An anxious heart can't hear the whisper of the Holy Spirit over the noise of fear. In Matthew 6:25-26, Jesus gently reminds us that worry has no rightful place in a life led by God. And yet, many believers live gripped by anxiety, constantly imagining worst-case scenarios, rehearsing everything that could go wrong, and bracing for impact instead of trusting in divine peace. Though the Holy Spirit is ever-present, His voice is often drowned out by our mental storms. Instead of walking confidently in God's promises, We overanalyze, panic, and then spiral. I know God is able, we say. What if he doesn't come through for me? This kind of fear doesn't just wear us out, it weakens our spiritual clarity. When anxiety fills the room, faith gets pushed to the corner. The Spirit's guidance is steady, but we keep looking to fear for direction. Peace isn't found in having all the answers. It's found in trusting the one who does. Let his voice be louder. Get my book, Holy Spirit: God Within You, at encounterthespirit.com.
