In this short sermon Jeremiah Tipton asks the listener, “Did the Holy Spirit leave you?” and answers with biblical teaching that believers are united with the Holy Spirit at the moment of being born again, becoming “one spirit” with God. He explains that the Holy Spirit, promised by Jesus as the Advocate, never departs from a believer; He is not removed as punishment for failing to be holy, but rather remains to empower and patient‑ly transform the believer’s nature. The speaker encourages listeners that when they sin, the Holy Spirit is still present, urging them to try again. The message concludes by directing listeners to a resource, “Holy Spirit: God Within You,” available at encounterthespirit.com.

Did the Holy Spirit leave you? Here's what the Bible teaches. But he that is joined unto the Lord is one spirit. Here's what happened when you were born again. You became one in spirit with the Holy Spirit of God. Take notice of how the 2 waters become one. Now, can you tell me where one begins and the other ends? Can you separate for yourself the 2 glasses again? Jesus said, and I will ask the Father, and he will give you another Advocate who will never leave you. He is the Holy Spirit who leads us into all truth. Let me ask you this: what sense would it make for God to remove from you your only power to be holy as a punishment for you struggling to be holy? The Holy Spirit abides not to excuse your sin, but to empower you against it. He's patient with your actions as he changes your nature. So the next time you make a mistake, remember, You're not alone. The Holy Spirit is with you saying, try again.
