In this teaching, the speaker argues that merely reading the Bible provides information but does not transform the reader. The missing element is the revelation given by the Holy Spirit. When the Holy Spirit teaches, it turns information into life‑changing insight, helping believers understand and appreciate the deeper spiritual treasures contained in God’s Word.
You go to read the word and you're getting information, but there's not this transformation taking place in you. That missing ingredient is the revelation that comes by the Holy Spirit, because when the Holy Spirit teaches you, it's not just information; it's life-transforming revelation. So where now he will teach you of those things that you ought to know, he will help you to understand and appreciate in greater measures those wonderful treasures of truth that have been deposited in our lives through the giving of the word of God.
