8: The Only Guaranteed Magic Pill For Turning Goals Into Success - #GrowYourLife
Consistency is the only guaranteed way to turn goals into success, whether in business, personal life, or spiritual growth. The speaker shares personal experiences and explores how mindset, identity, and overcoming fear and shame shape your ability to achieve what you set out to do.
Hello, everybody, and welcome to the Grow youw Life podcast where we talk about things that are gonna help you grow your life in business as well as your personal life. I believe that if we grow in business, in our finances, we're able to do more, accomplish more, and help more people. And we're able to then expand our territory and our reach. But to do that, we have to also grow in our mindset, our activities, our actions. They have to compound and be repeated today. And that's what I'm gonna talk to you about today. Specifically, is the only mag. Magic pill for success that exists in the universe. A lot of people, they're looking for, what is that magic pill? What is that one thing that is going to get them from where they are now to where they want to be? And a lot of times people, they, you know, they say there is no magic pill for success. I actually beg to differ with that. I'm going to disagree with that statement of there is no magic pill for success. I've thought about this and I've realized this one thing. If you take it like a magic pill, it actually will produce the results that you're looking for. And what is that magic pill? Well, here's the deal is it knows. It doesn't know the difference between things that are serving you towards your goals and things that will keep you held back. So it can't distinguish between the two. It can only be taken and applied with good habits, good choices. So getting your mindset right, getting your beliefs right about your identity, who you are, what you were made for, what you were called to do, are first important to that, and then you take this to wash it down, quote, unquote. So this magic pill for success, which decides literally everything in your life if you are going to start to be successful or not, is called consistency. Okay? And the reason why I say it's a magic pill is this. I guarantee you this. If you are repeatedly, consistently doing the things that are not going to get you towards your goals, you will not be successful if you're repeatedly consisting consistent. I am having trouble with that word here. And I'm not even going to cut this, which is great. It's going to be cool. I want you guys also to know that I'm very real, down to earth and authentic when I'm recording this type of stuff. Consistency is the magic pill because when you take the right decisions, the right actions, you write down your goals, what you're going after, the possibilities that you're creating, all this stuff that we've talked about in this podcast, and I recommend you listen. Listen to some of the older episodes as well. Now that we're on episode eight here. Consistency gets applied to the actions that you make, the decisions that you make to then equal a successful outcome. The reason it is the only magic pill for success is because it compounds. And there's a book that I really like that's about this. I heard it. I listened to the audio, like five years ago. But I had a huge impact on my life. It was called the Compound Effect by Darren Hardy. And it was when I was really focused. My only goals in life were health and fitness. You know, beyond anything else. I probably should have done more of the personal development first. I was doing the health and fitness. I got the abs, the six pack, without getting my mind right first. And so I actually had a lot of negativity behind why I was doing that. I was doing it because I felt like I wasn't worthy of love from other people, that my body dictated the value of my worth to society. That's where that came from for me personally. But the consistency of every single day, seven days a week, working out, eating the exact foods that would get me the result that consistency equaled getting the abs that I had. And trust me, I'd never experienced that in my life before. And then what I've been able to do is I've been able to take that, what I learned about consistency, and apply it to every single area of my life. And this is one of the ground floor things that if you get this, you understand this, you understand that this is a law of nature, a law of how the universe works is consistency. If you repeatedly do the actions and repeatedly make the decisions, and repeatedly hang out with people and repeatedly talk to and talk about and repeat over yourself consistently the things that are not serving you, are not helping you towards your goals, are not moving you forward to where you were called to go, you will consistently be successful at not reaching your goals. See, consistency can't distinguish between right and wrong, good and bad. The choices we make, we have to define that. But then when you apply consistency to it, that's why it's a magic pill and that's why it happens. What a lot of people get wrong is they make a good choice. They make a list of goals, a list of choices, and then. And then they start doing those choices out of fear of making a mistake, which then fear only motivates you so far, maybe a couple weeks. And then you fall right back to where you were. You weren't Consistent. The key to consistency is this is not because you feel like I should be consistent, but because I want to be consistent. And you take ownership over the choices that you made in your life, the decision that you've made, and ownership over the actions that follow that. And when you take 100% ownership over the choices and the decisions that you've made, you will be successful at those choices with consistency, with repeated activity, repeatedly following and walking out what you're declaring. So if I say this, well, I just, I struggle with negativity, I struggle with focus, I struggle with recording my videos in the morning, I'm scared of doing that. Then you consistently will start to do the activities of somebody who declares that over their life. So it's declaration plus consistency. And actually, let's put it in reverse order, take your declarations, whatever you're declaring, there's consistency in making declarations over your life. This is the ground floor base level. If you were to kind of shrink it all down to a quantum level or, or, or biologically, let's say like a primal level, a primal level of anything that is a law in, in the universe. If you're consistently watering a plant outside, this isn't even primal. This is like it's a law of the universe. That's why I said that if you're consistently watering a plant and giving it sunlight, it's going to grow. If you put that plant into shade and never give it water, it will consistently be successful at dying. So that's why I want you to get this and understand that that without consistency, a good habit, a good decision, a good choice in action, is just that. It's just motivation. It's just help and it's great. And I want you to celebrate that. Just making that decision, that, that action. I don't ever want anyone to feel shamed if they are inconsistent. See, that's the deal. I've seen a lot of people do that, where they make people feel shameful for not being consistent. And that's what also harms people, is that type of shame. And that's why I talked about that in episode number, number five or six about the shame fear control cycle. Fear that keeps you from your breakthrough. And so when we feel shamed into being consistent, it won't last. When we're fearful of making a mistake with our consistency, it won't last. When we're worried about not having enough, not having enough money, not getting things done on time, we will lack and we will walk in that place of lack, a place of mental Poverty that keeps us from where we are called to, to go. And if you're watching this, by the way, on YouTube and you see me looking over, I have my grow your life community here, people giving me comments while I'm doing this. I decided, you know, consistently doing these podcasts, what's helped me grow with this podcast, with this community, is consistently doing videos on my social media. I started every single day consistently doing it, and now I'm committing to every single morning, which is a bigger commitment. Going live with 10 minutes on my social media, consistently doing that. The very baseline. I will not deviate from that. If I am in a place where I can't do that, I am going to consistently figure out how to, unless I have no Internet access, which then, you know, have joy where you're at. It's cool. If I'm, you know, in a third world country, if we do that, I'll let you guys know that. But give yourself the freedom to make choice. The biggest thing that I see that holds people back from going after their goals and their calling, whatever it is, if it is fitness, if it is health, if it is finance, if it is business, is consistency. And then their consistency comes out of a place of shame and fear of not doing it right. That is actually the biggest thing. If your motivation is fear and worry that you're not going to do what you're supposed to, you will not be consistent. And so that's where taking ownership of your decisions, of your choices, of the things that you know that you're called to do, which comes out of identity, which comes out of truth about who God made you to be, what you were created for, what your destiny is, what the calling is on your life. And if you don't know what that is, that is because you're letting outside voices and fear write that story for you instead of listening and being silent and hearing the voice of God. You know, I heard Sean Boltz the other day, he said something powerful, you know, when he asked a lot of people, you know, how do you hear the voice of God? And they're like, well, it's usually a loud voice. That's because you're not used to hearing that. And so if you can start to cultivate this being still and being in the silence and hearing from God and having communication 247 with the creator of the universe, for me, that's where I pull that from, man. I believe that all this that's around me, that was created is inside of me. The energy and the truth and the power and the deity of God that created all this is inside of me because I believe, you know, and I believe in Jesus and so in that I'm now able to be very clear with communicating with the Spirit, the Holy Spirit that's inside of me and asking questions. And I'm even getting better at this. This is something that, you know, I struggled with even a month ago. And I'm growing in and now I'm seeing results in it of consistency in communication with heaven, communication with heavenly thoughts and a heavenly mindset and the thoughts of what is good, what is right, what is holy, what is pure, what is just, what will help me to reach the goals, the destiny and the plan, the calling that I have for my life. If you don't know what that is, if you don't know what you're called to do, that's where you got to get very clear. You got to get past this fear stuff, this shame stuff. Because your breakthrough, your destiny or calling is on the comp, is on the other side of getting past your fear and what you're worried of. And so consistency, making a lifestyle of good choices, a lifestyle of forgiveness of those that have hurt us, a lifestyle of declaration of the truth about what God says about you, a lifestyle of business. If you're in business doing business activities that created profitable results and scaling up those profitable results, making choices that you're not going to get distracted by what's holding you back or what's preventing you from progressing. The reason that consistency is a magic pill, quote unquote, is because it compounds. Now I've seen people as well in this, they will do all the right things for years. Consistency also knows no time limit. That's why it's a law. It knows no time limit, but it always works out to this if you keep consistently doing and constantly looking at what are the choices and decisions I have to make and self awareness of, am I making choices, am I making decisions, am I doing the things that somebody that would reach my goals would do? And you make choices every single day to get your mind right. Focus, be clear on your goals, your identity, the truth about who you were, why you were created, what is inside of you. And then you start to walk it out with consistency. Here's the deal man, I, I've heard this stuff, this personal development stuff, spiritual development. You know, I grew, I grew up in the church I was born and you know, the, the Christian church is where my worldview comes from. So I've heard all of this. And you know, a good sermon Takes God and shows us the truth about what God, you know, wants for our lives so we can walk it out. But the thing that I really struggled with the most for 31 years was actually consistency. That's what, where my shame and guilt came from was not being consistent. And when I finally got past the shame and the fear of not being consistent and I realized that it comes from a choice of being consistent, that's where success and breakthrough started to happen. And applying consistency to everything that I'm doing. Consistency to not do something. Okay, if you say this, if you say that, and this is, this is something that Tony Robbins says a lot. If you say that, you're gonna, you're, you're quitting smoking and you're, you're five days from quitting your five days, Five days since you've taken a cigarette. You're actually counting down the days to your next failure because you're, you have one foot still in the door in the doorway of where you came from instead of looking at. I am no longer a smoker. For me, I, I used to smoke cigarettes and not, not a good thing. You know, I, I stopped that. I am not a smoker. I've, I've had people offer it to me, and it's not a temptation because I made a choice to be consistent with not smoking. Every single day you make a choice to go to the gym. Sometimes you make a choice to not go to the gym too. This is something that I've actually had to do sometimes in my life, is not have shame and guilt about breaking certain consistency because that's where then we start to get tripped up. I would actually get tripped up. I'd be so good. And then I would have one day where I didn't do it, and I would have shame and guilt over it and I would beat myself up, and then it wouldn't make me want to go after it again because I never wanted to feel that feeling of failure failing myself. And now I have the mental strength and awareness that there are some days when I make a choice to not do certain things, to spend time with my wife, to focus on what I'm building in my business, to focus on consistently doing what helps me reach my goals. See, a lot of times we also allow other people outside noise to dictate what our goals are, what our accomplishments are, what we should be doing. The should do's of life instead of choosing that's the should do's for them. And that's great. And if my goal was their goal, that is what I should be doing. But you have to get clear about your goals. And consistency only comes out of clarity of your goals, which comes out of the identity, getting past the fear, all this stuff that we've been talking about. But you have to choose your goals, and I want to invite you to do that. Make a lifestyle and a habit of consistently being self aware of the decisions and the choices that you're making and the goals that you have for your life. And also forgiveness, forgiving yourself if you make a mistake, if you fall down and then getting right back up again, a lifestyle of consistency, of falling down and getting back up. Here's the deal. If you consistently fall down and never get back up, you'll keep doing that. But if you consistently get back up, get on the horse. Do you see how this applies to 100% of everything that you do? Every choice you make, every activity you make, every part of your life. If I consistently spend time with my wife, consistently make our marriage a priority, our marriage will grow. And if I don't do that, it won't. If I consistently spend time with God, my life improves. If I consistently walk out my calling by choice, not because of guilt or shame of what I should do, but because I am choosing. These are the activities that I am doing, and this is what I'm called to do. And when I apply consistency to that, I do it repeatedly. Things start to manifest, things start to break open for me. And I've seen this as well. This is why I said consistency knows no time limit. I know people that have consistently, they've recorded, you know, a hundred, 200 podcasts, but they're still struggling to get 20, 30 listeners. And then I know people that consistently record podcasts, and they are the number one podcast in the world is because there's consistently choices to make. But if you keep doing things consistently, you keep doing the actions that helped you grow, to grow your life, to reach your goals eventually. This is now where the law of attraction comes from. I probably heard about the law of attraction. The law of attraction only happens with consistency. Consistently defining your choices, your actions, your decisions. And then what happens is, let's say you're, you've been doing this for 10 years and you're struggling and you can't get there. If you consistently do it, you will eventually find the people to help you do it. The choices to make, the missing keys, the missing link to what you've been looking for, what you've been trying to go after, because you've been consistently making a lifestyle of Going after your goals. And so I want to encourage you, if you are burnt out, tired of struggling, keep going on the hamster wheel and struggling with reaching your goals. I want you to join my grow your life community and let's start a conversation. There's people in there that are working towards their goals as well. And we've had breakthrough in just the last week of people talking about this. It's a place where you can network with, possibly meet the person that could help you go to the next level in your life as well. A networking community. And if you keep putting yourself in places, making decisions and doing the actions and the activities of somebody who is reaching the goals that you've said that you have for your life with consistency, eventually it will work out and you will reach those goals. You will reach where you are going, not because you should, but because there's a choice that you make. And consistency then starts to manifest those things for us. And this is a law. If you consistently make the right choices, consistently make the wrong choices, you will manifest the wrong reality, the wrong stuff in your life. But if you consistently start to, you get clear about your identity and it all comes from that place of identity. You consistently walk out the decisions and, and the actions that will help move you towards where you're going, eventually it will start to work out and it will start to open up and manifest. And then you start to consistently create the reality, the future, and you pull down from the dimension of possibility of what is not into the dimension of what is real. You know, Elon Musk, when he was making his electric cars that are now some of the top selling cars in the United States, everyone thought he was crazy, but he consistently pushed that message and he created something that did not exist before in our world today. It's amazing. Amazon.com, jeff Bezos, you know, consistently driving home, making the choices, what would build that somebody that you look up to, Maybe a leader, maybe anybody, whoever that person is for you, if you're looking up to them, it's because you see something in them that you also see inside yourself. But the difference is they were consistently doing the actions that got them there and then they eventually got there. So you have to. This is all this. Consistency actually means nothing. It does nothing by itself, standing alone without something to attach to. So you have to take the choices and decisions and then chase it with this magic pill of consistency. You just take consistency. That's a pipe dream, that's a fantasy. It's not going to help you do anything if you're just taking consistency for consistency sake. Without a plan, without a vision, without a goal, without choices, without getting past these fears and limitations, it does nothing. It's like taking a sugar pill, but it's a magic pill when you take it and chase, you take it after to push and drive forward the decisions and the choices and the actions you're making. Then when you attach consistency to it, acceleration happens. Consistency plus choices and decisions, equal manifestation of the realities that you are creating. The choices then start to manifest and materialize in front of you. If you're consistently making the wrong choices or the ones that aren't serving you for your goals, not even the wrong ones, just the ones that aren't serving you for your goals, you will consistently manifest struggle, shame, fear. If you're consistently being fearful, shameful. That's what manifests in your life. But if you consistency, make declarations, truth, get clear about your identity, forgiveness, releasing those things, realizing it's a choice, not out of guilt or shame. And you consistently make a lifestyle of this. And then you make your decisions and your actions consistently from this place. And you walk out those decisions and actions with consistency towards your goals. The sky's the limit. Impossible possibilities become reality for you. And so that's what I want to encourage you in is this. That's why it's the only magic pill that exists. But by itself, it doesn't do anything. But when you apply consistency to action, I've heard a lot of people say dreams by themselves don't mean anything without action, and that's true. But action by itself is only a dream that will fall flat without consistency. I believe in you, and I know that you can do this. I know that you can accomplish it.
