Be careful of negative people

In this short sermon, the speaker warns that consistently surrounding oneself with negative people can erode a believer’s mood, faith, and expectations. He describes how negativity spreads like an infection, pulling the Holy Spirit’s encouragement to believe and expect good things into a mindset of doubt and anticipation of the worst. While occasional negativity is normal in any relationship, the speaker stresses that when the pattern is nonstop and persists despite attempts to address it, the listener should first have a direct conversation, and if the behavior continues, follow the leading of the Holy Spirit to set firm boundaries or even cut the person out of their life. The overall message is a call to protect one’s spiritual health by being vigilant about toxic influences.
