A speaker argues that believers empowered by the Holy Spirit become a threat to rigid religious systems, just as the Pharisees called Jesus' miracles demonic. This spiritual fire spreads and dismantles legalism, doubt, and fear, making the anointed dangerous to established religion.

As God begins to use you, as you begin to finally tap into that power that's been deposited in you, you become a threat to the status quo. You become a threat to the religious systems. They'll say you're weird, or they'll say you're too extreme. That's what the religious system does. It criticizes the power of the Holy Spirit. Think about the Pharisees. They criticized the power of the Holy Spirit at work in the life of Jesus. So that when he would cast out devils, they would criticize him saying he's casting out devils by the power of Satan. They called the power of the Holy Spirit demonic. And so you begin to upset that system because you can't be controlled, because you're not gonna be quiet, because there's a fire that burns in your heart and you know the truth. You've encountered the living God. And here's what makes it worse for the religious system. You want others to have that same encounter. And so the fire doesn't just stay in you. The fire begins to spread. And little by little, people come out of legalism. Little by little, people come out of the bondage of stifling the Holy Spirit, that religious thinking. People come out of the bondage of doubt and cynicism and skepticism and fear, and they begin to embrace the fullness of the power of the Holy Spirit. God can use your life in that way. God wants to do it in your life and through your life. That is what it is to be dangerously anointed.
