A pastor explains how Scripture protects you from Satan's attacks. He says the enemy exploits confusion, emotional pain, and hard times to plant doubt, pride, and lust. Reading, memorizing, and living out God's Word builds a wall against deception.
I cannot stress this enough. The written Word of God is your greatest weapon against the enemy. The written Word of God will ground you. It is a safeguard for the heart. It is your protection against deception. The Word is. So when I'm in the Word and I know the Word and I'm familiar with the Word and I'm meditating on the Word and I'm memorizing the Word and I'm living the Word, it's a wall of protection against the deception of the enemy because he will come in. And he will find you in your most vulnerable state of mind, in your most vulnerable emotional state, in your worst circumstances, in the most confusing times, and he will plant seeds of doubt, he will plant seeds of pride, he will plant seeds of lust and temptation and accusation and deceptions of all forms. And so we have to be grounded in the Word. That is the foundation.
