Thanks for listening to the Grow youw Life podcast. My name is Jeremiah Krakowski. On this podcast, we talk about ways for you to grow in your life and in your business. Strategies to get more results, make more money, and go after your dreams, make a multiple six figure income. Now on this episode, I want to take what I had in my Facebook group this week in the Grow youw Life community, where we had people live in a room. I taught a lesson in there about leading and working through, becoming a powerful leader, and strategies to help you get more results. Now, I want to preface it with this. Every one of you is a leader. You are leading people. You might be saying, well, I'm selling a product. No, you're leading another human being to a solution to a problem that they have, helping them get unstuck, clearing their health, their face, their hair. This is a problem they have. Every product that we sell is solving problems. And so this is marketing, is leading people to take action. And so I break this whole thing down in this lesson that I taught, which is gonna help you sell more, which is gonna help you get more sales, which is gonna help you get more customers, and ultimately lead yourself powerfully to get more results. So we're gonna dive right into that now. Everybody who is on this is called to lead people. They were made and born to lead people, and their life has actually prepared them up to that point. And there's a number of different ways that we lead people. And I wrote them down right here. We help them get unstuck with issues, struggling with, find their voice when they have no voice, unlock out of the chains that they might be held back with. Even prisons of anxiety, fear. It could be depression, could be their diet, could be just a bad hair routine, you know? Totally. That's not just a bad hair routine. That changes their life. It changes their life. And so we get them unstuck out of these tough situations and point people to the truth and activate them in what is possible. We are activating people to do and live their life at the fullest possibility of what they were made for, the way that we did it ourselves. By taking what we know and saying, listen, I've unlocked the chains from my life in this area, and you can too. Doing what I did. Oh, and by the way, this is how I did it. And it could be a product that we sell. It could be a training, a coaching, a system, a whatever that is in different areas. It still is this thing. We're leading people to a better place than they were before they came in. Contact with us, a promised land quote, unquote. And that because the people that I attract don't sell crap or scammy products that take advantage of people. They don't sell things that don't work. And so if you're watching this, you're somebody that is promoting and pushing things out there that get results for people. Your marketing is leading people to something that is going to make their life better than when they found you. And there's a quote that I got from a friend of mine the other day. Day, his name's Rick Pino. And he told me, insecure leaders can't call out the greatness in other people because they're trying to get the people they lead to call their greatness out. And so they're trying to get validated by everybody that they're working with and talking to of whether they're good or not in these situations. So, Alicia, there's a bunch of bad background noise. It looks like I can't mute. Sorry, I just walked through the door. Perfect. No worries. So one of the biggest things is that we have to find what are these areas? And we don't want to admit it either, right? We don't want to admit that we're insecure about something because that makes us look bad to others. In fact, it's not a good thing to go out there and say, hey, I'm all insecure about this, so that's why you should buy from me. That's really not a healthy thing. But when we're honest with ourselves and with people that we have that are safe people in our lives to say, hey, listen, I am struggling in this area, I am struggling so hard in this area, and start asking hard questions. One of the biggest things that I started to do is asking people that I work with that I lead, and leaders that I've worked with, I said, what's the number one thing that you see in me that I could change in myself to lead better? That would help you understand things. And you know what all of them said was, every time you talk, Jeremiah, I'm going to be real honest here. They say it's very high level because I feel like you're trying to prove to me that you know what you're doing. And so I was like, oh, that hurt. That was like, oh, no, you're right. That's absolutely true. As I felt for so long like I had to prove to people that I know what to do, even though I've done it before. And so hearing that kind of criticism Unlocked something where I was like, okay, that's a different perspective. And instead of being defensive when I'm working with people, I can come at it from a place of mentorship and leadership, similar to how you would look at. It's interesting because a lot of the people that I lead and work with are older than me, so this is hard for me to say, but it's like almost like a father or mother would in the area of marketing and sales, to where I'm comforting, helping people when they skin their knee and mess up and get back up again to do the thing that's going to get them results. And so what I want to pass on to you today is it's the same for you in whatever your area is that you're leading people in is it starts with our perception of how we see ourselves as somebody that can be comforting, compassionate for what people are going through, and we can lead them to the result that they're going to get. So, for instance, if we're selling a product, how do we do that? Well, we end up validating the mistakes that they're making, saying, hey, listen, you're making this mistake. And it's okay because I used to make that mistake too. Instead of going at it and saying, hey, your mistake is bad, you're bad. You need to change it. Otherwise you're going to get a result that doesn't work with people. But when we can say, hey, listen, I made this same mistake, and I was having the same struggles you were. And now this is how I got from here to here that you tell me that you want to get to. And so that's what it is. And whatever we're offering, whatever we're selling people, we're leading people to the path, the next step to take. And that's really as kind of as far as I got on this. I've been unpacking this myself this week. As far as just challenging myself, how am I helping people by showing them the challenges that I've had that I've struggled with. One of the biggest ones is I don't think a lot of people know this. I was terrified to do video for so long. Like, mortified to hop on video. Probably about six years ago, I was doing some videos with my mom. Some of the arctv episodes. Those first ones, I was sweating bullets because I was terrified to press that record button. I didn't think I had a single word to say to people. Two years ago, when I started making content, some of the early videos, I would end up hyperventilating before I pressed record because I was literally scared out of my mind to even put out there what was inside of me. And so I know it looks like I'm super confident on video. I am now. But it only came from walking through that scary place and saying, you know what? I know what video does because I've seen it happen with so many people, and I've helped so many people with video and even taught and mentored leaders on how to use video that I need to lead myself to get to this place and then help lead others. And so that's one of the biggest ways that we can have an impact when we're on video, people, face to face, they get to hear our heart. They get to hear the message. They get to experience and understand what the. What the truth is as. As if we're alongside them. It's in a digital realm, but it feels very real.
I mean, you were just talking about that. I was just listening to your podcast the other day of Making a Habit. I was trying to look for it.
I was like.
I just listened to it and Making a habit of courageous action. And you talked a lot about how you were afraid of the video, and.
Yeah, I was just.
When I work at you, like, just go for it, you know, gonna mess up and.
Yep.
You know, gotta make adjustments, but do what you gotta do.
Absolutely. And so one of the biggest things is I wrote this down. Fear can't lead. It can try and look like it can. It can pretend and play pretend. It can maybe figure out a strategy that might convince people that it can lead. But ultimately, it's not really leadership. It's more control. And so fear controls people to do things. We try to tell people, oh, this is what you need to do, otherwise you're gonna get hurt. That's truth. Absolutely. We have to lead with truth. But if we're leading as leaders of. I'm afraid of what they think about me. That's what I'm talking about. If we're projecting the fear of what our audience thinks out there, it'll come across because they're gonna be able to sense that. And then they're gonna say, wait, are you leading me into something that I should be afraid of? It comes across as we don't even believe in what we're doing. And I. And I had a struggle with this for. For a while, where I had a lot of people tell me, jeremiah, you look like you don't believe the words that are coming out of your mouth.
Wow.
And that really hurt me. I let it hurt me, and it was because it was resonating with what I knew was true inside of me, but I was avoiding, avoiding admitting that that was true, that I actually didn't even fully believe the words that were coming out of my mouth. And then people are like, wait, so that means, are you lying? Well, no, I know that they're true, but I'm not walking it out in my life to experience it fully. And so I had to come to face to face with that, of, okay, why is this? Well, because there were these fears of if I became successful, what the responsibility would be. And so there was a fear inside of me. If I help other people, what will happen? What does that mean about me? And then what's my responsibility on the next step? So I better prepare for the pain that I'm going to experience by avoiding it. It's. It's this whole like, okay, I'm gonna. I'm gonna get myself so amped up and anxious about what hasn't happened yet, so that if it does happen, at least I'm ahead of this. One step ahead. And so in doing that, I found that I was looking for having a slight edge advantage of it over everything in every single situation that I was in, trying to make sure that nobody could one up me in any situation. And that comes across as inauthentic and disingenuous, especially when you're helping people. When you're selling, it's like, well, what's up his sleeve? What is he trying to do now? I knew that what I have to offer people is helping them, that it's getting them a result, that it was leading them to the right place. But what I was projecting was the wrong energy. So it was a projection of the belief that I didn't have. And people were picking up on what I wasn't saying, more than what I was. And that's where there was a disability. Connect. And so this is. This is why for all of us to lead, to go after our goals, to run Facebook ads, to write sales copy, to create offers online, to get customers. We, our energy comes across by the way that we craft those words based on our own personal beliefs. And I made a post this morning that I think got a little misunderstood. It said, your beliefs might be broken, but you're not. And what I meant was not saying that your beliefs are broken, but oftentimes we do have these beliefs that came in from experience that they aren't serving us to the next step that we're called to go. And so we're relying on the old pattern. And so we have to replace that with what the truth is when we discover it. And then we can step into that area. We can step into the truth, which is different than the, the place that we came out of. And that breaks us free from the prison of our own thoughts, our own mind, our own fear, our own worry. And then we can help others. Because oftentimes I think a lot of us that are on this call, the stuff that we lead people to, they might be scared to do because we're asking them to do something that they've never done before. And last time they tried it, it didn't work very well. And so if we can help ease somebody's pain, you see, sometimes when somebody comes across as skeptical, we can take that as they are defensive and combating, and then we end up defending what we do right back to them. They are. The compassionate side is, oh, this person has probably been through the wringer before. They've been through some tough stuff. How can I help show them that this isn't going to be like last time? How can I help show them that this is going to be the solution that they're looking for? And this part right here, this is the part that can be used for good or bad, is if you help somebody believe that it's going to be different than it was before. If it's for something bad, you're gonna lead people to a dark place. If it's for good, you're gonna be able to lead them to the light place. And that's kind of more the amoral splitting point of what becomes revealed is what's really in your heart. If you're trying to help people, you can come across in this authentic way that helps point them to that next step by helping shift those beliefs, by shifting those patterns. But we have to do so in a way that is incremental and step by step, step. This same methodology, unfortunately I've studied this a lot, is the way that people use that is not. It's not. It's not healthy because it's getting people to agree to do something that is not good for them. And so what we have to do is know that we're in the right heart position, that we're not coming at this from a place of we're trying to take advantage of people. And oftentimes we end up defending ourselves because we're like, well, I don't want to look like I'm taking advantage of somebody. So we swing so far to the other direction that people won't think that. That it then comes across as disingenuous. Okay, so the way that that works is we have this projection that I don't want to appear like this. So I'm going to act in this way, which is not authentic to me, to try to get people to buy into this. And that's actually manipulation. That's actually people pleasing. We're actually misleading people to what we really have. And so that's why it's better to just come out the gates with who you really are to people. Not try to pretend like you're somebody that you're not. Not need to try to fit and mold yourself into the version of yourself that people need you to be, to be palatable.
