Hi, everybody. How's it going? This is Jeremiah Krakowski here. And today's format is going to be a little different. It's going to be more of a conversation. And I'm going to start trying this format of podcast. Let me know if you like it in the GrowYourLife community, where it's pretty much just you and I sitting across from each other or listening, having a conversation. Now, I've been having a number of coaching calls with my one on one clients this week about how they can strategically talk with and reach their target customer. Not through ads, but rather what I mean is the words that they say, the things that they post, what goes up that's gonna get the most response, the most results, the most sales in their business. And your advertising, your marketing, your offers, all of that are really based on the words that you say. This both verbally and, and written, those dictate if people are going to buy from you on every page, every email, every post, all of that. And so what I want to do for you is help bring some clarity on what those right things to say are, what those right things to say on social media are, and on your emails and your landing pages and your phone calls and your videos and your content and all of that type of stuff. So, like, think about that is when you're creating content, when you're communicating with your target customer, how are you connecting with them on a deep level? How are you connecting with them to the point that they feel like you are having an intimate conversation with them? Kind of like this one, kind of like you and I. This is why I actually decided to maybe change the format of this. I realized that I need to make this a little more like my coaching calls, a little more relaxed, a little less preachy, and a little more, let's just have a conversation. And so I think that's really gonna work out. This is based off of what I've had conversations with these one on one clients with. And I know that a lot of my one on one clients also listen to these calls. So this is going to be a continuation of what we've been coaching on to help you maximize your skill sets. And one of the number one things that most people neglect is getting feedback from their target audience. And I hear it often from people that they believe that getting feedback would be a waste of time because they would be so focused on other people, not themselves, to get sales. Now there's truth to that, right? If we're so focused on others, we are not going to be focused on the actions that we are taking in business though, you got to flip it. Got to absolutely flip it. You need to become absolutely obsessed with your target customer. Everything about them, their life, what drives them, what keeps them up at night, what their goals are, their needs, their desires, how they communicate, how they learn best, how they listen best, and what they are looking for the most. Okay, now you might be really good at doing that, but where I see that a lot of people still struggle is systematizing this in a way, using all of these different tools of the Internet, their website, their email, their social media, their offers, their copywriting, their ads. Okay, so I'm going to specifically kind of dive into that and how all of that works together. What you're wanting to do is cultivate and nurture relationship with real human beings that are just like you, that are at a place to be prepared, to come into your fold, to step into the space that you're at. Think of it like they're walking through the front door of a store. As soon as they interact with an ad, with your content, with all of that, it's a conversation. But we have to first know how to cultivate those conversations the right way. And so you're not going to be able to even create those conversations without the right way to say things and the right way to discover the words that people need. What you're gonna do is you're gonna mirror back to people the energy that you have. The energy that they have, you're actually gonna mirror it back to them. Realized. A lot of my target customers are. They're very savvy. They actually have really good mindset. They actually are really focused on things. But when it comes to their discipline and what to do and the choices to make, that's where they might falter in certain areas, but they have very disciplined and excellent at other areas of their life. And so if that's you, and I'm assuming if you're listening to this, that probably is you, you're probably really skilled at a lot of different things. You a lot of success in different areas. But when it comes to this thing of communicating and reaching your target customer to get them to buy from you online, that's where you. You're struggling. And so that's, that's the lane that any of my podcasts, my conversations are going to come from. From now on, all of my products and services are going to be focused on that specific area. And I might bring in some of that mindset, some of that belief. Big one right here is if you, if you're somebody that's super ultra critical of yourself, you don't believe in yourself fully, you don't fully accept yourself as you are, you're gonna project that into everything that you put out there on social media. And many times that can come in when we don't feel confident about what to do. So that's why, if I can help you kind of bridge that gap, raise your confidence level in what to do, what works, we're gonna have a really good time together. And so are you. Okay, so are your clients. So you have to become obsessed with your target customer. You have to become obsessed with what drives them. How do you do this? How do you discover that? Well, you do so by asking questions. You do so by immersing yourself in the world of your target customer to ask them the specific questions, to hear the language of how they're thinking. Now, how do you do that if you don't have a following? Well, conversations with people. Where does your target customer hang out? What Facebook groups are they in? What forums are they on? Are they on Twitter, are they on Instagram? And I find this often happens, especially when people kind of struggle with this area is they're wanting to use social media to reach their target customer, but they don't use social media that much themselves because they're very focused, very disciplined. And so I find this kind of disproportionate level of the people that use social media a lot and are kind of addicted to it, really know how to communicate in a better way. But they have to shift their perspective to stay more focused and disciplined. The ones that don't use social media as much are very focused and disciplined, but they may not know how to say the right things. And so either side is we have to get focused in our actions and our activities. In every single conversation, interaction that you're having on social media in a Facebook group online has some way of you discovering and learning what you don't know about your target customer, about what they're going through, about what their life is dealing with. If you start your own Facebook group and an email list, that is a great way to learn that, to get that feedback, because people are going to tell you what it is that they're struggling with. And here's another kind of flip side of this is we have to know the struggles of our target customer in the beginning. You know, if we're struggling to even get results, we're struggling to get our ads working and our opt in offers and to get customers we're so focused on our own problems that we're not even looking at what somebody else's problems are. And so you gotta flip it. You do have to absolutely flip it and focus on what are the major problems that your target customer has and devote most of your time on social media to discovering what those problems are. Okay, so all of your interactions, whether they are in comments, whether they're in groups, whether they're on forums, even books that you read, even reviews and communities that you're in, you're wanting to find the people that are like your target customer. And in the beginning, by the way, your target customer is actually probably going to be very similar to you in certain ways. I'm looking at a list of all my customers that I work with. One on one. I actually have their names right here on my screen. And it keeps me focused on who my audience is, who I'm talking to. And I keep that in my mind. If I can communicate, I imagine there's about, you know, 40 people here that are on this list, that if they're just sitting right in front of me in a room, right, we're in a room together. If I was talking to all of them, what would I say? And so that's what this is that I'm saying right now. And so for you, when you can get to that place where you know who you're talking to and all of your communication is to that one specific person. Now, how do you do this? Well, like I said, There's 40 people on this list here, but they all share certain patterns and similarities. And so whenever I make content, whenever I make a post, whenever I do that, I'm always speaking to that pattern and similarity as if it is one person or maybe one to two different people. What is the most common similarities that they all have, what that they all share together, that their goals are. And so for me, talking to that specific person, if I can discover more and more about those specific people, and I do this often by commenting on posts, maybe it's direct message, Twitter, getting in conversations with people that are similar to my target customer, even before they buy from me to learn what they're going through, I can then nurture a relationship with them. I can cultivate a true human to human connection. And this is many times what is missing in people's online experiences, in people's sales and marketing, is that true connection with another human being to where you understand what they're going through. Having empathy is kind of a superpower in this way. Being able to and A strong level of empathy, being able to really feel what another person is going through, being able to feel what they're struggling with and dealing with. When you can do that and you just speak from that position, then you can talk powerfully and confidently. Now, if you're somebody that's very data driven, right? And I have a lot of people on my list that are data driven, that I work with, work with a lot of data driven people, this concept of feeling and empathy might sound a little woo woo or kooky. Let me kind of bring it back to earth for you, okay, how this works and how you can actually use data to do this. Very simply, I want you to think for a second. You probably have friends or family members that you can, you probably finish each other's sentences and you kind of know what they're thinking or at least somewhat can tell, little bit, maybe one to two people in your life, right? So that's what you want to be able to do with your target customer. And the only way that we can do this is getting into more conversations to hear feedback of what they're going through. And so, for instance, on social media, posting questions that are very similar to the types of questions that your target customer would ask in their position is a great way to hear the language that they're using. And many times these questions are not going to be stuff that you're looking for the answer to. You're looking for how your target customer is going to answer it. And that's the data that you can use. You can use that data of the responses to know, okay, where somebody is at and evaluate that in that way. And so let me just give you some. Like an example of this is if you ask a specific question on your social media, you can get a sense for where your target audience is at. Here's a couple of them that I posted recently. What does it take to fund and build a global movement? Why are so many so judgmental and hypercritical of teachers and leaders? So what that does is it actually shows me a common experience. And those are actually coming from myself. I've been hypercritical of leaders and teachers. I've been somebody that wants to fund and build a global movement. And if I can hear from my target customer what their answers are to that, since I've kind of discovered a little bit of what to do in those areas, I can get perspective on something that I didn't know about from somebody else. So if I get the language and the perspective from another person on the reasons why Their experience is different than mine. You see, that's the key. That's the core, is learning the human experience of your target customers, discovering how they experience life. If you can do this, you can then speak from that position of understanding and knowing them. And so then any sort of content that you put out there resonates. It creates a frequency that touches people. And I don't know a lot of the science of that. It's very interesting to me kind of how that quantum physics and stuff works. I find it very interesting, but definitely not an expert on it. I've heard. Also, like the mirror neurons in our brain, when people see language that mirrors the way that they talk on social media, it fires those mirror neurons and we see somebody as part of our tribe or community. Okay? And so what you're doing is you're essentially building your community of people that are a lot like you but have different struggles so that you can help them in areas that you've grown in. For instance, for me, I've grown in this area of communication and connection and utilizing online tools of marketing, advertising, sales, copy websites to get sales for myself and the clients that I coach and work with. And this is the beginning of that process. This is a big part of that process that accelerates that journey is discovering and learning what's going through the mind of my target customer. And if they're not on your social media, then you have to go find them. They're usually in Facebook groups. They're on other people's social media. You can comment on other people's social media, see somebody's comment that they make. Maybe you're wanting to know their perspective on it. Oftentimes you're going to do this really well, especially with people that you disagree with their position on something. And that's an interesting one, is if you're on social media and you see somebody that disagrees that you disagree with their position on something, if you ask a more clarifying question, you can understand their perspective. But be very careful doing this. You can't do that for the purpose of trying to change their mind or get them to believe what you believe. Because if you do that, people will actually shut down and their answers will be very jaded based on reading. They can read your agenda a mile away. Okay? So if you just start to ask questions purely because you just want to learn about people, you can get some clarity and perspective of who your tribe is, who the people that you're supposed to work with are. And this is. This is just basic what's Basic. For some people, right, that are really good at communicating, this is more advanced for more analytical people, more data driven. And one big thing that kind of really comes up, an elephant in the room in this topic is if we are afraid to ask questions for fear of speaking out of line, crossing a boundary, saying something we shouldn't, speaking out of turn, or speaking from a place of lack of knowledge. Okay? So those are kind of the areas that if we're worried about making a mistake that we're going to be judged for, we will stay silent. And oftentimes that prevents people from even discovering the language of their target customer because they don't want to annoy or offend the people that are around them. They don't want to ask certain questions a certain way to bother their target customer. And many times that can come in because when other people ask us questions, we feel bothered. Sometimes, especially if you're somebody that's really smart, has a lot of knowledge, you'll end up having people coming to ask you questions. And then sometimes it gets a little. Gets a little much, right? You gotta set the brakes on it. And boundaries. And what I've noticed is some people are afraid to set boundaries, to say, okay, enough is enough. Right? It's best for us to speak boldly, to not worry about offending people for our. No. There's a great book that I read on this topic. It's called boundaries by Dr. Henry Cloud and John Townsend. And he specifically written for people that struggle to say no and feel guilty and bad when they say no and feel like they constantly have to please other people, constantly have to do what everybody else around them wants them to do to be successful. And so I know that not my whole audience isn't that, but it's. It's a pretty large percentage in some way or another. So that's why I bring that up, is we have to not be afraid to just ask questions, to just ask for help. I know many, many of us it was not safe to ask questions and safe to ask for help growing up. And it was even something that maybe we were shamed for in school or when you ask a question the wrong way, people might try to shame you and say, aren't you a stupid dummy? Like, why'd you ask that? You ever heard that before? It's horrible. People that say that are just. It's a terrible thing to say that they're insecure people. It's plain and simple. It's somebody that's insecure has to put somebody down simply for asking A question. Now, if you're asking a question to debate somebody to prove your point, that's a little different. Okay, so let's be specific about that. But if you're specifically not trying to usurp somebody's authority or put them in their place, but you're rather asking questions to learn to discover what you don't know, I don't think there's any reason that we should be afraid to do that now. There's times we have to be aware, there's timing to this, there's the right timing of when to ask questions, when to put stuff out there. And there's a right timing on social media. And so we have to. Again, I'm going back to that place of empathy, have empathy for other people. Our target customers, what do they experience? What do they go through? What are they experiencing? My target customers like more long, drawn out conversations with details and data and social proof and pathways to do the right thing so that they can discover and be confident what the right thing is. And so I want to tell you this, is that if, if you can work on boundaries, that's a really big one, and nurturing relationship with your community, you will get the right feedback from the right people. In the beginning, when I was building this business, I really struggled to get the right feedback from people. I kept talking to people as if they were people that I had worked for before because that's the only thing that I knew or the people that I had coached before. And that's the only thing that I knew. And so I had to really kind of bring my ego down a little bit and say, you know what, maybe I don't know my target customer that well. And to be honest, I didn't. And now I still, there's so much more for me to discover about my target customer. And now it's exciting. I'm like so excited by that fact. I'm excited to admit to you that I don't fully understand even you that's listening to this podcast. And I would love to know more about what you're going through, what you're struggling with, what you're dealing with, so that I can create content and materials, podcast episodes, content on my social media to help you build your business, have more influence, more customers, more students, more clients in your business than you ever imagined was possible. And so if you're somebody that would like, help with that, if you're somebody that would like assistance with communicating to your target customer, crafting marketing plans what the right choices and decisions to make, are to nurture community. And ultimately, my friends, we can nurture community till the cows come home. But eventually it's got to lead to a sale, right? Eventually you have to reach that level. This is the exact formula that I've helped people reach 6, 7 and 8 figures in their business with for years is using this formula. And that's what I help my clients with on my one on one coaching. And so if you've been considering scheduling a 15 minute call with me, I would love to talk with you.
