The Holy Spirit is already with you, even when you feel far from God. Closeness comes not from the Spirit moving toward you, but from turning your heart toward Him. Surrender invites an immediate, loving response from the Spirit who dwells within.
If you feel distant from God, remember this: the Holy Spirit isn't far from you. He's closer than you think. Being close to the Holy Spirit isn't about Him moving toward you. It's about you becoming aware of Him. The moment you turn your heart toward Him, He responds, not with reluctance, but instantly and with love and passion. You don't have to strive or beg. You simply have to surrender. He lives in you and is always with you.
