A sermon on severing relationships that pull you toward ungodly behavior. The speaker cites 1 Corinthians 15:33: bad company corrupts good character. He argues that compromising to avoid offending others lets worldly influences replace the Holy Spirit's guidance and weakens your faith and spiritual discernment.

Think about those friends that constantly pull you to compromise. They're constantly trying to get you to go where they go, think like they think, joke like they joke, act like they act. And instead of setting a godly boundary, instead of saying, no, I'm not gonna allow you to have that kind of influence in my life, sometimes we compromise because we don't wanna offend people, or we don't want them to look at us as silly or naive or inexperienced. We wanna be taken seriously by the world, but you have to set those godly boundaries. And especially if they're constantly pulling you in ungodly directions, especially if that's the whole basis of the relationship. You ought to cut it off. There's a time to set a boundary, and there's a time to say goodbye. And this is where we have to win that battle. So the enemy uses these ungodly influences, the enemy uses these ungodly relationships to cause you to think like the world, to cause you to be weakened in your faith, to cause you to be weakened in your purity, to cause the influence of the Holy Spirit to be replaced by the influence of ungodly voices. 1 Corinthians 15:33 says, don't be fooled by those who say such things, for bad company corrupts good character.
