Jeremiah Tipton speaks to Christians who pray, study, and work hard but see no results. He argues that visible outcomes may never come, but faith means staying soft to God's voice and trusting his timing anyway.

And this is where many Christians find themselves weakening in their faith, in that extended period of time where nothing seems to be happening. Now, I wanna say, of course, we ought to be doing the right things, obeying God, being diligent, working hard, studying the word, praying, being a good Christian. But I'm saying that even while you're doing the right things, that sometimes the right things don't seem to happen, or the right doors don't seem to open, or the right connections just aren't being made, or they're not seeming to be made. This is where now you have to begin to persevere, not just in the action of waiting, but also in the attitude, making sure that you are keeping the faith, keeping your heart pure, keeping your heart soft toward the voice of the Holy Spirit, staying with that childlike mindset, trusting that God will do what his word says that he will do.
