Have you ever felt like God gave you something, but you keep sitting on it? It's easy to think waiting is harmless until you realize you're burying what God entrusted to you. In Matthew 25:24-30, Jesus warns that passivity is not harmless, it's dangerous. The servant who buried his talent didn't steal or squander it. He simply did nothing. And for that, he was called wicked and lazy. Spiritual laziness minimizes the influence of the Holy Spirit. Today, this looks like ignoring your spiritual gifts, Year after year, claiming you're not ready. It shows up as dodging God's call with excuses like, I'm too busy, or, someone else could do it better. It's spiritual passivity, hours spent on entertainment while intimacy with God gets pushed aside. It's feeling the Holy Spirit prompting you to pray or speak up and deciding it's not convenient. God doesn't bless buried potential. He rewards action, faith that moves, risks, and obeys. Don't let fear or laziness rob you of purpose. Use what he gave you, or you risk losing even that. Wake up, step up. God is waiting. I wrote a book to help you understand the Holy Spirit. Get Holy Spirit: God Within You at encounterthespirit.com.
