking people to share it, to tag their friends to engage, to start a conversation and they will tell you how to create the content. And then what I did was I created this group. Here's my goal is I want to know, I want to know from you in the group and go to the group and post in there what you want to hear me teach on, talk about, leave a comment. Because I want to create the best content. What I want to do is I basically want to be like, I want to be a resource where you can say, where you're like, I want to learn how to do this in my business. You post it in the group and I will be a resource. Think of it like, you know, Google that, that does research for you and then creates a whole teaching. I want to be a resource for you to be able to teach you how to do everything that you need to do to grow your life and grow in your business. Tips, tricks, tools, techniques, strategies. And we'll do this in a group setting because then you can also help other people do it at the same time or get input from your peers that are in the group. And so that's why that group exists is it's, it's a way. Now, now that I've done this content consistently and I kind of know what people want to hear from me, where I'm going, where I'm headed. I have a gauge, I have a, I have a, a path. I was kind of doing some feelers a little bit for the past two months, kind of more of a wide feelers. And I'm honed in on where I'm supposed to go what I'm doing. And now I'm honing it in even deeper with the group, with the content, with the lives, with the questions I'm asking. You know, I'm asking questions on my social media, you know, where, where, where are you struggling the most with xyz. What? And start to ask those questions. This is a conversation. This is a dialogue. And on video, you have to understand this. This. The person on the other side of this camera here, the person right here. For those of you that are watching this live, you are a real person right now that is watching this. You. If you pinch your skin, you can feel it. But. And you're listening to me, okay? You are just as real on the other side of that as I am. And you have to understand that when you are doing video, when you are doing a video recording, there is a real human being, an individual that is on the other side of that, that camera that you are talking to, that you are speaking to. And so do your videos from the perspective of speaking to the individual, not just the masses. And right now, I'm talking to the individual that's watching this. I'm talking to you right now that's watching this. Personally, I'm talking to you as if we're. As if we're having a conversation, as if we are in the room together, as if we're on a FaceTime one on one. And if you speak from that perspective and you make your goal how to help somebody, not just how to sell your product or service, you can then start to discover what content to create, what is going to help people and how to help people succeed. And your audience will start to tell you that they'll start to engage with you if you listen and you start to ask the right questions and then you get over that fear and you start to press that record button and you practice and you make more video content. And so what I want to challenge you is this. Start doing one video a day, whether you post it or not. This is the first step of this. Do one video a day. If you can do that, you can go live and then start doing a live video every single day on your profile. Okay? And you can post in the comments of this post in the group as well. On the about the podcast in the Grow youw Life group. Go find the post in the group about this and post your live video in the comments as well. I want to. I want to help you guys grow and even share with the community what you're doing, what your Content is and get feedback of ways that you can improve. I believe that if we band together, we can actually reduce the bandwidth and the time that it takes us to grow by combining a meeting of the minds of all of us together to grow together. And that's why that group exists. That's why I built this podcast. That's why I created that community is for us to help each other together, for you to connect with somebody else that you may never have talked to, to then help each other grow. That's why that exists. It's a microcosm. It's a community of fellowship and discipleship. Basically, if you're thinking in church realms, I created a. It's not a church, it's just, it's a community. And we're able to fellowship with each other by talking, engaging, and then the discipleship is education. I'm able to inform you, educate you on how to reach your goals and grow your life in a business setting. Because, you know, there's, there's so many like great communities and churches. I'm creating a microcosm of that in the business realm to help people grow. And so here's the deal. Go live, record that, Leave it in the comments of this post in the group. Either this one that I'm doing live right now or when I post the podcast, you're listening to it later. Go find the post about this podcast and post that in the comments and get some feedback from people. Go live every day, do a video, and maybe even do a short two minute video as well. So that's two videos a day on whatever comes to mind, whatever you're thinking of, whatever. And then start to hone in on what do people want to hear, what are they engaging with the most, what questions are they asking me, what questions do people always ask me for my input on what can I speak into and offer to people, or what do I just want to talk about? You know, if you have a product or service that you're selling, create a video on the supporting topics, ideas and beliefs that surround your product. And then your product basically becomes the answer that you can then sell people on. So for instance, if you are selling people on, you know, the differences of Roku versus Apple tv, I'm going to actually talk about content with people on why these smart TV devices are a necessity in the modern home. And then I will sell you on which one that I think is best. And if I'm, you know, the CEO of Roku, I'm going to tell you only about Roku. If I'm a reviewer and have affiliate products. You get this, you can start to create content about two products that are on Amazon. Book reviews, for instance, Amazon Associates. Super simple to sign up for, unless you're in the state of Missouri for some reason. Get a mailbox in Kansas or an LLC in Kansas or Chicago or something. I had somebody that actually had that problem. So that's why I'm saying that she actually couldn't do it because she lived in Missouri. So you start to review it, you start to talk about the topic. You start to talk about what it is that you're creating content for what it is that you are selling or promoting. And if you're using affiliate products, you can use affiliate products to actually learn how to do this. I sold, I think, a couple hundred backpacks by doing an unboxing of a laptop that I bought, talking about the features of the laptop. And then at the end of it, I told everybody to go buy a backpack that the laptop would fit in. So the video wasn't about the backpack, it was about the laptop. But I knew that anybody that watching that laptop probably wanted a backpack that would fit that laptop. So my content on the laptop then sold the backpack because it was supporting the belief system, ideals, and activities of somebody who would buy that backpack. There you go. And I used an Amazon affiliate link for that. I did Amazon affiliate links for some more technical, like mouses and keyboards for. For the laptop as well, by doing videos on the laptop. And then I mentioned that. So it's almost like you're able to support what you're talking about, do this and practice it and get good at it. Here's the other thing. I've seen people, they won't go live on video because they're like, I have so much I want to talk about. I just don't want to talk about the wrong thing. And they get scared to talk about the wrong thing. And then you don't go live on video and you don't talk about it. You don't even make content because you're afraid of messing it up. You're afraid of possibly jumping the gun wrong. Or maybe you're giving content that's going to build your audience in the wrong way. You need to get over that fear and you need to just start making video. You need to start talking on it. In 2019, video is where business is and where it's growing. With the changes to. To the Facebook app, video is now prioritized above most other pieces of content because there is literally, there's a button at the top with the Facebook watch button. If you go on the Facebook app, you'll see it next to the groups icon. And if you follow my page, you'll see my little face there. And you can go watch my videos that are on my page that I create every single day. And I'm going live every single day because I'm staying in front of people, I'm staying relevant and I'm staying in front of their eyeballs every single day. And then I'm using advertisements to start to build and grow my audience to them. When I have products to offer. I literally don't even have a product to sell right now at the time of this recording. I have no product to sell anybody other than consulting, other than coaching, which I'm doing as well for people. And that's what, that's what's paying my bills right now is consulting and coaching clients that I built up over the last year. We have eight different companies that we manage Facebook ads for and their marketing and strategy and we work with them and we strategize how to grow and leverage their businesses. These are anywhere from six figures to eight figure businesses that we, that we are consulting and actually seeing results with them as well. And so in that as I'm creating content, I'm building an audience, I'm building an audience based around and then I'm going to start to create products that service the audience that I'm building. So decide a if you have a certain product or service and I need to make another video on this one about picking the right product or service, but if you have a certain product or service, your audience isn't engaging with it, you might even need to change that product. You might need to decide how do I shift that product, how do I change it, how do I do that? But what everybody needs to do right now is you need to learn to make video content. If you're not doing that, you need to start there before you do anything else, before you build a funnel, before you build your landing page, before you build even your website. You need to start making video content on your Facebook and Instagram every single day and get really clear at your messaging. Because then when you can start to get really clear at your messaging on those live platforms, then you can upgrade it to doing. Let's say there's a topic that everybody's really engaging about. Here's a clue here. I created three or four videos about content creation and about videos and those were got the most rave reviews from people. So now I know I should talk about this for 45 minutes on a podcast. So that's what I'm doing is now I'm recording a podcast. A, this is a 45 minute podcast. I'm going to close it out here in a little bit. A 45 minute podcast here. And if anybody has any questions that are on the feed here, I know somebody was asking. I, I see a couple here. Ryan says, this is like Rush Limbaugh. I have this camera right here. This is my desk right there. I'm going live right there. So I'm able to actually, actually answer people's questions on here while I go live in my group. And then Jeremy says, like Joe Rogan, maybe have two beers if that's what you want to do. You know, I, I would try to come up with content without having to, to have beer, but if that, if that, if you want to do that, go ahead. You know, if that helps take some of the edge off, just, you know, don't become dependent on that for your content. I found that if we can start to cultivate this in our minds, we start to practice what it would be like to be good on video, to be a good orator, to be a good speaker, teacher, podcaster. What you're doing is you are practicing what somebody who is do, is successful at. What you are wanting to do would do in a safe environment. By going live on video and doing this and then using video, let's say you're like, well, what I offer is, you know, wouldn't benefit from video. It's web design services. I beg to differ. Find somebody to do video and talk about the benefits of why everybody needs a website. Talk about the benef, talk about, you know, the different features, educate people, inform people, and then you become the solution, the trusted solution for that. Let's say that you are a, a Bible institute, for instance, that one of my clients is a, is a Bible institute. Create content around the Christian, walk around, growing around, growth around that. And then the answer to that is come and come to our institute. Find a face, a figurehead. If that's not you, find somebody to carry the vision and the message on video. But I would recommend, if you're a solopreneur, solo entrepreneur, then you have to get good at video and practice and do the activities that somebody who is successful would do by recording yourself every single day, whether you're putting it out there or not publicly. But like I said, you gotta upgrade out of the sandbox of deleting the video after you record it and go live at some point or put it public graduate to a grown up. If you do that, you will start to begin to do the activities of somebody who is successful in your industry in 2019. And then you will start to see how you can then leverage that to speak to your audience, speak to what their needs are, their pain points and help them grow in what they're doing. So Beth says, I am a brick and mortar. I'm going to use video to teach people how to select correct flooring for their home and office. That's amazing. Now check this out. Beth, this is awesome. This is why I wanted to have people leave this comments. Here is this Wanna know what else you could create content on? She does a brick and moring flooring store. You could talk about the emotion that flooring does, how different types of flooring will create one look versus another and your perception of their home or office, or how you might have different emotions in different rooms. You could talk about how different materials affect people in different ways. You could talk about allergens, material, you know, how low quality versus high quality, how you know, maybe some of the technology behind flooring. So now you just had five to ten different pieces of content that you could create for your brick and mortar that's about flooring, that now you become the trusted source to answer that. When they need flooring, they will come to your brick and mortar store in your town. And then you can start to target that with ads, especially if you're a brick and mortar to the local people within 10 to 20 miles of your location, 10 to 20 miles of your location. And if you're like, who is he talking to? I'm talking to. I have this, this video here from my Facebook group. I'm gonna, I'm gonna start to do this where I'm gonna go live in the group while I record the podcast and take questions from people. If you start to target that in the local area, it's a lot cheaper than targeting the whole country as a whole. So then you could start to target people that are in your local area that are A, engaging with your content. But B, you know, maybe people in the local area that follow pages like Office Max, Aweber, Home Companies, Home Decor, hgtv, different followers in your local area of those pages. Then you start to create an audience of who's watching your content in the local area, who gets to a certain point of your content. And then you can create a lookalike audience of people who are probably very likely in the market to buy flooring. From you. And so right there, you were able to. You could leverage probably $100 in Facebook ads to do that, to create those audiences with pieces of content every single day for a brick and mortar, you know, maybe you could even do every other day. You know, you don't always have to do every single day. You could do every other day. I think every single day really does help keep you in the forefront and as a trusted resource for people. You know, start to talk about maybe some of the different things that you offer in the store, look at all the different offerings that you do that you help people with, and then talk about why people might need those things. Or here's the other deal. If it's about people that are building their home, you could actually create topics to help people in other aspects of the home and office building development and interior design industry that you may not even sell products in. And then you can start to identify what are some new products that you could sell to people. So social media and video becomes this way, actually growing your business faster than you could before because you're able to get immediate feedback from people. And so that's great. That's great feedback right there. That's some examples of how you can use video to grow your business, to grow your life. And I want you to start to come up with ideas. I want you to also go on my Facebook page, go in the group. If you got to this point in the video, 53 minutes in, and you're like, okay, this is my product. This is my service, is my industry. I don't know what to make content about. Leave me a comment, and I'm. I'm gonna answer you. I might probably even record a little video and answer you about that how I just did with Beth, just here for her, her brick and mortar flooring store. Everybody has a house. Everybody knows somebody. They either go to an office or they know somebody in an office that's doing flooring. So how many customers are in her city? Almost everybody is a potential customer of yours, Beth. Everybody that lives in your town, everybody that lives within an hour of you is a potential customer of yours. If you know how to serve them, maybe in even other ways that you don't sell a product in. If they learn to trust you and what you're selling and offering and teaching, then they will come to you when it's time for flooring. And so that's how you can create video content to service whatever business it is that you're doing. And if you want to grow your life, if you want to build a movement, build a following. You're going to start to educate people on what it is that will help them either support them in what their interests are. So there's even sub interests of sub interests if somebody is wanting to. This is great. This is, this is great right here. This is, this is why I created that community, you guys. And as we do this, I'm unlocking even parts of my brain to come up with new content to teach you. I have a whole nother five videos that I want to create. Now off of that one comment from Beth in the group, that one comment, I just came up with five to ten different pieces of content right there that I just thought of how I could help people. For instance, let's say that you are the, the owner of Roku. You're selling television, smart TV equipment. You could create content about why you need fast Internet, why you know how to get faster video service in rural areas, things like that. So you'll talk about supporting topics, you know, maybe how to set up your room for the best viewing of television. And then, you know, you sell a product. So everybody, every industry, every product could, can do this. You know, there's, there's no limits to this. I'm so excited and I just want to help everybody learn how to get good at video. Because if you can get good at video, you can grow a business. I truly believe that and even more than a, than a website. And that's why I'm excited. This, this podcast right here, when you get good at video, then you can start to know what to put on your website. And you know, you can buy my course Website Building Made Easy, which is coming out here in the next week or so. Learn how to build that with Squarespace within a week. And now you know how to sell to people online. You know, with E Commerce, you know, you could, you can leverage now that traffic that's coming in for your brick and mortar. Get leads for your brick and mortar store on your website from the people that watch your video. You know, have them call a phone number or fill out a form to have you come out to the brick and mortar to put flooring in or get a quote. Now that's why, you know, someone like Beth would need a website right there. So that's why my website building course exists. And so here's the deal, you guys. You need to get good at video. This is the foundation of everything else that I believe people need if they are growing a business specifically, is to get good at video, but also I think this is going to help people in their personal life because I think a lot of times, a lot of people, some of our, our challenges in our personal life stem from a lack of an ability to be good at communication with each other as people. And so if you start to do video, maybe even just, just do a personal podcast about what you're interested in and start to learn how to get good at video, nowadays, especially if you're an employee, even creating video content on a topic that you are a, you are now showing potential employers your expertise in the industry that they are employing you in. For instance, Beth, if you found a young guy that was making content on flooring and was an expert at it, he's not wanting to build a business, but he's trying to get a job with you, you would probably hire that person a lot quicker if they showed you that than somebody that knows nothing about the industry. So you are able to, even if you don't have a business, grow in your personal life by getting good at video, create a YouTube channel, create content on that YouTube channel, create content on Instagram, on what you're passionate about, about the industry that you're passionate about. Let's say you're a mechanic. Talk about ways that people can, can, can, can, can learn how to choose the right products versus another or get a better oil change or how to find better customer service. There's so many ways that getting good at video and talking and communicating can help us grow in our personal life and in our businesses. And if you're building a business, okay, to grow your personal life and expand your reach, expand your influence and territory, you have to increase your revenue and sales and get more customers. You can open more, more brick and mortar stores maybe in different cities. If you, if you, if you just exploded in one area, you can hire more people and you're able to do that. And that's how you're able to then grow your life, grow your influence and, and increase your revenue. Whatever goals you have, whatever you're A, called to do and B, whatever you have your hand at right now, whatever you're grinding in right now, whatever you are focused on right now, if you get your mindset right and you start to do certain activities that are leveraged towards that growth, heading towards your goals, not away from them from the past, you will start to see results. So I hope this helps you guys, I hope this helps everybody who's watching this, this podcast here, we've gone on for about an hour here about creating video content. And if you're just tuning in in the Facebook group. I went live here, I took some questions and I did even some coaching with Beth here on this video. This podcast will be up on Monday. It's about how people can get really good at video, get over their fears of video, as well as how to come up with what content they need to, whether they are just an employee, an entrepreneur, an employee preneur, or even a personality. If you're wanting to build a podcast, how to come up with content, we covered a lot here that I think is going to help people and also how to build audiences as well. And so watch back through this video. Watch the podcast. Leave me a comment in the group. If you're not in the grow your life community and you're listening to this, go on Facebook, type in growyourlife community, leave a comment about, you know what you need help with what you might have a question on, and I'll help coach you through this. And even people in the group as well. I invite other people in the group to give your input, give some ideas. I want us to leverage our ideation and our and our knowledge and help each other grow through this. You know, you might be somebody that works in accounting, but you might have an idea for somebody in a flooring industry in the group and you could help them by leaving a comment. And so that's what this. That's why this community exists as well. Every single day on my Instagram, I haven't told anybody this. Now I got three people that know this in the group. Every single day I do a giveaway. Sorry. Every single week. Every single week I do a giveaway. I messed that up like on the last podcast too. I think I said something. Every single week, I pick one person within 10 minutes of me posting on Instagram. If you leave, hashtag grow your life at the end at on my post on Instagram, I will pick one person each week, limited to one person per month from my Instagram. That leaves grow your life in the comments within the first 10 minutes of me posting on Instagram. And I will pick one winner for different things. You know, it might even be like anywhere from a Starbucks gift card to coaching sessions. We'll even maybe talk about that. Maybe it's like, you know, 15 minutes on the phone with me or, or when I start to do guests, different giveaways like that, it's going to be gonna be different, but just leave those in there. I will pick somebody randomly every single week, do a giveaway. Nobody has done it yet, so Your chances of winning are about 100% right now. If one person does that, when I post on Instagram, Whether it's Instagram TV, you need to leave a post within 10 minutes of me posting. I'll pick one person every single week to win that giveaway. So here's my encouragement to you. I know that you can grow your life. I know that you can improve your situation. Everything that you wanted to do and your breakthrough is on the opposite side of anything that you fear. And when you get past those fears and you become educated and you learn how to do the things that you need to do to grow your life and grow your business, and you make decisions and take action to go towards your destiny, you can accomplish anything. And you create. You begin to create infinite possibilities for your life, and you start to step into those possibilities and they start to manifest in front of you. Nothing manifests just by saying it without also applying action to it. And so for you, if you have a goal, something that you know that you're called to do, for you to accomplish it, you have to create a plan, you have to make a decision, and then you have to take action. And that's how you start to create possibilities for yourself that didn't exist previously. And then in that, you're able to grow your life, grow your future, expand your territory, expand your reach and your influence. And I believe that if you can grow your life in business and your personal life, they help each other. If you grow in business, you're growing economically, and you can do more with what's been given to you, with the time that you've been given. And so that's what this is for. That's what the community is for. And I want to just tell you, you can do it. I know you can. I know that you can, because I have seen people do it just like you that thought that they couldn't get anywhere, that they thought they couldn't get any traction, that thought that they. That their business, niche, industry, or people like them couldn't succeed. And they did great things for themselves. So I want to say that I believe in you. And this is not just an ethereal thing. I'm here for you in the group, the Grow youw Life community. The group is there, the community is there. And we're going to grow together. Grow your life, grow your business. Make sure you subscribe to the podcast and share it with one person, two people this week. Tell some people about it. It's the only thing that I ask for you of this group and of this podcast. If this affected you and helped you share it with somebody, okay, that's it. It's my only ask. This is free content that I'm giving. I'm giving high level coaching on my podcast, on my Facebook page, and in the group that normally at this level would be a paid coaching program. I'm doing it for free for you. And all I ask is to share it with some people so we can get more people in this and we can all grow together. All right, everybody, let's grow your life and we will talk soon. Soon. Have a good one, everybody.
