The Holy Spirit has emotions and grieves when believers disobey, give in to temptation, or neglect prayer and Scripture. The speaker urges listeners to recognize the Spirit's feelings and commit to living in obedience instead.
Many believers don't realize that the Holy Spirit has feelings. Don't grieve the Holy Spirit. When we live in disobedience, we grieve the Holy Spirit. When we choose to say yes to temptation and no to God's leading, we grieve the Holy Spirit. When we neglect prayer, the Word, and basic spiritual disciplines, we grieve the Holy Spirit. Make a determination now that you'll consider his feelings, that you'll live a life pleasing to him, and that you will not grieve the precious Holy Spirit.
