Hey, everyone. Thanks for listening to the Grow youw Life podcast. My name is Jeremiah Krakowski. On this podcast, I show you ways to grow in your life, in your business, in your career, to make more money, and to live a bigger life. And you're gonna be able to apply the things that you learn in this podcast, the past episodes and the future episodes, to create results that you never thought were possible for you. That's my goal. That's my mission with this, is to help people go from where they're at to where they want to be, financially, in their relationship, mentally, physically, to accomplish and do the impossible. And so that's where the concept of grow your life comes from. If you're not in the GrowYourLife Facebook group, there's about 1400 people in there that are just like you, that are growing in their life and in their business. And you can ask questions about the stuff that you're dealing with, what you're going through. We also do free live group coaching calls in there. So if you're on my email list, which you can join@Jeremiah Grkowski.com, you'll get emails about those Zoom calls. We had about 10 people on the last one. It was absolutely incredible. It's in the Facebook group. You'll find it in there. It's about sales, and I'm going to take a little bit of what we talked about in that and kind of build upon it in this episode. So I'm excited to share this with you. This is going to affect your marketing, your leadership, your sales, your relationships, your ability just to do more and accomplish more with a framework of letting go, letting go of control. And that concept is often misunderstood. Detaching from the desired outcome that we have in our head, being okay with things not going perfectly how we envisioned them. Which, by the way, this is how you are going to get to those visions. And so that's the dichotomy of this is when you envision a big goal or a dream in your life, something that you want to go after, the only way that you're going to get there is to let go of the need to control how it happens. So we keep the vision up, right? But when things don't go exactly as planned, we're okay with that. And it's because we can't control other people. There's so many unknown factors. If we can accept that, we can actually accelerate our ability to get to where we want to go. And this starts with confidence in ourselves, confidence in our beliefs and what we believe. About ourselves, not needing to prove ourselves to other people, not needing to prove that we are right and they are wrong. Another one is that, you know, I know a lot of my audience has come out of corporate America, corporate environment, or you've had experience in corporate. And so the people that listen to my podcast have that a superpower in corporate is people pleasing, is making sure that everybody agrees with you, making sure that people like you and your confidence comes from what other people say. You get pride in your work by the praise that you get from other people. This is toxic, this is unhealthy. Because then we're relying on everybody else for our confidence. And so when they don't give us what we need, we try to control their response. We're trying to make them agree with us, to validate ourselves. And this is a losing battle. You can't win this way. And so the only thing that's going to help you take bold action in your life, in your business, in your relationships, in your marketing. Listen, I think there's going to be some relationships that are going to come out of this. The courage to go out there, to put yourself out there, to become intimate with somebody for the first time in years. The courage to make friends with people. Some of you need to make some friends. If you consider yourself a lone wolf or a loner, make some friends. The Grow youw Life group is a great place to do that. Now, how does this apply to business? Right? How does. How does making friends and relationship apply to business? It has everything to do with it. The way that we interact with other people determines the results that we have in our business. Now, you might be somebody that has made excellent plans, business plans, plans out 10 years ahead and hit milestones, but you can't find your value and your worth of who you are in doing that. It's about a community. It's about building a community around you of people that can rally around you. Because a team is what makes the dream work. Not controlling and making people on your team do the right things. Not making sure that they make the right decisions, not making sure that people agree with you of how things should. I was listening to Tony Robbins a couple days ago and he said to scale up higher in business is about letting go of control and being and allowing other people to take control of areas of your business. That's where plateaus happen. When we hit plateaus in our businesses, it's because we are trying to control too much. As soon as we let go of that, things start to blossom and flourish. I'VE seen this in my life. And the biggest makes that happen is confidence in ourselves and being willing to lose everything for our goals. Being willing to lose everything we ever worked hard for to reach our goals, to lay it all down, to be okay with our reputation getting hurt, be okay with haters and judgment and losing finances and resources to build our life to where we want to go. Once we can become okay with that, not having to prove ourselves right and having our confidence from within. This is the core right here, my friends. This is the core positive self image that you believe in yourself even if nobody else does. That you believe in what you can do even if nobody else does. You know, I'm going to tell you a story. I talk with people all the time in business. I share about how I've helped build companies to seven and eight figures over the last 17 years. Companies that I worked with built strategies and plans for marketing and membership systems and business plans that radically exceeded sales goals. And yet I still get people all the time that don't believe that I can do what I say. I don't believe that I have the ability to do that, whether it's because of their niche or whatever. And you know what I've had to come to grips with, I'm okay with that. I don't need everybody to believe in me as long as I believe in myself. I don't need everybody to believe that I can do what I say that I can do as long as I have that confidence in myself. And so that lack of confidence is. I'm constantly trying to get other people to validate that I'm good enough to do the things that I claim to do. I don't need that and neither do you. You don't need other people to validate your ability to do that. Sometimes when we feel like certain areas of our life are out of control or we don't have control over decisions in certain areas of our life, we try to control other things. Can I get an amen with that? COVID 19 happened. You and I don't, you know, unless you're at the level of government, which I know some people that listen to this might be, don't have control the decisions of the president, especially if you disagree with them. And so that lack of control and it's changing your life, it's affecting your life in a huge way. We try to control other things that we think we can control and generally will gravitate towards trying to control other people and their beliefs and what they do and how they do It. When things are out of control, we gravitate towards what we can control, to feel a sense of control. This is what led to the toilet paper run up in the markets. You know, Costco being out of toilet paper is because people felt out of control when Covid happened. So buying up all the toilet paper was an area that people felt control over. Buying up all the chicken in the marketplace is an area that people felt control over. And so this is a natural, human thing. And right now, we're all experiencing this in the world, this new normal, whether you reject it or accept it. Because I know that there's people that listen to this podcast that are on both sides of that argument. They're on both sides of the political aisle. They're. They're on opposite ends of each other on that. I know that. That's my audience. Whatever side you're on in things, we will gravitate towards trying to control what we can control. And when that comes to our business, we'll try to control how people perceive us, they think about us, the decisions other people make and everything around us that we don't have really the power to control other people. And so the way we do that is people pleasing. We'll make sure we do all the right things, say all the right words, not offend anybody, and be perfect. Perfectionism. Because as long as we do that, we feel like we've done our part to control what's around us. What's going to take you to the next level in your business is giving up the need to control other people's reactions and opinions of you. How do we try to control that? By being very passive on social media, by not putting products and services out there that we believe in, by not pivoting into other markets because we don't want our current customers to become upset and offended. These are all ways that I've seen, or maybe you're in a corporate setting and you feel like you are being bullied or approached by somebody to do something, and so you want to maintain some level of control over that. Again, I'm not condoning intimidation and coercion or control or manipulation in these settings, but when we come face to face with that, we know that that's wrong. And so sometimes if we want to try to control, that could be in our family environment, whatever that is, whatever situation. We're in so many different situations and ways that that plays out in our lives, but we. We ultimately want to make sure that the bad things don't happen from our perspective, and then when you have two opposing viewpoints on bad things, that's where they clash. Welcome to our country during an election year. That's what it is. So we're dealing with. We're dealing with the environment of our nation right now, and it's manifesting in every single area of our lives where we're protesting things, where we're trying to maintain some level of control over what we can control. And I'm not, I'm not against speaking up, using your voice, speaking out boldly, assertively, but when it comes from a position of trying to control, rather than to say, how can we come together unified, it's control is not effective. And so when it comes to business, when it comes to your customers, when it comes to sales, because I don't want this podcast to be a political podcast or statement, when it comes to business and sales, we actually turn it into a political thing. And this is where I see a lot of people. They'll post on social media about politics and it gets a lot of engagement, and then they don't on other things, and it doesn't. You have to make it all about your customers. You have to make it all about what your audience wants, even if what they believe doesn't align with what you do. You don't have to make other people believe the same things you do. And so when we can boldly and confidently be ourselves in our situations, in our communications and what we say on social media, in our marketing and our ads, in our offers, no matter how somebody might judge us wrongly, when you write copy, don't be writing copy from a position of trying to make sure that you don't offend your haters, let them be offended. That's not your job to maintain and manage. And the ad campaigns that I've ran that had the most response had also the most haters on them because they were confident in the truth that they were bringing forward, you're not going to please everybody. You're not going to make everybody happy. And so when it comes to your business, trying to please everybody, trying to make everybody happy, trying to get people all too agree with you in your position is damaging and detrimental to your growth possibilities. When you're in a corporate environment, doing that, trying to make people agree with you and come over onto your side instead of saying, how can we work together towards a common goal is detrimental. There's a book on this topic. It's called Crucial Conversations. And Crucial Conversations is a book. You can look it up. It's all about how can we with Two opposing viewpoints have a conversation to come together around a common goal to help both of us go to the next level together. And so that book is very helpful on that topic. It breaks it down in a way better than I could here. But the foundation of this is having self confidence in yourself that you don't need to prove that you are right to everybody, that you don't need. Need to have everybody agree with you and you're okay with. Even if being yourself boldly and putting yourself out there in business and with sales means that you might lose some friends, you might lose some followers, you might lose some money, even testing out on ads, that's how it works. You will lose money in the beginning. You have to realize that, accept it, become okay with it. For you to ever go to the next level. Because we're testing things. We're taking bold, courageous actions. The only way to get to the next level is by taking bold, courageous actions. Even if the outcome of that single bold action is the opposite of how we had envisioned it in our mind, if it gets us one step closer to our goal, it was the right choice. And so this is the foundation that all of you, if you're listening to this right now, if you're any of my coaching clients, if you're in my group, if you listen to this podcast, you're just, are you buying my courses? This right here is gonna change everything for you. Now I know that there's different reasons why we try to control things and we try to do that and reasons why it's hard to break through to the next level. This is gonna be the hardest thing you ever do, by the way. Will be. But once you do it, it actually gets very easy. Cause once it clicks, it's understandable. A great way to help with that is personal development to grow in your self confidence and self image and doing some therapy, getting some the. That's gonna help you go to the next level. There's a website that I found, I got a referral from a friend of mine, it's called betterhelp.com so betterhelp.com is a digital platform with licensed therapists that can help you recommend it to a lot of people during this season. If you're listening to this, I'm not a therapist, I'm a business coach. But I would recommend that to some people. If you're dealing with anxiety or stress or depression, that's gonna help you. There's some, some trauma that you're dealing with that you need some help with. Okay. That's what's keeping you from going out there and getting results in your business. Serious. All right? So for you to hit the sales numbers that you know are possible for yourself, you have to be okay with not having control of everything around you, not being able to get everybody to agree with you like you, not judge you, and have full belief and confidence in yourself what you can accomplish. Regardless of the opinions of other people or what they say, that level of confidence is what's going to take you far. And no matter how much success you've ever created up to this moment in time, this right here will exponentially break you through a plateau to the next level. Okay?
