In this sermon‑style motivational monologue, Jeremiah Tipton urges Christian listeners to mature in Christ by taking personal responsibility for how they use their time. He critiques the common habit of waking up without a plan, schedule, or intentional goals, which leads to ineffective use of the day, missed prayer, and a sense of overwhelm. Tipton proposes a solution: recapturing and stewarding the morning. By establishing a disciplined morning routine and intentionally scheduling prayer time, believers can experience peace, confidence, and a clearer sense of purpose throughout the day. The message emphasizes stopping excuses, avoiding blame on external factors, and deliberately setting goals and prayer blocks to align daily activities with spiritual priorities.

It's time to grow up. It's time to mature. It's time to step into who you are in Christ. It's time to take responsibility for the life that God has given to you. Stop making excuses. Stop blaming your job. Stop blaming your school schedule. Stop blaming the other people in your house. Take responsibility for the way you spend your time. Take responsibility for the way you set your schedule. Now, many believers find themselves just waking up and kind of taking the day as it comes. They wake up without a plan. They wake up without a schedule. They wake up without an intention. They wake up without a list of goals that they have or things that they need to accomplish in that day. And then they just go about the day aimlessly. And because of that, they're not as effective. Because of that, they're not making full use of their time. And because of that, they're skipping prayer or they're giving God the leftovers, or they're so overwhelmed by what they feel like is an impossible schedule that they can't even focus while they pray. How do you get control of this? Well, you got to get control of the morning. You recapture the morning and you take the day. If you can steward the morning, it sets you up on the right pace, because when you get control of the morning, it brings peace. It brings a calm, a confidence in the schedule that you've set. You're not praying wondering, do I have time to accomplish everything I need to accomplish today? Instead, you're praying knowing, this is the block of time that I have with the precious Holy Spirit. And you can take your time with that, knowing that it's scheduled in there.
