In this brief sermon, the speaker challenges a common misconception among Christians that the Holy Spirit is distant or remote. He asserts that the Holy Spirit is present from the moment a person is saved, and any perceived distance is merely a result of the individual's lack of awareness of that presence. The speaker emphasizes that the Holy Spirit does not need to draw nearer; rather, believers need to become more conscious of the Spirit already dwelling within them, regardless of their feelings, beliefs, or sense of worthiness.

Chapters

Many Christians imagine that the Holy Spirit is off in the distance, a million miles away, maybe distant in the heavenly realm. But the only distance that can exist between you and the presence of the Holy Spirit is your unawareness of his presence. It's not that the Holy Spirit needs to come closer to you. It's that you need to become more aware of him. The Holy Spirit is present at the very moment you are saved. Whether you feel that or not, whether you believe that or not, whether you think you're worthy of that or not, you have the Holy Spirit. Great.
