I want to give you 5 practical keys to winning your loved ones to the Lord. Now, I want you to approach this with faith, and I'm with you. I know that sometimes when people harden their hearts, it can become discouraging. And you might look at the situation, you might look at the person you're praying for. Even now, as I'm talking, if you're thinking of a particular person or a group of people that you've been praying for for a while, or maybe They just seem so resistant to the gospel. Every time you bring up the scripture, maybe there's an argument, there's tension. They're so resistant that you're beginning to doubt that they can ever really be saved. Listen, what's impossible for man is possible with God. And ultimately, we're not responsible for the choices that they make. Yes, we can follow these keys, but if we're all tangled up with that emotional burden, It's gonna be difficult to do this in the Spirit, and we end up acting in the flesh and causing distress where there should be peace, confusion where there should be clarity. You are not the Holy Spirit. Let the Holy Spirit do his work as you simply obey his word. So key number 1, present the truth. Now, this is pretty practical. You've heard the saying, preach the gospel, and if necessary, use words. Well, let's just do away with that thinking because the preaching of the gospel requires words. You have to speak the truth. In Isaiah 58:1, we read, Cry aloud, spare not, lift up thy voice like a trumpet, and show my people their transgression, and the house of Jacob their sins. Luke 5:32, I came not to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance. There's a call out to the unrepentant. Acts 3:19, now repent of your sins and turn to God so that your sins may be wiped away. Acts 17:30 says, God overlooked people's ignorance about these things in earlier times, but now he commands everyone everywhere to repent of their sins and turn to him. So there is a call-out. There's a message that has to go forth. Preach the gospel, share the truth. Don't be ashamed of the gospel of Jesus Christ. It is God's power to save. Yes, the gospel is offensive by its own nature. It offends those who are self-righteous. It offends those who don't think they need a Savior. Yes, the gospel will stir emotions, but don't preach the gospel just to stir emotions. Preach it to present the truth. And presenting the truth of the gospel, offending people is not our goal, but neither should it be our deterrent. In other words, I don't preach it to offend, and I don't withhold just because people are offended. Number 2, practice purity. In Luke 11:33-36, we read, no one lights a lamp and then hides it or puts it under a basket. Instead, a lamp is placed on a stand where its light can be seen by all who enter the house. Your eye is like a lamp that provides light for your body. When your eye is healthy, your whole body is filled with light, but when it is unhealthy, your body is filled with darkness. Now watch this, verse 35. Make sure that the light you think you have is not actually darkness. If you are filled with light, with no dark corners, Then your whole life will be radiant as though a floodlight were filling you with light. Your purity gives power to your testimony. You can't witness to someone that you're sinning with. You can't effectively evangelize towards someone that you're participating in ungodly behavior with. If they're influencing you to live in darkness, how can you influence them to come into the light? No dark corners means no hypocrisy. Hypocrisy will ruin the effectiveness of your evangelism. Are you a good testimony? When they look at you, do they see Jesus? Now, I'm not saying you have to be perfect, nor am I saying that if you're not perfect, you're somehow responsible for them going to hell. I'm not putting that burden on God's people because the Lord doesn't put that burden on you. But the question has to be asked, is the way I live getting in the way of the message I preach? Don't live one way in church and among God's people, and then an entirely different way among the people of the world. Don't participate in the things that you know are wrong. Let purity flow, let light shine. Don't allow for any dark corners. Number 3, pray for the lost. In Romans 10:1, we see an example of this. Brethren, my heart's desire and prayer to God for Israel is that they might be saved. So here we see Paul the Apostle, telling us that he prays for the salvation of a nation. You can pray for the salvation of a loved one. Consider also 1 John 5:14. And this is the confidence that we have in him, that if we ask anything according to his will, he heareth us. That means if his word promised it, you can pray for it. Well, what's his will? God is willing that none should perish. But that all would come to everlasting life. So if it's his will that they be saved, you can pray for their salvation. Don't doubt the power of prayer. As you pray for them, you can pray for divine protection. As you pray for them, you can pray for God to bring to them godly influences. You can pray for God to remove ungodly influences. You can pray that they're uncomfortable and convicted in their disobedience. That God would speak to them through dreams and visions, that God would send prophets and signs and wonders, that the Holy Spirit's presence would go before them, that divine opportunities would be presented, that God would reveal his goodness, and God would rescue them for their disobedience. This is what you can pray. There is power when you pray for your loved one. So go to him and say, Holy Spirit, work on them, soften their heart. Put them in the right place at the right time, with the right people, under the right circumstances, with the right attitude, and move on them. Draw them to you. Don't give up on them. Keep praying. Number 4, present power. In 1 Corinthians 2:4, we read, and my message and my preaching were very plain. Rather than using clever and persuasive speeches, I relied only on the power of the Holy Spirit. So yes, of course, there's a preaching that comes along with it, as you, especially as you compare this with the holistic teaching of scripture, particularly the New Testament. So yes, there is an element of preaching, but we must also rely on demonstrations of the power of the Holy Spirit. I've seen people come to the Lord as a result of a deliverance. As a result of healing, as a result of a financial miracle, as a result of a miracle in a marriage. I'll never forget when I was in TJ, Mexico, and a woman had brought her husband to the service where I was ministering. She had been praying for him for years. He was very stubborn, resistant. Somehow she was able to convince him to come to this service. So during the service, I began to pray for the sick as I do, and In that service, a little boy was healed. He was blind in one eye. He came to the front and testified of how he was now able to see. He was crying, we were testing him, we were rejoicing. I'll tell you, there was faith in that room as we heard this little boy share his testimony. And then that night, during the altar call, the man who saw that little boy healed came to the altar. And that was the husband that the woman had brought. She'd been praying for him for quite a while. But what I didn't know until a little bit later was that that little boy was that man's son. And he saw Jesus open his son's eye. And when he saw Jesus open his son's eye, his heart that was hard softened. Never underestimate the power of a miracle. Number 5, demonstrate love. Watch this, Matthew 9:36-38. Speaking of Jesus, when he saw the crowds, he had compassion on them, 'cause they were confused and helpless, like sheep without a shepherd. He said to his disciples, the harvest is great, but the workers are few. So pray to the Lord who is in charge of the harvest, ask him to send more workers into his field. What was the result of Jesus's compassion? It was a move toward, yes, the miraculous, but also evangelism. He recognized that more workers were needed to reap the harvest. And so compassion should be the motivation behind our evangelism. You ought to demonstrate love. Now, God is love. So then, the way we love ought to convince even the most stubborn skeptic that God is real, because they can see the love of God in us. This right here is my prayer, that God would give me divine love, supernatural love, love that when people come into contact with it, it transforms their outlook on life. That when they receive of that love, they burst into tears because they've never felt such a thing, or their hearts become softened toward the gospel because they finally feel seen. They finally feel valued. We live in a harsh world, a cruel world. Everywhere you go, there's conflict, pressure, There are burdens, there are distractions, there are many reasons to feel inadequate, cast aside, rejected, overlooked. The world minimizes people. How refreshing it is when someone from the world who experienced nothing but darkness comes into contact with you, someone who represents the love of God. And it should be so. When they come into contact with you, that the divine love of God so overwhelms them in the way you talk to them, in the way you look at them, in the way you treat them, that it so overwhelms them that they desire to hear the message that you speak. That love should flow through you. May we be expressions Of God's divine love. So precious Lord, I lift that one to you now who is believing for the salvation of their loved ones. And I pray that you, by your Holy Spirit, would help them to correct those areas that need correction and to begin to act according to your word. Lord, we lift our loved ones to you now. In fact, I want you to write the first name of your loved one or loved ones, and let's all pray for them together. And check that comment section, pray over those names yourself. Father, in Jesus' name, we lift our loved ones to you. We entrust them to you, Lord. Help us to do our part, and we know that you are the one who saves. We give it to you, the burden, the heaviness, the frustration. Help us to walk in the light as we trust you to handle the rest. In the mighty name of Jesus we pray. And I want you to type it in the comment section if you believe it. Type a big amen. Amen.
