Ask the Author

Would you pass up an opportunity to sit with the author of your favorite book? Nobody understands a book like its author. Now, the Bible was authored by the Holy Spirit, yet believers often forget that they can seek His guidance as they read it. Every word is God-breathed, and when you read, you're not alone. The author, the precious Holy Spirit, sits with you. This is why you should pray, teach me, Holy Spirit. Don't just settle for information. Let him open your spiritual eyes. He'll highlight what you need to see, correct where you're wrong, and comfort where you're weak. Revelation comes when the Spirit himself guides your reading. He's not distant. He's not silent. He's with you now, ready to explain his own word. Let the author himself sit beside you as you pray, teach me, Holy Spirit.
